Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

Friendly staff and well appointed clean modern apartment with great views. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was spotless and well maintained. Kudos to the housekeeping and maintenance staff. The development also has a Starbucks and grocery store in the Oxygen Mall right next to the Hotel. There are also a couple of other malls within a 5 min taxi ride. Very convenient. We travelled from the airport to hotel via Grab app private hire car and it cost less than VND200k. Inexpensive and convenient. Travel to attractions in the city was fuss free with a daily free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Driver was helpful and friendly. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, including the security at the front door. Special thanks to front desk staff Dennis and housekeeping staff Ngoc and Yloang. Thank you for making my family’s stay comfortable. Highly recommended this hotel.

We chose the Somerset Chancellor due to it’s location and the ability to comfortably fit our family of five. The apartments are relatively basic but clean and comfortable with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment, we did need help with plane tickets and the team on the desk were great, helping us work through. The convenience store attached to the hotel was very handy!

Rock hard beds! Literally the hardest bed have ever experienced. Kids facilities were ok. No air conditioning in play room, so very hot. Kids waterslide is fun, but strangely completely seperate from main pool, on a different tier, so not able to swim in main pool while watching kids enjoy waterslide. Location is fair way out from centre of HCMC but two supermarkets within 2 min walk, and a 24hr convenience store across road. Starbucks next to lobby, but doesn’t open until 7am. Little ***** of restaurants directly across road. All in all we liked this place. Would have been nice to provide seperate pool towels, as we used ours and were left with none to shower with. Note that this is a building with many permanent residents, so you feel that you are living with HCM locals, kids going off to school in elevators every morning. Last gripe, stench of toilet in elevator area on ground floor is horrific
