Gangshe Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot)

This is my second time to stay at this hotel and the experience was as good as last time. Great location, friendly staff, lovely bed, nice shower. It was a good stay and I will come back again whenever I stay at Guilin.

Tidy, clean and well located to attractions downtown. Highly recommended. Front desk very responsive and was able to provide me with all necessary information before arrival from New Zealand. Airport pickup service was good price at 60¥ for two adults from the airport to hotel, I would definitely stay again. Room is on top floor with stunning view of the pagoda and streets. Bed is huge and good linens. Serviced daily. Small fridge and bottled water supplied.

Family theme room was very nice and spacious. The hotel location is strategic and it's within walking distance to Liang Jiang xihu, sun moon pagodas and elephant trunk area. It's very convenient to get food around. Service from lobby staff was superb. They were helpful and friendly when I need help to get another card by late in night. I would like to give my heartfelt appreciation to 前台小邓小阳. 他们的服务周全,态度好。

Guilin Trip was amazing! The Gangshe Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot) is within the city where you can find around the famouse Guilin Food and choose the best food you can see --- located just at the side of the hotel - the busy street foods, big and small restaurant, shopping mall, near to the Guilin river trip, to the park, and if you are foreigner like me who still love Mc Donalds and/or KFC but alaso love street food, its around the hotel. The hotel service was nice! they know I am foreigner and they take care the communcation with mix Chinese- English. One of the hotel staff added my wechat and we can talk in translated English - Chinese, which is awesome. They have free tea / coffee from 2:30 to 4 PM, it was nice Latte coffee blended with Chinese snacks. My room is a single bed, enough for a solo DIY traveller's with all the comfortable facilities needed to live comfortably. I suppsoed to believe that the view outside the window is the Elephant trunk or Elephan Hill as seen on the trip.com website, its about 10 minutes away by taxi + traffic. I spend the whole afternoon trekking in the elephant hill, explaining what about the stabbed elephant mountain hahaha. The hotel was splendid, the customer service was superb and the price was very reasonable.

I would recommend this hotel if you're travelling to Guilin. It was very good value for money!! Location - Located right in the middle of downtown, the busiest walking district of Guilin. It's walking distance to LiangJiang Sihu and Xiangshan Scenic area. It's the perfect location for a short stay in Guilin. The only downside is that it does not have a scenic view of the Lijiang River. Cleanliness - the most hygienic hotel out of the 4 other hotels that we stayed in Guilin and Yangshuo. The room was spacious and they provided all the amenities necessary for our short stay. If you need anything, just ring the front desk and they'll send it immediately. Service - they upgraded our rooms upon arrival and gave us the top floor! The staff working at the front desk were quite pushy when it came to selling us the tours for Guilin. We mentioned a couple of times that we already had set plans and weren't interested and she continued convincing us to purchase a package from them which made us feel quite uncomfortable. Facilities - The hotel provides afternoon tea snacks and breakfast in the morning. We did not make use of any of their other facilities but just overall was really impressed by its location as we were able to easily head downstairs to a street filled with other food options.

The hotel staffs were ex extremely courteous and helpful answering our questions and arranging trips. The hotel is extremely clean and modern. Their laundry facilities also saved us time. Special thanks to 阳佳慧 and the front desk for going extra mile to make our visit to Guilin as smooth as possible
