Hotel Mesra keluarga di Hadahaa

This is a great hotel. It's a bit of a schlep down from Male but well worth the effort. We stayed in one of the water villas with plunge pool and it was one of our favourite rooms ever in the Maldives. Having a bigger room mattered on this trip as the weather was not great. Snorkelling from the room is easy and most days at either dusk or dawn several pods of dolphins passed by, a privilege to see them. The food is very good here, although I am duty-bound to point out that I was very glad that we were all-inclusive. Some of the prices for food are very steep. ALL staff were excellent. Whoever is in charge of training is quite brilliant. Being looked after by a bunch of geniunely lovely people made a huge difference to the holiday so to Eid, Avnish, Lokesh, John, Bek, Speedy and with apologies to anyone I've forgotten, thank you so much. This is a quiet, peaceful place and we would return in a heartbeat. A small note for any divers. Whilst it is true that being this far South means there is considerably less 'traffic' at sea we did not find that this correlated with the quality of diving. Whilst there are lots of turtles, sharks and eagle rays and a wide variety of fish, we found the diving here to be average and certainly not as diverse as at Constance Moofushi, Mirihi, Komandoo or Soneva Fushi. To be fair, we had poor weather which may have impacted this but there is a complete absence of some species down here (no trumpetfish, morays, schooling bannerfish etc). The coral however is definiitely healthier. Finally, you should know that most of the dive sites are 40-50 minutes away so the two tank dive which departs at 8.30am ordinarily gets back between 2 and 2.30pm.
