Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa - Premium All Inclusive with Free Transfers

Worker needs to be more friendly.Food was excellent Mr Husain was very helpful in Restaurant .Food at Mexican restaurant was very good.

Direct flight from Heathrow to Male and met by a Taj representative on arrival and escorted to the speedboat for the 40 minute transfer to the resort. Once docked we were met by the hotel staff and presented with a cold drink before being giving a short tour of the island and then shown to our room. We had chosen a beach villa (224) for our stay and it came with a large bedroom, large bathroom including a second shower in an outside annex and large deck leading to the ocean. Just beyond the decking there were two sun loungers and a hammock, perfect for watching the sunset from, with a cold glass of something. The room came with a stocked minibar (refreshed once a day), fully air conditioned and was serviced twice a day by the excellent housekeeping team. The island is small (5mins to walk from one side to the other) but has everything you need. Nicely equipped gym with cardio machines and free weights, Dive centre covering everything from PADI dive to snorkelling for beginners, Spa centre with a range of treatments and the activity centre for kayak, windsurfing, jet ski etc. Whilst some things are included within your package anything extra costs and the price does add up if you do a lot. There is also a full list of excursions including Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Turtles, Island hopping etc. And lastly you come to the pool. The pool area overlooks the ocean across an infinity pool and has a number of sun-beds and parasols with plenty of towels provided. There is also a jacuzzi style pool with both being at 30c. The pools are not life guarded. To the side of the pool there is an access to the sea and inner lagoon reef. This is an area that is protected from the main ocean, very little current and suitable for all ages to snorkel or swim in. There are a number of small coral reefs with the lagoon with many fish from small “nemo” size up to a tuna and manta ray. The lagoon is a great area to safely snorkel but if you wanted to venture further you can. There are exits from the lagoon into the main ocean and it leads to one of the best coral reefs we have seen. The island is surrounded by a reef and just leaving the lagoon you are met with a landscape of colourful reef and thousands of fish and numerous shoals of fish all within touching distance. The resort has each guest sign a disclaimer that they will wear a life jacket when snorkelling but this is not enforced and we swam (like many others) without one with no difficulties. Be aware that the currents can be strong and the sea conditions did change quite quickly at times (waves increased etc) but if you are a confident swimmer you are not in danger. Be prepared to see some large fish, a tuna close up takes your breath away and then there are the sharks. White and Black tip reef sharks were common and although technically “A Shark” they are not interested in humans and carry on with their day. Had the pleasure of staying at this property in an overwater villa with a group of 8 family members. The restaurant staff specially Sajini, Madu & Imali were amazing. They really took good care of all of the family members including a 5 year old kid. I like your ala carte all inclusive concept where everyone can have their own food out of the menu, no food wastage this way and everyone is happy to eat to their likings. All the drinks we had at the reef bar were great. Pretty good corals around the property, all 4 days we thoroughly enjoyed snorkelling. Cleanliness & upkeep of property was spot on. Overall great vacation - Amazing property, great food, mesmerizing snorkelling experience, very attentive service, lovely staff.

We enjoyed our stay at taj coral reef maldives. We visited this place with family(me, my husband and my child). Resort team was extremely friendly and helpful to accommodate requests for my kid. The property is nice and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. And i have to mention team members of the resort who went beyond their work and provided us the best experience during our stay. Imali, Sajanie, Bheem singh rana, Saju and Nubla. Thank you for the best time and memories for lifetime.

This was the best destination for my honeymoon,we loved every minute of our stay. It was worth all the money ! The check-in and check-out was flexible and the complimentary speedboat transfer let us experience the ocean more closely.Upon Arrival, We were received with a warm welcome and smiling faces and we were served with a refreshing cooler.Over the whole stay every hotel staff member was always helpful, extremly friendly and was keen on making sure we had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is the only one on a small island surrounded by a beautiful reef. You can snorkel or dive right in front of the hotel, the corals are beautiful, bursting with life and you can see lots of reef sharks and sometimes dolphins. We opted for the all-inclusive option and were taken aback by the huge variety of cuisines. All the 3 restaurants were impeccable and served some of the best foods ive ever eaten.We also tried local maldivian cusine recommended by the cheerful staff. We spent 2 days in the deluxe beach villa and 2 days in Premium water villa and had the best time of our lives. I wish we could stay here forever snorkeling daily exploring each and every bit of the reef. Special thanks to Imali, Sajnee , Salim and Suma who treated us like family throughout our stay. Shoutout to Salim who crafted a special coconut drink which was just exceptional. I can highly recommend staying in this hotel and hopefully this won't be our last time being there!

Cannot recommend this resort enough if you want a relaxing holiday - it is a very small island but very beautiful Plenty of water sports available and a lovely gym and spa The staff are all amazing - special thanks to Ibrahim and Imali and the friendly bar staff The food is the hi-light of the holiday - we were all inclusive, all meals are a la carte and the drinks are of a high quality We were last here in January and we were amazed at how much work had been done over the year to improve the resort

The best trip I ever had Amazing experience Every bit of it was good and hassle free I did not face any issue anywhere The property is breathtaking 3 days were the best days of my life , beach villa is amazing some people focus only on water villa but I feel both the villas are worth it and has its own beauty

Overall, we had a lovely escape to the Maldives. The welcome and transfer were good. We’re not entirely sure we received the full arrival experience when compared to other guests. The resort itself was ideal for our needs with everything close by. The staff were friendly and accommodating in all areas. Some large groups of guests spoiled the ambience at times. They became extremely loud and imposing in the bar and dining areas. The ambience was good when they left. I guess the resort needs to choose if it’s targeting party groups or couples and families. The bar and restaurants also appeared to be under staffed at times, especially during busy periods. Aside from these points we had an amazing time at the resort. We particularly loved our little beach area with access straight into the sea.

Best Resort in Maldives - be it location, for activities, value for money, hospitality, facilities, and so on. The resort location is perfect - on the Coral Reef itself - so if any one wants to do snorekeling or scuba diving - need to see no further - just few steps into the ocean from your Water villa - you can see REEF better than Great Barrier Reef - trust me.
