Ashfield House

For those whom haven’t visited the stunning village of Grassington. You’re missing out on one pretty place. And a step back in time. We were lucky enough to arrive when they were filming “ All Creatures Great And Small” People and actors dressed their appropriate attire….costumes for what period they were filming. And old vehicles here and there, which was brilliant. We were booked in at Ashfield House. Just after the Devonshire pub, turn left up a small but lovely driveway, and around the back to a lovely little car park. On entry was met with a warm a friendly welcome. Taken to a room that overlooked a beautiful well looked after garden. The room was stunning, with a king size bed. Facilities for making hot drinks, tea,coffee, & hot chocolate. The bathroom was also stunning and very clean. The room had everything you needed. At breakfast, the tables were well spaced apart, and had a great array of different serials, as well as cooked dishes. We had the Yorkshire full breakfast. And it was delicious. We will definitely come and visit this place again. Thanks so much for your hospitality. Mr & Mrs D Moore. ❤️

Fantastic b&b in a central location in the village.. the room was excellent with access to a small outside area on the first floor and came with complimentary Prosecco and cakes. the b&b also has a lovely garden area with tables to sit at and they also serve up a great breakfast.. when we are next back in Grassington we will almost certainly book the Ashfield..

My husband and I stayed here for bank holiday weekend and could not have wished for a better place to stay. Breakfast was lovely with lots of options and nothing was too much trouble. There is a lovely lounge area with complimentary Sherry and an honesty bar where we spent each night talking to other guests until the early hours! We have booked to stay again in October '24 because it was so good!

I’ve put off writing my review as whatever I write will not do this slice of heaven justice. Stayed in the garden suite for 4 nights. Met by Stephen on arrival and given the general tour of the suite. Definitely made the right choice of accommodation, having our own sitting room was perfect, and our own private garden the icing on the cake. Breakfast was brought to our lounge, at the requested time. The choice was huge, I can’t think anyone would not find something here to enjoy. Eating in the lounge added to the relaxed atmosphere of our stay - we loved it. The place was spotlessly clean, towels changed on request, extra supplies of tea bags etc provided. We didn’t meet Lynne but Stephen and his team were first rate - thank you to all of them. We arrived weary and left refreshed and completely chilled. This place is wonderful, and if you are fortunate to book in here you will not be disappointed. When can we come back?……………

Spent an overnight stay here whilst touring North Yorkshire. What can I say, everything was perfect from the location right through to breakfast. We were met by a lovely lady called Lynn who showed us around on arriving , everything was explained in detail regarding the property, Prosecco greeted us on entering our room as was bottled water & biscuits. There was also complimentary sherry in the lounge. We had a brilliant stay it’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer

Stayed one night. Room was comfortable with nice shower. Property is located just off the main square close to all the All Creatures Great and Small must see spots. There is a private car park so no worry of where to park!! Gardens are extensive and very well kept. Breakfast was incredible. There are many options for breakfast available so something for everyone. Can’t wait to return…

First time visit to Grassington and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. We had 2 nights here and highly recommend it. The room was lovely and comfortable and we were made to feel really welcome. The breakfast here is perfect - you certainly don’t go hungry! Lovely place with a lounge, honesty bar and beautiful gardens you can sit in and free parking on site which is a real bonus in Grassington. Highly recommend a stay here.

Our first ever trip to Grassington and delighted to have chosen this beautiful B&B to stay in. I loved the location and how quaint this place was. It is filled with charm and plenty of character. It oozes with olde world, creaking floor boards, uneven walls, low ceilings, simply bliss. Lynne is the perfect hostess, warm welcome, couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Bedroom number 1 was spacious, complimentary prosecco an added bonus. Comfortable bed, luxurious bedding and spacious bathroom. Free car parking space and literally less than a minute to walk to the High Street. Breakfast choices plentiful and the biggest breakfast we've ever had. Check in was supposed to be from 4pm, however was able to check in at 2:30pm. I doubt that there is anywhere nicer to stay. Highly recommended

Had a delightful night in Ashfield House which should have been longer because this b&b is punching above its weight and providing great service comfort and a great breakfast as well as being dead centre of .grassington. With free parking and only 100 metres to the village centre this an ideal situation with village access but also to the various walks from the centre without touching the car. Nice rooms overlooking lovely peaceful gardens, this is a little oasis and both management and staff provide friendly and efficient service. Some nice touches are complimentary sherry and treats in the lounge and an honour bar for in house drinks at prices which undercut the local pubs. Breakfast is of the highest quality, great choice, and super quality. We will need a longer stay next time.
