Studios Adonis

On our arrival late at night Ben showed us to our room.We had a ground floor room in one of the older blocks, even though it was very basic it was large,cool,shady and spotlessly clean. We heard laughter coming from the bar area so went over longing for a cool Mythos before we went to bed after a very long day travelling. Ben said "Mythos tomorrow" and poured a large and small draught beer instead, I asked if we could buy some Lays(crisps) and was told no but he then threw a bag of another make onto the bar. He asked for our passports and the room tax, I don't think he spoke to me again until the day we were going home when he asked as I passed if we'd like to keep on the room for 20€. So no, unfortunately we didn't get the lovely greek welcome we were expecting, the great BBQ food we'd read about or anything else really.......the same 8 or so people were constantly laughing around the bar and I'm glad they had a nice time but sadly not for us. Places I CAN recommend for a traditional Greek welcome and amazing homecooked food are GEVSI , lovely lady serving who had time to talk and made us very welcome and MYTHOS, brilliant homely taverna with lovely staff.

This is our 2nd trip to Adonis and we loved both times! Booked again for next year 😀 Very relaxed, clean and tidy and just a very friendly place. Ben is great, super helpful and loves a good atmosphere around the bar area. Raki all round! Yamas 🍻 see you in june

Travelled here with 2 of my close friends and the only positive about this place was the company I was with and the location. I'm surprised by the amount of positive feedback the place gets in all honesty, especially the barman who was extremely rude and off with us from the beginning. Our room was small,and the third bed was fit for a child,not a third adult. Amenities were basic and the crockery was a mix of other holiday makers belongings that they had clearly bought during their time there? We asked the barman for three wine glasses for the room and we were told a blunt no, even though we saw others drinking wine on their balconies with glasses from the bar. It became apparent very quickly that if you like a holiday where you sit at the bar drinking and spending your money all day,he will give you the time of day. On a positive, the nearby village was beautiful and the staff in local restaurants and bars were friendly, respectful and welcoming, something we did not receive at Adonis. For that reason we spent the majority of our time there. (Shout out to our favourite bar and staff at Rahati) Beaches and Old Hersonissos were in walking distance and worth a visit. Lots of choice in regard to restaurants and bars in the village and the bakery is a must. Will definitely be returning next year. In fact I have booked today for 10 days in June/July 25 but at a different hotel.

We had the best time. Ben the barman pool an everything else never stops from morning till night. Had a fantastic barbecue which Ben cooked and well worth the morning.. my husband was eating left over for his lunch the next day.. Nikos the owner is very charming and very welcoming. Accommodation basic but had worse but very clean and rooms serviced everyday.. we eat out in the evening so the cooking wasn’t a problem for us. We spent 12 nights there weather really hot and the pool area always had available sun beds without running to the pool at 6am to bag one.. highly recommend. Make sure you go the bar and have a banter with the other guests to make the experience more pleasurable.

We have just returned from our first trip to the Adonis studios and had a brilliant time. Rooms are basic but have all you need and are extremely clean, we were lucky enough to have one overlooking the pool which had a great, spacious balcony. The Pool and bar area are great, the place is run by a small team who all do a brilliant job. Ben is always around to help with whatever you need and to accept a drink from you, Nikos comes everyday and is a fantastic guy, always happy to chat and ask if everything is ok. The studios are around a 10 minute walk to the village which is so Greek and absolutely beautiful, especially at night when all lit up, there are dozens of amazing places to eat. We will definitely return to the Adonis, thank you Ben, Nikos and your staff for making us feel so welcome.. see you again soon.

This place does what it says on the tin. Basic, no frills, traditional Greek accommodation. The rooms were large and very clean with all you could need to use this place as a base. The whole small complex was actually immaculate. Ben the barman was very helpful and would answer any question you asked him. He was not intrusive and allowed guests to enjoy their stay, their way. We enjoyed meeting some of the other lovely guests and apart from the beds being a little on the hard side, I have no negative comments to make. In the middle of August we had no issues getting a sunbed if we wanted one which was a bonus, there was plentiful space to park a hire car and the walk to the beautiful villages was mear minutes away and very pleasant. If you're going and you've read negatives about the click...it really doesn't exist. All are welcome.
