Palazzina B - Contemporary Studio

Let me start with a quick summary... We travelled to Switzerland and Italy through the month of September. This property easily ranked last of all the properties where we stayed during our month-long trip. It all started with the taxi from the train station that could not take us to the pedestrian only location of the property, a taxi we only took because we wanted to avoid the rain falling in Genoa that day. So we got wet anyway and got to pay for a taxi on top of it!!! Then we got to the front door of the property, in a rather dark, deserted location with very unpleasant smells emerging from the street, only to be faced with no response from the doorbell for the Palazzina B - Contemporary Studio. Calls to the phone number provided to us by the property also went unanswered. We then decided to ring another doorbell for the building in an attempt to at least get the front door opened and get out of the rain. We were not able to get the door opened but the lady answering the doorbell agreed to contact the property owner/manager for us. A few minutes later, a rather frazzled lady showed up to open the door informing us she was not expecting us at this time (or the other couple who joined us for that matter during the half hour or so it took us to get some attention). Next, we were taken to the floor where the rooms were actually located. There we were informed of an unspecified problem with the room we had booked and proposed a different room instead. As we were taken to the latter room, our reaction was instantly that it was totally unacceptable to us, and I immediately began to look for alternative accommodation in Genoa. At that point, we were offered a room in a different property a few blocks away, The Seven Residence, which we reluctantly agreed to visit. There, we were showed a newly renovated Deluxe Studio which we found to be consistent with our original expectations and acceptable to us. As it turns out, that accommodation is listed on *********** for about 20% more than the one we originally booked but we were charged the agreed upon price for our original accommodation. The only positive element of this review! Finally, after we left the property, we were informed by *********** that the owner/manager declared us as a No Show at the original property and seeking feedback for that No Show. Presumably, the owner/manager was either attempting to avoid the commission they pay to *********** or avoid the type of review I am hereby providing since *********** prevents reviews for a No Show. Based on our experience, we can only suggest that Genoa has better accommodation worth consideration than Palazzina B - Contemporary Studio. Luc in Canada

Alle 3 di notte sono stata svegliata con la sensazione che delle persone mi entrassero in camera. Questa, e cioè l' assenza totale di insonorizzazione, una delle pecche, e forse neanche la peggiore, della struttura. La camera, grande e spaziosa, ma priva di armadio dove riporre anche solo una camicia. La posizione: sì, centrale, vicina a qualunque atteazione di Genova, ma vicina al porto. Non solo di sera, ma anche di giorno, una donna da sola non può sentirsi sicura in mezzo ad un degrado sia urbanistico che umano. Infine, ma avrei dovuto metterlo all' inizio: la freddezza dell' accoglienza e la rigidità delle regole di pagamento, di orari, etc. Insomma: un' esperienza da non ripetere. Per i gruppi di amiche, ragazze o donne che si sia, fortemente sconsigliato.

Perfetto punto d'appoggio per visitare l'Acquario e altre attrazioni. Il contesto è quello del centro storico, con i pro e contro, in una palazzina credo interamente adibita allo stesso scopo. L'alloggio è carino e ben organizzato negli spazi, indubbiamente sfruttato. Se proprio vogliamo trovare qualche pecca, sono proprio solo dettagli di poco conto (la guarnizione della doccia, il porta rotolo nel bagno, una rinfrescata ai muri..) , ma per me è andata benissimo. La pulizia era impeccabile, la qualità del sonno molto buona. Al mattino un po' di trambusto nelle scale e difficoltà a prendere l'ascensore per via dello staff addetto alle pulizie (non bisogna avere fretta). Check-in rapido, check out in autonomia. Per il parcheggio, bisogna organizzarsi coi bagagli (non si puo' arrivare con la macchina sotto la palazzina). Per la colazione o aperitivo, sotto trovate diversi locali molto validi. Lo consiglio!

sehr schön eingerichtet, gute Lage mitten im Zentrum, Parkhaus ist etwa 500m Fußweg entfernt (teuer, ca. 25€/N). Entgegen der Beschreibung war im Zimmer kein Safe, keine Dockingstation (aber das ist/war egal). Zimmerservice findet nicht statt - Ferienapartment eben. Manche engen Gassen in der unmittelbaren Umgebung sind nachts nicht sehr vertrauenerweckend.

Buona sistemazione in centro a Genova, prezzi vantaggiosi, arredo di gusto e staff molto cordiale, ottimo per weekend! Non comodissimo il bagno in corridoio (bagno comunque privato e ben indicato in descrizione). La posizione è ottima, molto vicino all'acquario
