The hotel is in a great location, right by the river. It's a great experience to sit on the balcony and have breakfast and enjoy the view. The waiters are also nice and helpful. It's close to attractions such as the Iguana Park and the Malecon 2000 Riverside Trail.

Very good service! I will consider staying here next time! It would be better if there was a printing device at the front desk! I will recommend my friends to stay here again! The location of this hotel is great!

Centrally located hostel with difficulty resting due to street noise; some rooms are interior without ventilation and the mattresses are very uncomfortable; There is little interaction with guests. The good thing is breakfast

For the price paid, the service was exceptional. Note, however, that there are two areas in the whole city where there are standards and safety is greater. Manso boutique is located on the waterfront in the old historic district. For two or three blocks this area is fine, but thereafter it changes for the worse. The other district is north of the airport and bus terminal - the best area of the city so I've heard. The former requires a taxi as the distance is far from your arrival point. Uber taxis were sub $3 each way in the evening and $4 is the average. Manso guesthouse itself has a sea view and a secure door lock. A balcony is present and food and drinks are available at reasonable prices. The WiFi wasn't great at all, and the shower was only warm (though refreshing as Guayaquil is very humid), but I was given a spacious twin room (though I booked a dormitory) and the included breakfast was a nice touch consisting of egg, fruit, juice, coffee and other things. The staff were friendly, the cleanliness was good and the decor stylish. Would recommend if you wish to visit the area 110%, though stay north of the terminal if your trip is brief.

It was impossible to get any sleep in this warn down hostel. At the last floor of the building there’s a privately-owned terrance, where they usually party all night. The music volume was unreasonably high from my room. It felt like being at that party. The hostel owners cannot do much about it, since it’s another private property and so they have no control over it. I had to change hostel in order to get some sleep.

Great location and friendly staff. They offer free breakfast and coffee/tea. I like to sit on the balcony and look out. The room and bathroom are old and don't look clean. The shower was small and the metal soap holder sticking out scratched my arm.

El hotel tiene habitaciones privadas y compartidas, muy limpio (todos los dias limpian las habitaciones y todas las zonas comunes varias veces por día) y la ubicación es inmejorable: está en el centro de Guayaquil, es un zona muy segura y llegas caminando a casi todos los atractivos. Además está muy bien conectado por transporte publico a distintos puntos de la ciudad asi como a la terminal terrestre y al aeropuerto (la linea 1 de la metrovia tiene parada a 2 cuadras). Una de las entradas del Malecón 2000 está justo enfrente, y es masomenos la mitad del recorrido, asi que es muy comodo para caminar hasta un extremo, volver al hotel para descansar o seguir hasta el otro extremo. El desayuno es riquísimo, es completo, es casero, es sano, y cambia todos los dias, pero siempre incluye frutas, algo con huevo, jugos de frutas exprimidos e infusiones. Todo el staff es super amable, los chicos de la recepcion Denisse, Javier y Christel me ayudaron en todo y me dieron toda la informacion que necesitaba. Los dias de semana ofrecen almuerzo de 3 pasos a muy buen precio. Super recomendable! // The hotel has private and shared rooms, is very clean (every day they clean the rooms and all common areas several times a day) and the location is unbeatable: in the center of Guayaquil, it is a very safe area and you can walk almost to all the tourist attractions. It is also very well connected by public transportation to different parts of the city as well as to the land terminal and the airport (metro line 1 has a stop 2 blocks away). One of the entrances to Malecón 2000 is right in front, and it is about half the way, so it is very convenient to walk to one end, return to the hotel to rest or continue to the other end. Breakfast is delicious, is complete, is homemade, is healthy, and it changes every day, but always includes fruits, something with eggs, natural squeezed fruit juices and infusions. The entire staff is super friendly, the guys at the reception Denisse, Javier and Christel helped me with everything and gave me all the information I needed. On weekdays they offer a 3-course lunch at a very good price. Totally recommended!
