It's a lovely place with a big, beautiful pool, and wonderful staffers. The room had a part of the deck that was right over the sound. Beautiful. I had some health concerns and management could not have been more helpful, especially Kimberly and Monica. A few things could use a refresh -- The room I was in didn't have a bureau or closet -- just a small rod over the night table. I believe the suites do have closets. They did bring me extra hangers and offered to bring me a clothing rod. Like I said, the staff is unbelievable. One of my deck chairs broke when I sat on it but was quickly fixed. Similarly the air conditioning filter needed to be replaced and it turned out it was torn. The lock to the door kept sticking but the accommodating handyman fixed that as well. Don't be surprised if you can't figure out how the blinds close. They're a little different but they're fine. Just ask someone to show you. The onsite restaurant, The Halyard, is five stars (in my rating system) and the best place to watch the sunset but you'll also want to check out restaurants in town anyway. That's much easier with your own car. I was able to get Enterprise to deliver a rental for me to the hotel. There's also Jack's Shack next to the pool for a quick snack (I have to mention the Hummus they make which is unbelievably good) and The Low Tide Bar on the sand. There were a few groups celebrating events and a beautiful wedding party taking pictures. Good call. And did i mention that pool? A great place for a quiet unwind.
