Gloria Palace Hotel & Spa

The food for 2 weeks was the same every day and of poor quality. Salads are often from the previous day. Meat not eaten for lunch is cut up, poured with sauce and served for dinner as a new dish. I didn't leave my room for 2 days because I was sick due to poisoning with stale food. Alcoholic cocktails are not included in all inclusive. Beachwear is not allowed in the 'Pool Bar'. The bartenders at the 'Beach Bar' completely ignore all inclusive customers. There is no outside toilet and you have to wear clothes to go to the lobby toilet. There is no bottled water and the only dispensers are in the restaurant which closes at 10pm. The lack of water in bottles is explained by the hotel as taking care of the environment, but drinks are poured into plastic cups. Coffee machines mostly don't work. When the black tea ran out we had to wait 4 days for a new one to be delivered. No ice cream was served for 2 weeks. The wines included in the all inclusive are diluted with water and completely tasteless. Pool seats and beach chairs are sold to people outside the hotel, therefore there are not enough places on the beach for hotel guests during the weekend. The service also sees nothing wrong with removing guests' belongings in their absence to sell the place. The promised sauna and gym are open 3 hours a day. The beach in front of the hotel is dirty. There are a lot of cigarette butts in the sand that no one cleans up. There's a lot of waste floating in the water. The water is always very dirty and there are usually lots of stinging jellyfish in it. The only nice moments we spent in Albania were when we rented a car in a neighboring hotel and went south to Sarande for 4 days. Yes. We rented a second hotel because we couldn't take it anymore at Gloria Palace.

Food is Cold and poor. Cannot understand why all food is cold. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eggs, meat and french fries -everything cold. Don’t buy all-inclusive! There is a lack of kitchen and service education here!

very nice place. Absolutely 5 stars. However, the service is lacking. In the rooms, bathroom there is absolutely nothing that should correspond to 5 stars. No ear swabs, no soap files (liquid soap only), etc., absolutely nothing. The breakfast buffet is perhaps worthy of a 3-star hotel. Service and staff unfriendly, no good morning, no greeting. The management should definitely train its employees in dealing with guests. Paper glasses or plastic glasses for coffee. On arrival you get wristbands, like in a simple mass hotel. No suitcase help. Conclusion, building great, but the management should definitely visit another 5 star hotel in the world. The price is good, reasonable for a 3 star hotel.

The moment my partner and I arrived on the premises we had a bad feeling just by looking at the Hotel from the outside, the second bad feeling came when we checked-in and the receptionist told us that we have to pay for the entire week otherwise they would not let us to our room. The so called 5-Star Gloria Hotel has to be the worst 5-Star Hotel we have ever stayed at. We have stayed at numerous 5-Star Hotels and therefore are well familiar with the standards of such, therefore I can say with confidence that Gloria does not meet 1 standard associated with such Luxury Hotels. First of all, this has to be one of the most disappointing parts is that the pictures uploaded sadly do not match reality, the pictures were taken in a way that does not reflect reality. The first thing that was not indicated on the photos is that the Hotel does not have a private beach of its own but rather has a segment in a very crowded public beach with a public crosswalk between the Hotel and the Beach which is not recognisable on the pictures. Secondly, we had a room on the 8th floor (which is the highest floor) and heard people screaming and loud music on the street the entire night because the windows could not be shot properly which allowed all the noise to come in. Thirdly, on the couch there were staines which for a so called 5-Star Hotel is unacceptable.Fourthly, the Breakfast in the morning was really disappointing, the ‘’fresh juices’’ were everything but fresh it has to be to this day the most artificial juices I have ever drank, this has nothing to do with a 5-Star Hotel but is rather closer to a very good 2-Star Hotel or a bad 3-Star one. When I went down to the reception in the morning inform them that we wanted to check-out and get my money back for the nights we did not stay they wouldn’t refund me the nights we didn’t use, shortly after the receptionist called the manager and the him called the owner they all told me that it is non-refundable, they also told me that if I had payed the entire stay with cash they would have refunded me the money which I fund very strange and unnecessary since I payed with card and therefore was not liable for a refund. After discussing for a while they started getting aggressive and rude towards me so I decided to end the conversation there. To conclude, this Hotel is designed for proletarian who want a wanna be Luxury Holiday. We absolutely do not recommend the Hotel for anybody who actually wants to stay at a 5-Star Hotel and has standards of such furthermore the staff was really rude and unwelcoming.

