Parkim Ayaz Hotel

Just returned home yesterday after a really lovely 2 weeks. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. We changed rooms pretty much as soon as we had booked in and were shown to our room which was a small sea view room ( we booked a sea view) but given that the view was very restricted and as it was on the top floor we realised my husband would struggle with the stairs so asked to change to a more accessible room which was done immediately and we were shown the other room before making a decision. We were shown a large family room and decided to take it. The room was huge with a separate bedroom area and separate sitting area, a TV in both rooms, a jacuzzi bath in the room as well as the bathroom and a nice balcony overlooking a part of the garden abs still with a small sea view. . The room itself was great but the decor was awful and the furniture very dated. The beds were really comfy. All the staff were amazing, kind, friendly and helpful. Food was average tbf, very much the same each day however the food on Turkish night was beautiful as was the chicken curry. The food wasn’t really hot and ended up luke warm by the time you made your way around the buffet. The pancakes at midday were stunning. The Turkish bath was amazing! Myself and my husband booked this as a couple. Def recommend!! We only used the the atmosphere and the music however this also got very repetitive by the second week. We used the al a Carte fish restaurant and the Italian both of which were lovely. My main gripe was the housekeeping, or lack of it. Spoke to reception twice and to the room attendant herself as o my the beds and towels were being changed/made, nothing else was being cleaned including the sink, shower, surfaces, floors. Really not acceptable. Things improved for about 2 days but then went back to basics. The location of the hotel was amazing however I don’t enjoy walking the ***** day or night simply as you couldn’t get very far without the shop/restaurant staff coming out and trying to get you into their premises. I knew this was an issue but this was intense maybe due to the time of the year and them trying to get as much business as possible ax they were all starting to close up for the season. Oh and the flies!!!!!!! OMG they were everywhere. Overall a fabulous family holiday but I don’t think we would return.

We have just returned from a 10 night holiday at Parkim Ayaz and we absolutely loved it. I'll start with small but not detrimental criticisms: a double room, which is what we booked due to being only room left, was very small. However, hardly in your room so once we'd unpacked etc it was fine. The beach was not sandy but not stoney. It was a mixture of grit and sand so water shoes advised. We still spent a couple of days at the beach and enjoyed it. Now, the positives. Food, drink, staff, pools, entertainment and location! Food was easily 5*. There are 2 al la cartes in the hotel, you're allowed 1 visit per week's stay. As we were there for 10 days we were fortunate to eat at both. Italian was lovely food, the appetizers come out all together for you to share, followed by a starter, then your main and then desert. Service was exceptional too. The seafood restaurant was even better. My wife, son and I all like seafood. Same layout of courses but even better service. We were gutted we couldn't eat more at these restaurants. ***Please be aware you do have to pay for your drinks but prices very reasonable*** Food in the hotel was fantastic too. So much choice each and every day. Snack 2-6pm was kebab wraps, crispy chicken, chicken nuggets, fried and much more. The drinks were good, local spirits so not very strong but drink enough and you'll still be tipsy!! Traffic light cocktail for the children which my son was very fond of. There were 3 pools but we only spent time at 2. The kids pool with blue slide and cozzy pool which is where the entertainment was at. Pool parties, foam parties, water aerobics, water polo etc etc. fantastic pool to spend time around but loud, so if you like peace, the quiet pool which we didn't visit is the place to be. Slide open 10am to 12pm then 2pm to 5pm. All the staff were great, couldn't do enough for you. Friendly and happy. They work so so hard. We were more than happy to tip them. I am so bad with names but there were some that were exceptional. Our waiter in the restaurant and I think, "Hasan" at the pool bar, then a couple of guys at the Cozzy pool. Our location was amazing, walk out the hotel and there were bars and shops everywhere. Hangover Bar was brilliant, great atmosphere, loads of dancing. We will definitely look at returning one day. We met some amazing families which was good for our son. Overall, a fantastic holiday for us and the weather was phenomenal as expected. Highly recommend Parkim Ayaz.

