Half boarding was my favourite. Fika, dinner and breakfast included... they even prepared vegetarian food for us. Helpful staff. Room was comfortable and location was 10mins walk from central station.

Fantastic location as it is near to the central station, tram and bus stop, and a supermarket. Generally, room is clean. Meals (breakfast, fika and dinner) is good too. Love that it offers vegetarian options. Had a great stay and may consider to stay here again if I visit Göteborg.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was spacious. The breakfast was generous. The afternoon fika was simple but nice. We counted it as service on top. The dinner was also very good. The gym, sauna is outsourced, publicly available too. Good equipped. The hotel in general was giving the feeling of simplicity, we liked it very much.

My husband and I had a wonderful 15 night stay here over the holiday break in Dec/Jan. The staff were all so kind and made our time in Göteburg feel like home. Room - We booked a Deluxe Double Room to have an outside window (some rooms are off the interior atrium so have limited natural light). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and soap provided were all high quality. Room had an iron, hair dryer, coffee (instant), tea, and we requested kitchen supplies (that we barely used because the hotel supplies so much food). We requested cleaning every 4 days through the front desk on the day before each time. We exchanged towels inbetween cleanings with housekeeping. Food - Coffee, tea, and water were always available and there is a bar beside the front desk to buy other drinks. Fika was a different sweet baked good each day. Breakfast had a cold section (croissants, bread, yogurt, cheese, deli meats, cereal, fruit), and a hot section (scrambled eggs, beans,  sausage, meatballs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, sometimes potatoes). Also lactose-free/ oat yogurt and milk and gluten free crackers, and biscuits. For dinner, there was one hot main, a soup, bread, and some cold salads. Vegetarian meals could be requested. Cold dishes rotated - couscous salad, pasta salad, olives, iceberg salad, Greek salad, corn and beans, cold roasted vegetables, etc.. Buffets were unlimited. Location - 5 minute walk to Central Station and a full grocery store next door. Other - Self servic laundry was convenient - just book a 2 hour slot with the front desk. There are 2 washers and dryers and only one guest has the laundry key at a time. You provide your own soap and dryer sheets. There was also a washing/dry cleaning service through the hotel, though we didn't use it. There was a gym in the building that guests have access to. Staff - Every staff member we came in contact with was so nice. The front desk staff were helpful and quick with requests like cleaning, laundry access, extra towels, and check-in (we actually had three different bookings over our stay and the reception staff made sure we kept the same room and made switching out keys and paying very convenient). The people who work in the food area are the most hard working and efficient I've seen in that kind of environment. They replaced food that was low in the buffet and cleaned tables quickly so that new people could sit down. As other reviewers have said, some of the spaces (corridors in particular) are outdated and the rooms are more apartment style than hotel but we wouldn't pay any extra to change those things. We found this hotel to be incredibly high value and would love to return.

We arrive at the room and it is full of dust/crumbs and other dirt on the floor. It couldn't possibly have been washed before we arrived! When we went to bed, there were TOE NAILS in the bed! And other dust/dirt. So sickly disgusting! It ruined the whole experience for us. Tried to tell the front desk staff about what we found when we checked out, but they didn't seem to care. If you are considering staying here, book somewhere else instead! Absolutely not worth the price.

Fantastic hotel close to the train station, and walking distance to the centre and the Haga area. Spotlessly clean rooms. Comfortable bed. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room for our adult daughter. This is a great value hotel with an excellent buffet breakfast and an evening meal available each night. Also included in room rate was afternoon Fika but we were never around to try this. Full gym access is available to the gym in the same building. Will be good when the outside renovations are finished and windows not covered over, rather a bleak arrival be warned ! Just draw the curtains. Overall highly recommend especially good value for a Scandi hotel.

Everything was really great. The staff - helpful , the food - a good choice, the beds - really comforfable.

Decent location, decent prices and decent rooms. While the place is a bit older and lacks certain modern amenities, I will say that I would much rather stay here than pay twice the rate at the nearby (overrated) Post, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

everything was perfect. nice people,hygge atmosfer,very good brekfast and dinner. perfect taste. big room with big and confortable beds. very clean all around. and the most l liked..... the rituals products in bathroom. l love these products and was first time to find them in a hotel. thank you so much clarion hotel

It is hard to find entrance and reception in the building, but when there, it is all good. Room was large and clean. Evening dinner, included, is basic but good. Service is nothing extra, but still helpful. I could stay again.

No information about noise/repair prior to the stay - workers started 07.00 on weekdays! Not enough food 45-60 min before breakfast or evening meal ended. Only 1 out of 2 elevators worked. Only 1 out of 2 toilets next to the bar worked.
