"We booked a vacation at this hotel for June 2024 based on the reviews. Upon arrival, no one met us with the transfer, so we had to walk about 500 meters with our luggage to the hotel, assuming you can find the way. There was a long line at the reception desk, and only one staff member was checking in over 15 people in line. During check-in, we were informed that the next day we would have to pay an additional 20+ € tax per room for a seven-day stay. The room was quite comfortable but very small, with a limited number of sockets. The bathroom had only liquid soap and two towels, which were very worn out. Cleaning was at a very poor level, and there was a constant sewage smell in the room. But the worst part was the service and the food. The food was monotonous, tasteless, and got worse every day: cold, overcooked, rubbery, and under-seasoned. The bar didn’t help either, as the selection was very limited: water, beer, wine, and a few types of local spirits. For non-alcoholic drinks, only water from dispensers in the restaurant, mineral water at the bar, and three types of artificial juices were available. These juices tasted even worse than they looked. There was one coffee machine for the entire hotel, which constantly had long lines, and the coffee tasted more like chicory. For fruits, the first few days we had only apples and oranges, later occasionally cherries and watermelon appeared. Breakfasts included four types of unsavory scrambled eggs, horrible sausages, and cereals. Lunches were a couple of types of pasta, soups, and rice. The meat and fish were horribly prepared, and the salads seemed to be leftovers from the previous day. Dinners were almost the same as lunches, just without soups. In the All-Inclusive restaurant, the staff behaved inappropriately, approaching girls with personal conversations. After politely asking them to respect personal space, stalking and then ignoring began. The staff liked to lecture the guests, including bartenders, receptionists, and cleaners. It felt like you were not a hotel guest but a child in a summer camp with unpleasant counselors. Bringing food and drinks to the rooms is prohibited, with fines ranging from 50 to 100 €. At the beach bar, everything is for an additional fee. To drink water on the beach, you have to get dressed and go back to the hotel. Moreover, the hotel infrastructure leaves much to be desired. The pool is very small and located in the dining area. Poolside spots are sold to guests from outside the hotel. Internet is also poor - Wi-Fiwith a good connection is available only in the lobby. If you plan to work or stay connected, this will be a problem. Overall, our stay at the Gloria Palace Hotel was very disappointing, and we do not recommend it for a visit."

"For a 4 star Hotel, the offerings were basic at best - stayed in a double room accommodation. Pros: • Staff: Welcoming & friendly greeting; arranged airport transfer to hotel, helpful in communicating with tour guide. • Room: Clean, comfortable mattress, rooftop balcony • Location: A short walk to the beach, shops, and town centre. Cons: • Communication: Not very quick in their response to e-mails or Whatsapp ＞ I e-mailed to arrange airport transfer 2 days before departure, response received & transfer arranged day of arrival • Breakfast: Very limited variety and repetitive daily selection. • No room ammenities i.e. no shower screen (had to mop floor after every shower); no shower mat (had to place a hand towel on the floor to dry feet); no hospitality tray (had to ask for glasses for drinking); no bedroom bin; TV not picking up Netflix or Youtube despite 2 attempts at resetting; no luggage racks to place suitcase • Noisy bathroom extractor fan • Housekeeping attended to the room once in the 7 days we were there • Surrounded by ongoing construction"

"We were very disappointed with our trip to Albania. The hotel is not a 5-star hotel, and not all the reception staff speak English, which is the bare minimum for a hotel claiming to be 5 stars. The staff in general are unpleasant, except for two or three people in the restaurant, the cleaning staff, and the towel dispensers. Those at the cocktail bar are incredibly rude. The "all-inclusive" package is a joke; it's just beer, raki, and cognac (these last two being digestifs, by the way). We travel quite a bit, and we've never encountered this problem with all-inclusive packages. The cocktails are expensive, and the prices seem to be from last year. The beach is dirty, with lots of cigarette butts in the sand, and the pile of seaweed dumped haphazardly on the beach with a tractor—they had to move all the sun loungers to get it back on the beach, even though it was crowded—is simply unacceptable! No afternoon snacks; our teenagers were disappointed, and it was the first time we'd ever seen this in an all-inclusive resort. The restaurant always served the same thing, and nothing was hot or cold, always lukewarm. There were lots of young children doing whatever they wanted, with parents playing loud cartoons for their toddlers in the restaurant. The clientele was disrespectful and behaved like they were in a bad mood. The spa had no staff, and children were playing ball or with large inflatable rings in the spa pool—unheard of! There were lifeguard chairs on the beach, but no lifeguards? In short, nothing was right. This was our first and last time in Albania. Our advice: bring in managers from Spanish chains to teach the staff how to work and respect tourists, because this is just amateurish! The photos online don't represent reality, for example, Ksamil and the hand and the beaches in general, because when you're waist-deep in the sea, you can't see your feet right at the edge of the beach. The only positive point: the bedding; we slept well."
