Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff - someone was always at the deck when we walked by. The GM LJ Mendiola walked around when the guests were eating breakfast and asked how everything was & if you needed anything. She would also take away any plates you were done with. I have never been to a hotel where the GM walked around & asked how things were. Breakfast was great - oatmeal packets, mini muffins (banana nut, blueberry, poppyseed), scrambled eggs, sauteed peppers & onions, hash brown potatoes, sausage links, bagels, toast, juice, waffles with sprinkles, cherry, peach or apricot (like pie filling) to put on waffles. Dry cereal (raisin bran, fruit loops, cheerios). Coffee with flavored creamer, apples, mandarin oranges and oranges. On Friday when were there, they had a new coffee maker that you could choose light, medium and bold coffee. Very Nice!! I believe this is a newer hotel because everything was clean and it looks newer. We will definately stay here again if we are in the area. Nice place to stay if you are visiting Shenandoah National Park.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in mid March. Then hotel was located directly off of a busy road with nearby restaurants and shopping. It was directly next to a truck stop/gas station, which our room overlooked, yet we did not hear any noise during the night from either the road or the truck stop. While the setting was not ideal, the hotel was gorgeous. The dining area had three-story ceiling and lovely furniture--plus the food was great. The morning we were there, they were serving omelets, cinnamon buns, bagels, cereal, muffins, bananas, biscuits, and a few other things. The room was spacious and had very nice, clean bedding. Our room also had a fridge, microwave, desk with chair, and a lounge chair. The bathroom was very clean and spacious and everything was nicely lit and very modernly decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful--they suggested numerous restaurants for us. I was really very surprised at how attractive the hotel was and if I return to Harrisonburg, I wouldn't think twice about booking the Holiday Inn Express again (unless I were to bring my dogs--the one fault is that they do not allow pets).

Gracious staff; particularly attentive manager over this weekend-friendly and consistently checking in. Rooms clean and well appointed. We had no trouble with noise on 3rd floor albeit not on truck stop side. Small breakfast was okay-had some basics and seating area clean and bright with new tables etc. They could probably use a larger capacity coffee carafe for high volume times, but that is pretty minor. Gym with 4 machines-treadmill and bike and elliptical and weights etc. small but stocked.

Very nice recently updated hotel. Helpful staff. Full Breakfast. Convenient location.. The room was perfect for our needs. We would definately stay at this Best Western location again. Next trip to the Shenandoah Valley/Blue Ridge mountains...this will be our pick.

This hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and me and my family truly enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful. The beds are amazing and the breakfast was extremely nice. The guest laundry was in great condition. The fitness room was great as well

The accommodations seem to be recently renovated and are exceptional for a motel. The rooms are clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are much better than average motels. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It was a great value and overall experience!

Glad there is once again a Best Western in Harrisonburg. Being farther away from the traffic near downtown and the shopping areas near US33 is a plus. Means there is a back way to get to Massanutten. Good to have an elevator. Appreciated the larger frig. With a step stool available, it didn't matter that the microwave was up higher than usual.

The service is great. Well trained staff, friendly and accommodating. We stayed twice in August and both rooms were spotlessly clean. Wish the hotel was located a little closer to the center of town, but it is still only a 10 minute drive to the town center.

Room was really nice and big. It also smelled really good. It was really comfortable and the bed was great too. Only issue was the bed is high and I had to use a step stool which was provided. My daughter was a little nervous of it being so high. I felt comfortable and had no major issues. I thought the ac was a bit loud but once I was asleep I didn't hear it. Also our room faced a truck stop and you could see the trucks if you don't use the blackout curtains. Again this didn't bother me but my daughter felt it was a bit loud, I heard nothing. The only complaint I have and its really minor was that the tv is positioned in such a way that it can't swivel towards the couch or at least we couldn't get it to swivel. The breakfast was ok but not the greatest. I felt the bread was a bit stale. Breakfast can use some improvements. Add more fresh food and make sure what you have is good. The selection wasn't much as far as fresh fruit or add ons for the waffles. Over all I loved our room and felt safe and comfortable. If I am in the area I would return.
