For a Hostel it was very nice! Clean public showers and toilets that were cleaned multiple times a day. we booked a private soon for two and it was so worth it. if you want a more quiet stay, you have to request a room away from public areas as the reception and kitchen, even at midnight was very loud. helpful staff and great location! There’s a store in the Same building that’s open 24/7 and the tram and buses are 5 min walk away!

I'd like to give this establishment 5 out of 5. The staff is really great and she even let me check in almost four hours before the ordinary check in. They also let me stay at the hostel after checking out. The hostel is very clean and the location is excellent just ten to fifteen minutes from the train station and only three minutes from the Swedish theatre. Towels are provided and the reception is open 24/7. All rooms have free WIFI and a sink. The beds are already made on arrival and there is free coffee and tea in the kitchen which has fridge, freezer, stove and microwave oven. The only downsides I can thin of is that there is no lift for disabled people and no breakfast if you're into that. If you have lots of luggage that's your problem... There's a one minute walk to the closest supermarket. I can really recommend this place!

We stayed for 4 nights on our trip to Helsinki and we could not have had a better experience. The hostel is cosy, quaint and right next to the ferry stop that takes you to the mainland. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We usually avoid breakfast buffets as we find them a bit hectic but the Hostel Suomenlinna breakfast was quiet and not stressful at all. There are cute graphics everywhere that have clear and specific instructions for hostel policies, which was helpful as both me and my partner have autism. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and priced very reasonably. Recommended!

The location of the hostel is perfect—close to public transportation and the main tourist attractions in Helsinki. It was clean and calm. The bed has a curtain, a mirror, plugs, a lamp, and shelves. The hostel emails all the codes for the building and the hostel for easy check-in. There was no one at the reception when I arrived, but a welcome card was left with my room key. It was unacceptable that a low bed was not reserved for me. It was a nightmare to go to the upper bed.

Very affordable, clean, safe and quiet sp**** rooms in a convenient location. Bare minimum rooms are fine. Most of the travellers are university age so showers and breakfast before 8:30 am works well if you can wake before them. Sauna as well. The rooms are thoughtfully sealed and really soundproofed well and I heard nothing outside my room. Staff is helpful and courteous. Well run in general. Breakfast is fair, but so cheap, I cannot complain. If you book ahead of time through a third party you will be offered a discount if you avoid paying for breakfast in advance for breakfast. IKEA meatballs and scrambled eggs with peas and watered down coffee - but at this price no complaints. Lots of green initiatives too. I respect this place’s owners. Much less waste than an expensive hotel.

Most lovely and cozy hotel in Helsinki by my opinion! Rooms are clean and fresh, best view from window compared to price! They have a kitchen where you can find anything you need to make food, also tea, coffee and even cookies. Everything is themed in old Finland house way, feels like a home also personal is super sweet and helpful.And I can’t forget about the view from balcony 🤤 highly recommended 10/10💌
