LA MANDARINA HOTEL & TRAVEL

Small hotel in convenient location if you want to be close to the hustle and bustle of Hoan Kiem lake. Close walk to a lot of the attractions and with a lot of food options around. The room itself was average, slightly dusty and musty, curtains kind of dirty with bugs. For the price, I think there are newer hotels around. Basic amenities were provided like shampoo and soap.

Stayed in this hotel a few time. Very good service. They help me look after my vehicle the whole night. Real good service. Very friendly. Many shops around

The staff are nice and helpful. The location is really good too, just 5 minutes far from the lake.

Mainly for the location. Room is clean and quite spacious. Partial view of the lake as advertised. Just two short turns out the door and I'm on the road which surrounds the lake. The counter guy was very helpful (when checking in) and also helped arrange a 6am taxi to the airport for 270,000 dong which is a very reasonable price. Thanks young man. ( Mr Vin).

This is a boutique hotel, the building is rectangular high rise with only 2 rooms on each floor. One side faces the city, the other faces the lake except for lower floors. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It is located close to Hoàn Kiếm Lake, a short walk to the lake, you can sit at the coffee shop Katinat and enjoy view of the lake. It is convenient to walk around and explore the city, with many food places. Based on hotel staff recommendation Bun Cha is a must try, we went to this restaurant nearby, about 8 mins walk, we walked through a corridor where the food was being prepared, entered what looks like someone's living room with very low table and chairs. Almost crouching when you sit but the food was well worth it.

☹️ we found hair behind the pillow on our first day, and also stain on the bedsheet. Second night, water got cut for a few hours, my brother couldn’t use the rest room when needed, they said they’d fix. Once fixed, I went to use the rest room, only black sand or dirt idk came out both the sink and the shower, we tried to stay cool and let the water ran for awhile to clean the tube, still the water got the black thingy coming out, even the next morning. Hope they improve their cleanliness

We only stayed here for one night but found it was in an excellent location near the old town. For the value it was very clean, a comfortable bed and my child liked having many television channels to view during down times. The room was spacious and though on a busier street it was still peaceful enough to sleep. Though I'm use to this living in Asia, it's an open shower just next to the toilet without a partition therefore when you shower the toilet seat and floor gets wet. The hotel had shower slippers there but some may find this a little different, though it didn't me. I didn't eat at the hotel. Overall, If you are looking for a stopover place I would recommend this hotel specifically if you are fine not having a pool, buffet meals, kids play spaces, etc.
