We stayed two nights in August 2024. Overall, we had a good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel for those visiting Geneva. It does appear the hotel is attempting to rebrand itself the “Hotel President” instead of the “Hotel President Wilson.” The hotel’s location is top-notch for exploring Geneva. It’s right on Lake Geneva, along a long pathway that’s great for walking or running lakeside and accessing the various points that people enter the lake to swim. It’s also close to the public transit boats that cross the lake, as well as tram stops for accessing other parts of the city. (Geneva visitors are granted free access to public transit, which makes using the boats and trams easy.) Service at the hotel was exceptional, particularly from the front desk, bell staff, and concierge. The concierge was helpful in arranging for lunch and dinner bookings and made good suggestions that aligned with our taste. All taxis, etc. that had been requested were available at the time promised, and the concierge was helpful with public transit directions. Service at breakfast was less helpful, though by no means poor—just a little slow and not as attentive. The breakfast buffet was relatively similar to other major European hotels, although we noticed (given the hotel’s clientele) more international dishes on the buffet. I’ve certainly seen more elegantly presented buffets and wish this buffet had more fresh fruit/melon than was available. A service disappointment was that, as a Marriott Bonvoy elite guest, I was given a coupon for a ‘welcome drink’ of beer or wine at the bar, only to be informed as we concluded that sparkling wine was not included with this offer. The coupon should be clearer—sparkling wine is wine! Otherwise, service at the bar was pleasant. In an area with a lot of traditional European architecture, the hotel’s architecture is functional and unremarkable—basically, it looks like an office block tower. (The large windows do afford nice views of Lake Geneva and/or the city.). Inside, the decor was a bit of an odd mix—the lobby was quite modern (with particularly gorgeous flowers), while the hallways and guest rooms had very traditional decor. The rooms in the hotel are fine, if nothing remarkable, particularly considering the cost. On the plus side, the air conditioning worked brilliantly (on very hot days) and the bed and bedding were extraordinarily comfortable. The closet was large and the storage in the closet area was smart. While everything was in good working order, decor and technology in the guest rooms felt below the standards of today’s five-star hotels. For example, the television was small, oddly low-lit, and hard to see from any angle except directly in front of it. Only one of the bedside tables contained outlets for phones, laptops, etc. The very traditional furniture felt a little large for the space. This restaurant is extremely overpriced Ordered soup for $35 that tasted like it was from a can. Avoid this restaurant if you can. Food quality and servings are definitely NOT worth the price I would never go back 👎🏻 Complete Rip-Off 🚮 …….

酒店位置很好，出了火車站就是，但是並不吵，附近公交車也非常方便，走路去大噴泉20分鐘，附近還有幾家中餐廳，有點小貴但味道還不錯，床品質量一般但還算乾淨，有空調，而且空調很給力，早餐15瑞郎也還算公平

This is a very nice hotel, located close to the lake, restaurants and Old Town Geneva. We were very happy with the location and professionalism of the staff. The room, bathroom and bed were small, as is typical of many hotels in Europe. Our chief disappointment was that although the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning, it was not turned on in the hotel even though it was late May. We base our hotel choice on whether or not it has A/C, so we were not pleased that it was not available during our stay. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at The New Midi.

The service at this property is great. Your needs are anticipated by the team, and the iced coffee is excellent, as well as the afternoon tea.

We chose this hotel to be near our daughter's flat and are we ever glad we did. I have traveled the world for more than 40 years so it takes a lot to impress me positively or negatively. Hotel Rousseau provided two wonderful 4 night stays in December. The location is stellar, convenient to all that you might want to do including the train station. The rooms are clean and well designed. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Shamsa was at the front most of the time and made sure all was right with our stay in every way. We will be back! It was a really great experience staying here. It was a little pricey so hopefully there’ll be better promotions next time ◡̈ but the hotel was so nice to give travel passes for buses, trams and trains. This was unexpected and a life saver. It’s a stone throw away from the train station and the junior suite was a comfortable size when you have a toddler.

I stayed here 3 nights. I did get my room right away when I arrived, I had a morning flight so this was wery nice that I got the room so early allready. I did get the place where I could work. Hotel room was clean and there was everything what I needed, nothing special but everything was like it should be. The view from window (was possible to open entirely) was amazing, river/lake and mountains. I loved it! Location for the hotel was great and it was easy to walk almoust anywhere at the city. There was also a lot of cafeterias and bakeries really close so at least I didn't miss a hotel breakfast what didn't include to my room price. Staff at the hotel was nice so no complaints about that. Remember that in Geneva your room price includes free ticket to the public transpotation. Remember to ask it from reception. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

The hotel is very beautiful! All service are okay except the cafe did not allow you to have half boiled egg. They only serve whatever on the counter and the old lady server did not accept when i requested for half boiled egg. The young lady server is very good. Despite full marks on overall service and experience, i wont coming back because of the unhappy breakfast days. The old lady server ruined my morning mood.

A fine urban hotel in a little less touristy part of town . I was granted early check- in with no problem. The clerk was pleasant and friendly. The room itself was small & compact , but fully functional, personally , I found it quite cozy . A/C worked extremely well at chilling the room down . And although I had a front room facing the street , ( with construction going on ) with the windows closed noise was kept to a minimum. The overall feel is contemporary, clean & tasteful. Breakfast was simple , yet ample , and very well tended to & constantly under care of an attendant. Really a pleasant place to stay .
