When we arrived, there was no bellman to assist with luggage. In fact, the hotel had no bellmen. We then arrived to our room that reeked of smoke. After an hour and no apology, the hotel finally arranged an alternative room for us. The alternative room had a rollaway in it when we arrived and the staff informed us that they would have it removed. 15 minutes later, a gentleman barges into the room without knocking and while my wife was changing to remove the rollaway. Unacceptable. That evening, we asked for turndown service when we were leaving for dinner at 8pm. When we arrived back at 10:30pm, no housekeeping had provided such service, but a housekeeper arrived soon thereafter to service the room so we stepped out temporarily. She took the used towels without replacing them with new ones and did not provide fresh water. I was curious what they think turndown service means. I took a shower that evening. The water starts out freezing cold and then goes to scalding hot with no warning; we had no control of the water temperature. For that matter, the room temperature was not better and was a furnace even though we set the thermostat to the coldest temperature. Also, as to the pretty pictures of the hotel in a yellow building, don’t be fooled. They have a building next door that looks straight out of a communist era - not quaint at all as the pictures of the yellow building depict. Only at checkout did the manager, Ramon, decide to meet with us. He advised that he was unaware of the smoke filled room, but did acknowledge that the water temperature for the showers was not working. While he did apologize at the end with no accommodation for our troubles, not only was it too little, it was too late. I decided to write this review to warn other travelers of the bait and switch we (and our travel agent) fell for. This hotel falls very short to the minimum standards one would expect from a 5 star hotel.

A beautifully renovated old house with a garden in the centre of Granada, on a cobbled street with restricted access to vehicles. Perfectly situated for visiting the myriad of tapas bars and shops in the surrounding area and a short taxi ride from the Alhambra. We spent two nights here in a third-floor room in the eves with sloping roof and skylight windows, perhaps not the easiest for a couple in their seventies to open and close the blinds with a pole and fortunately my tall husband managed to avoid banging his head! The fourth floor terrace was shut and obviously in the process of being repaired. The staff were charming, helpful, and friendly and an added advantage was the valet parking service (beware trusting the Sat Nav as it tried to take us up one-way streets). Sadly, there were a few minor *******. The room safe didn’t work four times out of five and we had to leave valuables at reception. The bathroom fittings were modern and impressive but the plug in the washbasin (in a separate cupboard) could not stay closed, the shower screen on the bath was too short and you ended up flooding the floor as the water pressure was very high (no complaints about the hot water though, really quick and plentiful). The knob to fill the bath appeared to be completely stuck. There were coffee and tea-making facilities in the room, but the kettle had a very short lead and we had to plug it in on the floor. Most annoying was the fact that in a two-person room there were only two sachets of coffee – one ordinary and one decaf and only one sachet of sugar – the first morning we thought this might have been an oversight but there was no change on the second day! On arrival we found two very small bottles of complimentary water, this was not available on the second day (though the room rate was the same), presumably to make you purchase very expensive bottles from the mini-bar. And talking about coffee, don’t have breakfast if you can’t function without your daily caffeine hit! The coffee in the machine was really horrible, incredibly weak and tasted sweet (even without sugar), the waiter said the decaf would be better if he brought it from the kitchen, but this was still weak and sweet. There are many bars around the hotel serving proper coffee with breakfast. We did not eat in the restaurant as the menu did not appeal and the option was not there on the second night as there was an all-day corporate event on.

The hotel staff were great. However, we had a terrible experience because there was a flood in our room which woke us up at 5am. There was water coming from the ceiling. We had to evacuate quickly. It was a very unpleasant experience and the hotel did not bother to reimburse us at all for this terrible experience. They didn’t even have the courtesy to respond to my emails. Don’t go there!

I stayed at the hotel for only two nights, but wish I had stayed for longer! The hotel - as well as the city of Granada - was really nice: I especially liked the courtyard and the cloister corridors - very beautiful. I had a nice and clean room with a large terrace with a view of the mountains. I was there in July so the terrace was too hot to enjoy during the day, but lovely and cool in the early morning and late evening. The breakfast buffet was fine with a large selection of food. The staff were all very kind and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of major sights and shopping areas, but you can also easily catch a bus to the centre of the city a short walk from the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of classical Spain. This hotel is well situated, there’s a 10-15 minute walk up to the city centre, passing some interesting squares with plenty of opportunity for refreshments. Check in and out was very efficient. There is a small bar area, and there was a reasonably decent buffet breakfast served, which we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy at leisure unfortunately. Sadly we didn’t have the opportunity to try the swimming pool. Our room 314 was cool and of a good size, clean and well maintained. There was good air con, a safe and a fridge, no kettle though. The bed as often out here was 2 big singles put together, firm and comfortable though. There’s the benefit of a reliable satellite tv signal whilst relaxing in your room. The main benefit is the hotel’s excellent location though, a good base from which to explore this fine city.

I came here several times in the past five years but I was happily surprised this time. The hotel has been entirely refurbished like three weeks ago and it looks completely new. Rooms size are correct and decoration is very modern. The best the B-Heaven bar which is located at the rooftop with the pool. Its location is awesome too, in downtown but avoiding crowds. Very recommendable!

Pertama sekali, apabila kami bertanya kepadanya tentang pemanduan di kawasan peredaran terhad Granada, Maria di kaunter penerimaan tetamu mempunyai sikap defensif dan agak ”angkuh”. Kami hanya ingin tahu sama ada bil hotel atau bil mereka boleh diluluskan. Jika pengantaraan boleh diminta, ia mencapai tuntutan kami bahawa kami memasuki hotel dengan baik melalui gelung penghalaan terhad mobiliti. Kami hanya ingin tahu sama ada mereka boleh memberitahu kami untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, tetapi kami mendapat sikap bertahan dan ”mencuci tangan . Kami menghargai kebersihan bilik yang cetek dan kami menjumpai topeng terpakai di bawah katil! Maklumlah sarapan pagi pukul 10, jadi kalau mereka terharu, kami terpaksa beratur setengah jam untuk masuk. Kebimbangan umum pekerja, kecuali penyambut tetamu Maria, 10
