Hotel berhampiran Heading South Sculpture, Hobart

Stayed 2 nights at Ibis Styles Hobart. The hotel is strategically located in the city centre, near to Salamanca Place and the shopping streets in town. The hotel boasts a nice lap pool, a gym and some coin operated laundrette. Love the Chinese Restaurant at the lobby area, served some of the flavourful Chinese dishes cooked to perfection. The room is compact but nicely decorated. The water pressure at the shower stall certainly will give you the invigorating boost. Parking facilities are available but chargeable at AUD 23 for the overnight parking, slightly cheaper if you opt for the overflow carpark behind the hotel. Breakfast is served at the Chinese Restaurant but not a single Chinese dishes for breakfast, what an irony! In my opinion, should have at least Fried Rice or Noodles as one of the dishes since there are lots of Asians staying at this property. If they do, I will certainly give them another STAR. Generally, it is a great and comfortable stay!

Little bit dated. Booked through Qantas Hotels and somehow was upgraded. ( No requested room available? do not know.) Water shower deluge head is great. Plenty of towels washers etc. The body wash and shampoo bottles are squeeze to actuate, sounds simple doesn't it? Mattress very comfy. Pillow a little firm for me but I did have the choice of 5! You get a kettle and that's it. Fridge opens one way, cupboard door opens opposite way. Not user friendly. Mis mash of cups. No knife or fork. Had to book for a couple of nights the next week but was an extra 50 an night. Thought that was a bit unnecessary for a returning client booking the same room. We had two windy nights and the sliding door widows rattling was enough to keep you awake. Need to be wedged. Location to town. Excellent, walking distance.

Comfortable bed, neat and clean environment, delicious meal in the ground floor restaurant. Good service, nice staff. Will book again when I visit Tasmania next time. Highly recommend to my friend s. Competitive prices to book at Trip.com. Quiet streets where St. Ives Apartment located Only 15 mins walk to go to the CBD. Many local tour options in Hobart. I had joined a one-day which offered pickup service at this hotel. Very convenient, I enjoyed my trip here.

Quest Trinity is in a great, convenient location close to the CBD although noise from helicopters attending the Royal Hobart hospital can, at times, be a little intrusive. Beds were comfortable and apartment was well equipped and had everything needed to make your holiday feel like home.

The Bay Apartments are a good value but simple place to stay in Hobart. We stayed here for 1 night this week, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean but small. It had an overpowering smell of cleaning products when we arrived but this dispersed during our stay. The bathroom is a traditional shower-over-bath, and there is a small living area and flat screen TV. There is a small cooktop and sink, and a bar fridge. The apartments are a short walk to a large range of restaurants, a Woolworths and a Cole. There is also a pub (almost) next door. It is a short drive to Hobart CBD and there are public buses out the front. We were apprehensive at first as it was quite noisy (noise from other guests and from the road), but this didn’t affect our sleep quality. There is parking outside the unit and one reverse cycle aircon unit in the living area. Don’t expect a fancy property- this is a basic but well presented unit at an affordable price point, not a $300/nt property. If you set your expectations correctly this is a very good property. The stairways to the upstairs appartments are very narrow and it is difficult to carry large cases up and down. I’d stay here again if looking for a basic stay in Hobart, but probably not for multiple nights.

Great base for our 2 night Hobart stay. A little out of the city centre and up quite a steep hill, I'm not sure it's location would suit those without a car, but if you have one it's an ideal spot. The whole property looked well maintained including the pool and games room (although we didn't have time to use either). Our 3 bedroom villa (no. 12) had a fantastic view out over the city and river and easy parking in front. It was very spacious, clean, modern and comfortable with two bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a compact but perfectly adequate kitchen. I would have given five stars but we were there during a heat wave and although the air conditioning worked really well downstairs, there is none upstairs and it was very hot by the end of the day making it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately there are no flyscreens on the windows either, so we didn't feel comfortable opening them. Aside from this though a great spot for spacious self contained accommodation.

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. We stayed here for three nights while exploring the area around Hobart. Our room had two single beds, a small table with two chairs and a couch. I liked the large window, making the room bright. Towards the door there is a small kitchenette: Extra sink (!), microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. There was also cuttlery and plates to prepare our microwave dinners. Perfect for our purpose. The bathroom was small but well done, plenty of room to keep the toileteries. Also there is a line to span to hang some clothes - great idea! Everything was clean and seemed to be new. There was always parking for us and we slept well. We enjoyed our stay and it was a great place to crash out for the night after a day full of sightseeing.

We stayed for Cadbury marathon, which starts Cadbury Factory in Claremont. The location is not only good for the event but also not far from Hobart town centre, which is 10 minutes by car. The carpark space is shared with BWS. There are two complimentary water bottles in the fridge. We really appreciated their kindness to let us have late checkout about 12pm. My husband could take a shower after his 42km run!

We checked in on a Sunday around 4pm. Unbeknown to us the staff were well gone. There is a self-check in service and a phone with no one at the other end of it. Apparently, they had no details of mine, which was hard to believe. Not sure how I managed to make a booking without any details. Anyway, I was sitting on the chair in front of reception wondering how was going to get into my room or would I need to sleep in my car. We were fortunate that one of the other guests came past and they couldn't get in either. They gave us a number to call, which was the sister company. Thankfully this person was able to get us checked in. Did the manager come and welcome us the next day? Not at all. We stayed for four days. Such bad service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
