Stayed here while visiting family from NC. Hotel located off main strip so close to restaurants and stores. Close to San Francisco without having to pay for SF prices. Felt safe while staying here. We had 2 rooms and both rooms were clean and well kept. The rooms were modern and up to date. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

This is our go-to place to stay in the East Bay. The staff is skilled and caring,. We are welcomed and our needs are met appropriately. It is ALWAYS clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The beds are comfortable and we have plenty of space in our room. We have been coming here for years (since it was new). We have never been disappointed. One time I had to stay 2 weeks by myself while my husband was in the hospital at UCSF. The staff was helpful and kind. We will continue to stay here when in the East Bay.

I loved the staff working here!! From the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast staff, this has been the best Best Western Plus Inn I have ever been in!! When I was out with my friends, housekeeping organized my shoes very nicely

Pretty good hotel for a night stay. Location is good and there are many places to eat around.

When we tried to check in the attendant in front said we had to pay a $100 dollar deposit that had to be in cash or else we could not check in. He even had a print out he quickly pulled out to point at the required cash deposit. Came back later that night with the cash in hand only to have a patron in front of us request to not have to leave the mandatory deposit the and was still allowed to secure his room. Also, we were given a key that did not work. I went back to the office several times to they could give us a working key. After about three tries the attendant came with me to verify the key was not working. He used the manager's key to open the door. He said he would return with a working key but never did.The room had exposed wiring at the light switch by the door, the smoke detector was hanging from the sealing by the wires. There were dead bugs on the bed. The bathroom was discussing, not cleaned prior to us using the room. There was also a funky smell in the room. We contacted the front office at one in the morning to let them know the room above us was making a lot of noise. They said they would get to it but the patrons of the room above us were still playing music, jumping around and making noise when we checked out at 11.The whole experience and the unreasonable deposit that only applies to some made it worst. We left this place itchy and unable to take showers due to the state of the shower tub. Do not waste your time or money on this place. If we had an option at such a late time we would have went somewhere else.

The room was terrible! Staff did not like me requesting a refund. Rooms are filthy dirty with dry urine on toilet seat. I was told no refund not even on my deposit they would do anything to keep cash. Never use cash... Use card always. After waiting for an hour outside with no resolution i knocked on there door. The owner and soon pop out with a shotgun pointed at me only to tell me they are not giving me back my cash. Calling my girlfriend a c**t and a bi**h! Eventually the cops show up and i am returned my deposit but i lost my $90 for room stay. Police also notified me a guy blew his head off in the parking lot the night prior.

Hotel was clean…the rooms were clean…the service was up to par…they even serve breakfast…definitely recommend for the price paid.
