When we arrived, there was no bellman to assist with luggage. In fact, the hotel had no bellmen. We then arrived to our room that reeked of smoke. After an hour and no apology, the hotel finally arranged an alternative room for us. The alternative room had a rollaway in it when we arrived and the staff informed us that they would have it removed. 15 minutes later, a gentleman barges into the room without knocking and while my wife was changing to remove the rollaway. Unacceptable. That evening, we asked for turndown service when we were leaving for dinner at 8pm. When we arrived back at 10:30pm, no housekeeping had provided such service, but a housekeeper arrived soon thereafter to service the room so we stepped out temporarily. She took the used towels without replacing them with new ones and did not provide fresh water. I was curious what they think turndown service means. I took a shower that evening. The water starts out freezing cold and then goes to scalding hot with no warning; we had no control of the water temperature. For that matter, the room temperature was not better and was a furnace even though we set the thermostat to the coldest temperature. Also, as to the pretty pictures of the hotel in a yellow building, don’t be fooled. They have a building next door that looks straight out of a communist era - not quaint at all as the pictures of the yellow building depict. Only at checkout did the manager, Ramon, decide to meet with us. He advised that he was unaware of the smoke filled room, but did acknowledge that the water temperature for the showers was not working. While he did apologize at the end with no accommodation for our troubles, not only was it too little, it was too late. I decided to write this review to warn other travelers of the bait and switch we (and our travel agent) fell for. This hotel falls very short to the minimum standards one would expect from a 5 star hotel.

My family stayed two nights in this hotel on a tour of Alhambra Palace. The outside common area of the hotel, including the dining room, was very well maintained and could deserve a 5-star rating. The rooms inside were a different story. We occupied two rooms. One was a “superior deluxe room,” and the other was a “classic city-view double room.” Both had the same price tag. The deluxe room was spacious and well-lit but had an odd arrangement with a useless bathtub in the center. Moreover, the room smelled of sewage when we entered the room—which I notified the management. They disagreed and claimed there was no sewage smell. I did not appreciate the response, as all four of our family members smelled of sewage. Nor did I escalate the issue, as our stay was short. The city-view room had a small window overlooking the city without much viewing space. The room was tiny, with two twin beds packed in the room, and was poorly lit. It felt like being in a prison cell. The shower doors in both rooms did not close fully, so the water splashed out. In short, both rooms were substandard and did not deserve the price tag at all. My recommendation to travelers is to stay elsewhere, and if you need to stay there, avoid the small “city-view” rooms and Deluxe Room #331 that smells of sewage. I got to love Spain and its people who are very friendly and helpful, but not this hotel.

A very small hotel with 22 rooms. Their attention is focused on delivery quality experience and service. The rooms were renovated with the best equipment and materials. Breakfast spread was very compact and can't be compared to larger hotels. Overall, it was still a nice experience which I will return should we choose to go back to Granada.

This is a gem of a hotel. The staff is one of the best I have ever experienced and I travel a lot. The architecture is an amazing balance of traditional and contemporary. They have wonderful seating areas, the gym and pool are a lovely addition as well as the roof top bar. Location is perfect!

I’m sorry to deduct stars for this hotel as there is much about it to enjoy and we did. The concierge was very helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and it’s a great location for the city but ……. 1. Having a roof top bar is an asset. We were encouraged by the reception staff to visit it as it has stunning views. I asked if you had to book and was told no, open from 7. It does have stunning views as we discovered when we went up there but it was closed on Monday and Tuesday! Why? It’s peak tourist season and we were encouraged to go up there ! Very disappointing. 2. The breakfast buffet was good but there was only one person clearing and laying tables and making sure supplies were replenished. There were queues for bread, juice , bacon and eggs. It was 9am. Shame as it’s a great location .

El hotel es precioso y lo tienen muy cuidado y limpio. El personal es muy agrádenle y educado. Siempre están dispuestos a ayudarte. Fue una agradable sorpresa saber que podríamos disfrutar de la sauna. Desafortunadamente, no puedo poner a mi estancia 5 estrellas ya que la habitación no está insonorizada, daba al patio-restaurante y se escuchaban ruidos constantes. Por la noche los ruidos de recoger la cena y en la mañana sobre las 5am para preparar el desayuno mas los operarios que estarían trabajando, hicieron que no pudiéramos dormir en toda la noche. Creo que si resuelven la insonorización sería un hotel de diez!

