Hotel Halifax dengan Bar

Lokasinya di tepi pelabuhan, dan terdapat kedai aiskrim COWS 10 meter dari pintu timur. Keraninya profesional. Sarapan pagi tidak termasuk, ia adalah sistem a la carte, tetapi harga sebenarnya boleh diterima antara 17-24 dolar Kanada. Kemudahan termasuk kolam renang dan gimnasium. Gim ini sangat besar. Di kolam renang, lelaki putih tua dan wanita tua itu melakukan perkara-perkara boros, yang juga mabuk. They had us over a barrel. Apparently the whole place was booked. Crazy expensive for a place that was less good than a standard Holiday Inn or Ramada. The room had a ton of light leaking in from the hallway door. But our problem was the old pillow-top mattress. My back's not great, and it was sagging in the middle. Painfully soft. They didn't have a spare mattress. Not one. So if a person spilled water, a child had an accident, whatever, there is NO SPARE MATTRESS? Wifey asked if the (old) couch was also a sofa-bed. The staff wasn't quite sure(!!!). It was. We asked for more sheets and another comforter. They delivered more sheets. The old sofa was, well, old. The spring mattress in it has lumps, but it was better (firmer) than the bed. The location is prime, but they have competition. Next time we are in Halifax (it's a place we go), we won't stay at the Barrington. Kudos to the nice people in the restaurant. Good value for the food, friendly staff. Front desk... No good.

Great place to stay, Breakfast was awesome, will definitely recommend this place to stay if u are visiting Halifax. Good customer service. Well maintained , clean hotel.

Bilik hotel tidak difoto, kecil tetapi kemas. Saya berhenti membersihkan bilik semasa wabak. Saya tinggal selama empat malam dan membeli beg sampah besar untuk mengisi sampah, jika tidak, akan ada bau yang pelik. Lokasinya sangat bagus, anda boleh berjalan kaki ke pantai, tidak ada wabak di Hafa, dan anda boleh menghabiskan percutian dengan tenang. The setting on the harbor, architecture and comfort in the room is a 10. The restaurant Drift also harbor side with a premier view of the promenade. Never a dull moment. I even got a selfie when the Prime Minister Trudeau paid a visit to the chocolatier next door. The Comfortable contemporary design and friendly staff are dedicated to your experience. The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The breakfast menu has it all. Perfectly prepared poached eggs and crispy bacon. So you are wondering, why I didn’t I give the hotel 5 stars? The front desk staff, completely useless. They must have a huge staff turnover. Weeks of inquiry by myself and travel agent got us nowhere on local activities and bookings.In particular spa treatments. The spa in the same building is a treat, but the front desk staff can barely tell you where it is. I had to find my own around the hotel. I don’t think the staff have ever left the first floor. There is an impressive work out room. Pool with a cold plunge, somewhere in the building a mysterious speakeasy When I inquired, it was closed and no explanation. FYI, the courtesy car is only available until 9:15. I called at 9:20 and service was done for the day. You would think they would they might mention that as well. Enjoy the MUIR, just remember it is DYI

Would rate the front desk staff a 8 out of 10 due to the lack of concern about one of the staff. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful and cleaned up when we only ask that our garbage been taken out. Room was very comfortable When the phone wasn't working one of the young front desk staff came up and took immediate charge and fixed the problem. We were looking forward to using the ”hot tub” but who ever is responsible for the hotel's web site should delete the hot tub picture s it hasn't been there, per front desk staff, at least 10 years. The fitness room only has 2 out of 4 of the stationary and Eliptical bike working. Gave up after mentioning it to the front desk staff on two occasions. Had a nice washroom with safety bars, but would suggest bringing a safety mat and there were no safety *****s in the tub. Surprisingly I found out the hotel did not have a liquor licemce so I had to go to another hotel for some ”brown pops' on New Year's eve.

Lovely stay at the Lord Nelson. The staff were courteous and professional and our spacious room was quiet and extremely comfortable. The hotel is ideally located and all of our activities were well within walking distance. Great restaurants, shopping, and museums and galleries were minutes away. We will make make the Lord Nelson our Halifax home!

We stayed here for three nights. We arrived very early as it was Canada Day! We parked our car and began walking the waterfront area. This hotel is very convenient if that’s what you want to do. The Maritime Museum is a very short walk from the front doors and go left along the boardwalk. It’s right to the Pier 21 Museum and that is a much longer walk. We returned to the hotel about one in the afternoon and there was a King room ready for us. The staff at the check in were pleasant and helpful. Our room was very neat and tidy; just as you would expect for just over $350/night, all in. We were on the 7th floor and it was an easy walk up to the terrace view n 8. Well worth going for a peek! There was a lot of fog when we were there but still quite a wonderful view. Our tv was not working and a young man from maintenance came quickly and had it working in a few minutes. He was pleasant and the hotel staff that we met in the hallways and elevator were very nice, too. Management obviously hires friendly and competent staff. Bravo! The room decor was fine but the sofa bed was not the most comfortable for sitting on. More pillows night help with that. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom was large and well designed with a half wall between the toilet and sink area which I think is more hygienic than in some hotels. We did not eat in the hotel. (We enjoyed eating at The Bicycle Thief Restaurant and it’s right out the main hotel doors and about a 5 minute walk along the boardwalk. Went for dinner one night and lunch the next day.) There is one tricky thing at the hotel and even though another reviewer pointed it out, we had trouble finding the door to the underground parking. Duh! So if you approach the hotel from Salter Street and park near the front door, when it’s time to park, go straight ahead and look for a garage door on the right. Do not go out of the hotel drive on to the road as we did……missed it. So, drive slowly and keep looking right. The doors are tucked in behind the front wall. I think the hotel should have a photo prepared for the desk clerks to show guests who are there for the first time. Once you know where it is, it’s easy to find. Parking, with tax, is just over $25/day. The streets in this area are hilly so being on the waterfront is an asset if you like flat walking. We did walk to the Citadel from the hotel and it is a hilly trek. We neglected to take our rain gear which would have made it better but it is walkable. We are glad we chose this hotel for our brief stay in Halifax.

Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was our first visit to Halifax. The Prince George is perfectly located, within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and the waterfront, as well as the Citadel. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is excellent- best buttermilk pancakes I’ve ever had. If you want a quieter room, I would suggest a room facing the back toward the Citadel. We would definitely return to this hotel - it’s a gem!