We returned from this holiday last Tuesday. We had a good deal with EasyJet holidays and very good flight times from Liverpool airport. Transfer took around an hour which was heavy going in the afternoon and very warm. When we arrived at the hotel they were quick and attentive and helped us with our luggage to the room. Our room was above the Cozzy Pool which when we arrived was very, very loud however did have a lovely view of the sea which is what we'd asked for. The entertainment finishes at around midnight each night, some nights it was earlier, which was no trouble to us as we tended to either stay out and watch it, go out, or sit on the balcony until it finished. If you go to bed early then ear plugs are a different part of the hotel may be more suitable. We found there were very few beds around this pool and it was far too loud for us as we wanted to relax and read. We explored the main pool area which was also very busy in the afternoon that we arrived and made our way over to the bubble pool which was around a 10-minute walk (I'm currently on a crutch so probably quite slow!). This pool was great, although we did have to get up before 7:00 everyday to secure a bed and lots of people seem to secure beds then turn up around 3:00 in the afternoon and there was no one to police this. We were at the pool no later than 10:00 a.m. daily and this was often the case which for us wasn't a problem. However, for people who didn't get up early would have been a nightmare and very unfair. We preferred this pool and only went back to the others later as we made our way back to the room so we couldn't comment on how busy they were. The only criticism we would have of the bubble pool is that many of the beds were damaged and wouldn't prop up which wasn't great if you wanted to read and the number of parasols didn't equate to the number of beds. There didn't appear to be a pool person around to help either so could often be a bit of a free-for-all with lots of beds being moved as people eventually vacated them. For us though, this area was perfect. We ate out twice but all other meals were had in the main restaurant. Some days we use the snack bar facility in the afternoon just for some variety. We found the all-inclusive to be fine and enough variety to keep it interesting over the week. Freshly cooked omelets at breakfast were great too although if you went early, you might be queueing for approximately 10 minutes for these. Plenty enough food options for the pickiest of eaters we found. We also ate in the Italian restaurant on the beach on the Sunday night before we left and this was well worth a visit. It's included in the price (fish restaurant is also an option but I don't like fish!). We enjoyed the Italian, you have to pay for your own alcoholic drinks but these were very reasonably priced and to have a free meal on the beach was lovely. Hotel right on a shingle beach one side and on the ***** the other side. Everything you will need on your doorstep, bus to Bodrum town every 15 mins right outside the reception. The hotel has its quiet parts and extremely noisy parts so make sure you email the hotel beforehand to request which area you want. If you have a room over the Cozy bar don’t expect to get any sleep before 1am as this is where the evening entertainment is. Only went to the bubble pool once and the rest of the time we went to the beach because I didn’t want to get up at 6am to reserve sunbeds , the beach always had plenty of beds available no matter what time you went. I couldn’t tell you what the entertainment was like because we never saw any other than a belly dancer, we preferred to go out. Apparently the sea view rooms are not available in the bubble pool quiet area so we were put in the first block near reception which was perfect location as it was central for most things and fairly quiet. There are quite a few stray dogs and cats around the beach area which might not be everyone’s cup of tea but they were never a problem to anyone. The food in the hotel was great, always something open at all times of the day with a varied selection for everyone. A few cocktails on the drinks menu which were very sweet but plenty of local spirits to choose from and Efes beer. Only tried the Rose wine and it was drinkable but not the best. The staff make this hotel, all so friendly and work extremely hard. A special thank you to Ramazan, Ibrahim, Verhap, Ekrem & Berkan in the restaurant for looking after us and making our holiday so special. We had a Turkish bath, face mask and 60 minute massage package as soon as we arrived for 70€ each which was great but beware massage is a thai massage so very hard. We booked several tattoos in the hotel (Roy’s tattoos) which we all loved , Selami the owner was really nice and gave us a decent price. Now for the negatives, the beds are ridiculously hard, I couldn’t sleep on them so asked reception for 4 more pillows each so we could lay them underneath us. They shower was lovely and powerful but flooded the bathroom floor and once it leaked into the bedroom , the water was coming out faster than the drain could take it away so had to constantly ask the cleaner for more bath mats to soak it up. There was very little storage in the room, no drawers to put things in and few hangers. The bathroom had no shelf at all so everything had to go on the floor. Housekeeping was a bit hit or miss, twice I had to ring down to reception as the first day he only left 2 towels and there were 3 of us, another day he hadn’t come in at all, we weren’t that bothered about having our beds made but needed towels. Dirty coffee cups were not replaced with clean ones and coffee/sugar wasn’t replenished either but again not the end of the world. We went to the Italian a la carte and food wasn’t the best but nice to be served instead of buffet. You have to pay for drinks
