We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the “4-star” Allegro Isora and are really disappointed with our stay. We are a family of 4; 2 adults, 2 children aged 7 and 5, one of which has additional needs that the hotel was made aware of prior to our stay. (SEN Parents – all I can say is avoid this hotel!) We are regular travellers, always stopping in 4-star hotels and having read some of the reviews and having seen the lovely pictures on the Jet2 website, we decided to give the Allegro Isora a try. Pro’s – there aren’t many but here goes: - The entertainment team are brilliant – they put on an array of activities throughout the week including pool foam parties, inflatable slides, kids’ games, water polo etc. They are the hardest working people in the hotel and pretty much the only friendly members of staff. - There are 3 decent sized pools, one of which has a water slide and is slightly heated which makes it great for the kids. - ‘Toni’ (female chef with glasses who works in the snack bar) is lovely. She should be given a promotion and be used as example to show all the other staff members at the Allegro Isora what good customer service is. - The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. Con’s – get comfy, there are loads. Hotel Rooms: - Everywhere is filthy. I mean utterly disgustingly filthy. Hotel rooms, communal areas, restaurants, snack bars, play areas – everywhere is horrible. I’ve included a picture of my son’s feet from walking around the hotel room for an hour barefoot – after the room had been ‘cleaned’. Ironically my son happened to move the bed slightly and there is a tent card underneath which states ‘Yes, we clean under here too!’ – yet it was covered in dust and hair, so clearly, they don’t! - We arrived late and our room A1106 had a huge damp and mould patch on the wall (see pictures). The plaster was falling off the wall and ceiling and covering the surrounding area – right where the beds were. - We upgraded to this room as it had a ‘sea view’. The sea was just about visible between the buildings, but definitely not worth paying for the upgrade. - Our room had broken windows – as in broken glass at child level height (see pictures). We had one window that wouldn’t close meaning that we constantly had cockroaches, spiders and flies in the room and at night you could hear the cockroaches. We also had a window in the bathroom that wouldn’t open. - The bathroom stunk of stale urine. You could smell it from the moment you walked in the room. It also had mould along the bottom of the shower and a filthy shower tray (see pictures). - I don’t think the room has ever been mopped, even between guests. The room was dirty from the moment we entered, the balcony had hair and cigarette ash on the floor when we arrived, and it was still there when we left, so the balcony had never even been swept. We ended up buying a dustpan and brush to try and make the room habitable ourselves. - The hotel has been ‘re