We had a great 10 Day stay at the Gloria Palace, the weather really good apart from last 2 Days. The Hotel is in a great location with fantastic Sea views. The staff (all of them) are fantastic very friendly and helpful, the Hotel was spotless clean and the Food good although a little repetitive. The Entertainment was Ok, however lacked when the weather changed. The piece the Team could have got better would have been to provide coverage of the Queens Funeral, we had to go to a Bar in Town to watch it. Overall really good, we will return..

Beautiful and extremely clean hotel, with helpful and happy staff. Lack of variaty on fresh drinks and bread at the breakfast. Beautiful view from our room with two balconys. Insidepool was closed. Outside pool is a bit cold, but spacious.

Eigentlich war das Gloria Palace nur ein Ausweichquartier. Doch es war mehr als das. Zimmer: absolut sauber und funktional. Service: sehr gut. Abendessen: reichlich und geschmacklich gut. Leider gab es Wein aus Albanien nur in der Flasche und nicht offen im Glas, so bin ich auf einen Italiener ausgewichen. Frühstück: wir mussten relativ lange warten, die Qualität war sehr gut. Die Obstauswahl hätte größer sein dürfen. Das Wetter war katastrophal, aber dafür isr das Hotel nicht zuständig. Insgesamt: zu empfehlen.

Hotel rzędu raczej 3* . Pokoje zadbane i ładnie urządzone ,sam hotel również czysty. Opcja all inclusive w kuchni bardzo uboga ,codziennie to samo monotonne jedzenie ,niestety zdarza się chłodne . Część basenowa bardzo mała ,na zdj wydaje się być bardziej rozbudowana. Na około basenu stoliki ,przy których goście jedzą posiłki ,a zaraz obok znajdują się leżaki do opalania co jest dyskomfortem. Sama obsługa miła i pomocna ,wieczorki animacyjne słabe - najczęściej jedna osoba gra na keybordzie i śpiewa , bardzo często nie ma miejsca żeby chociażby to obejrzeć . Hotel robi rezerwacje dla ludzi z zewnątrz przez co goście hotelowi nie mają gdzie usiąść . Bar przy plaży ma ograniczoną ofertę dla hotelowych gości ,nawet kawy nie można zamówić - jedynie woda ,piwo i niesmaczne ,słodkie soki. Jeśli masz ochotę na drinka ,herbatę ,kawę - musisz iść do restauracji głównej ,co jest dużym mankamentem,nie wspominając już o Panu który siedzi tam jak za karę i jest nieuprzejmy . Woda w morzu brudna ,uwaga na meduzy ! Mnie jedna z nich poparzyła i przez kilka kolejnych dni miałam problemy ze skórą.

Wysoki standard hotelu, przestronne i ładne pokoje, trafił się nam super widok boczny na morze w kierunku Durres z 6-tego piętra. Miła i pomocna obsługa w recepcji, sprawny odbiór naczyń podczas posiłków oraz w barze wydawanie napojów, na plus także czystość w hotelu i w pokoju - sprzątanie codziennie, wymiana ręczników pokojowych oraz plażowych , czytelna informacja w hotelu na temat zasad - płatny minibar, praktyczne godziny posiłków, brak tłoku podczas posiłków, wi-fi świetnie działa , zasięg był także na plaży- duży plus. Hotel jest nieco na uboczu, jest spokojnie ale aby dostać się do centrum konieczna taksówka, wzdłuż morza dostępna przyjemna choć krótka promenada na spacer. Do doskonalenia: czystość w otoczeniu poza hotelem. Plaża piaszczysta, obuwie niepotrzebne, nie było problemów z miejscem na plaży, praktyką jest wywieszenie tabliczki z nr pokoju na parasolu plażowym, czasem można natrafić na organiczne elementy np trawa, morska, patyczki itp, prysznic po wyjściu z wody dostępny, meduz nie spotkałem. Basen przy obiekcie - można swobodnie popływać, - przydałoby się jedynie nieco więcej miejsca wokół leżaków. Jedzenie smaczne i pod dostatkiem, często uzupełniane , śniadania, lunch i kolacja duży wybór, także owoce morza, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie, kawa dostępna cały czas z ekspresów oraz woda z dystrybutorów lub gazowana dostępna w barze, nie było konieczności używania czajnika w pokoju, napoje alkoholowe w barze ale z lokalnych komponentów, przy plaży także dostępne piwko, woda, ewentualnie soki z dystrybutora, jak dla mnie zbyt dużo plastikowych kubków w użyciu. Podsumowując: polecam i dziękuję za udany wypoczynek.