A la hora de hacer una reseña hay que ser justo, no vale expresar que todo es malo sin también ver los puntos buenos, que los tiene. La ubicación es muy buena, está muy cerca del centro pero a su vez en una calle tranquila. Tienes un montón de servicios a un minuto y una zona de parque con el río al lado. También la comunicación y atención ANTES de llegar a la perfección, te explican todo loque necesitas saber. La zona común está súper equipada con todo lo que necesitas, incluso estantes para la comida, además tienes café e infusiones gratuitas para ti, como mapas de la ciudad a tu disposición y que muy amablemente te ofrecen. Lo que ocurre es que es un hostel de novatos para novatos. Por muy hostel que seas, no puedes dar una retahíla de prohibiciones al llegar ya que lo que das a entender es que te están controlando y eso, indefectiblemente, atrae a personas que generan descontrol. Los que somos personas que sabemos comportarnos nos genera un rechazo brutal que la bienvenida sea así. Pero más allá de consideraciones personales vamos al asunto en cuestión: todo lo que era buena comunicación antes de llegar desaparece una vez estás allí. En mi habitación, la Sol, de 4 plazas, durante 3 días hacía tal frío que se condensaba el agua debajo de la ventana y una de las camas. La dueña y otra persona aseguraban que cada 30 minutos funcionaba la calefacción, como el primer día pasé frío lo estuve comprobando por mí mismo a ver si era verdad y en mi habitación no era así. Esto se ve fácil por el tubo de agua de calefacción que estaba frío como el hielo. Sabemos que si por ahí pasa el agua queda, al menos, templado, que no era el caso. Así a la mañana del segundo día bajé a hablar con la chica de recepción para decirle que por favor si podía echar un vistazo a ver que pasaba y secar un charco de agua que había empapado mi mochila por la condensación. ”Si, si, yo luego subo” y una sonrisa. Todavía la estoy esperando. El charco y mi mochila mojada también. El tercer día, más de lo mismo, frío, la habitación súper húmeda y el suelo del cuarto mojado. Misteriosamente, al 4 día de estancia la calefacción si funcionó, el radiador estaba caliente, y al levantarme ni una gota de agua en la habitación. Too late diría yo. Lo peor que puedes hacer es no escuchar al cliente. Y menos cuando le has hecho cumplir tus normas absurdas como que al irte dejes las sábanas en una bolsa. He viajado por medio mundo en muchísimos hostels, he trabajado en esto y nunca vi algo igual. Como tampoco que te manden un mensaje y te digan cómo debes de ducharte haciendo referencia a algo que no tenía nada que ver contigo, pero que como estabas en la habitación pues asumes que es así. Supongo que a los ingleses no se los mandan, pero bueno. Total, 90€ pagados de estancia de 5 días, de los que me quedé 4, tres de ellos pasando un frío tremendo, en el enero de Granada con las noches a -3/-4 grados y sin calefacción. Un lujo. I stayed at the hotel for only two nights, but wish I had stayed for longer! The hotel - as well as the city of Granada - was really nice: I especially liked the courtyard and the cloister corridors - very beautiful. I had a nice and clean room with a large terrace with a view of the mountains. I was there in July so the terrace was too hot to enjoy during the day, but lovely and cool in the early morning and late evening. The breakfast buffet was fine with a large selection of food. The staff were all very kind and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of major sights and shopping areas, but you can also easily catch a bus to the centre of the city a short walk from the hotel.

Me alojé en este hotel durante 2 noches. Situado en una calle muy tranquila. Muy cerca del centro. Habitación estaba bien. Bien decorada. La cama era cómoda. Disponía de nevera, microondas y cafetera. Se concilia muy bien el sueño pues no había ni un solo ruido, ni un ruido de coche. Muy cerca dispones de un gran almacén y un buen supermercado. El cuarto de baño no muy grande . Uno de los días tuve problema con el agua de la ducha. Salió bien al principio pero después el agua estaba fría totalmente. El segundo día no tuve ese problema. Los picaportes de las ventanas estaban un poco deteriorados. La ventana que tenia en la cabecera de la cama estaba el picaporte sin algún tornillo y te quedabas con él en la mano. Sugiero que se hiciera un poco de mantenimiento de esos pequeños detalles. El aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien. Dispone de recepción solo durante unas horas, pero te dejan un teléfono para cualquier cosa que necesites.

The hotel staff were great. However, we had a terrible experience because there was a flood in our room which woke us up at 5am. There was water coming from the ceiling. We had to evacuate quickly. It was a very unpleasant experience and the hotel did not bother to reimburse us at all for this terrible experience. They didn’t even have the courtesy to respond to my emails. Don’t go there!

Hotel en cuarta planta de edifico buena ubicación. La primera habitación tenía mal olor en baño y nos metieron al lado a una familia de incivicos que nos dejó sin dormir. La recepción está de 8 a 22. Al día siguiente se nos estropeó el aire y pedimos cambio de habitación por los malos vecinos que teníamos. Nos cambiaron sin problemas y con mucha amabilidad. No hay mini frigo. Buena ubicación. A grandes rasgos no está mal por el precio.

Pertama sekali, apabila kami bertanya kepadanya tentang pemanduan di kawasan peredaran terhad Granada, Maria di kaunter penerimaan tetamu mempunyai sikap defensif dan agak ”angkuh”. Jika pengantaraan boleh diminta, ia mencapai tuntutan kami bahawa kami memasuki hotel dengan baik melalui gelung penghalaan terhad mobiliti. Kami hanya ingin tahu sama ada mereka boleh memberitahu kami untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, tetapi kami mendapat sikap bertahan dan ”mencuci tangan .
