Basic room but very clean and well appointed. Very close proximity to all amenities of the cbd, uber eats was able to find us quickly and without hassle, also the establishment is very quiet of a night. The bed was comfortable and there was free Wi-Fi, for $85 a night, so close to everything and presented in this manner, I would happily recommend to anyone I know and will be staying again when we are down again. The only recommendation I have for the owners/managers is the shower cubicle itself is very small and I'm a tall guy and big build too, so moving around to shower was a bit hard but otherwise that's it. Thank you for a great stay, my partner and I will see you again on our next stay. 👍

This hotel met all our needs for the 3 night trip to Hobart. I would stay here again. It's centrally located to many things in town. The staff we met were all extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. Bathroom is small, but its not like its a place where we spent a lot of time so it gets the job done. My two suggestions would be to add a shelf in the bathroom where one could place their stuff and add an overhead light so you could turn on the light when you came in the room. If you're a modest traveler who doesn't need a lot of frills or ton of space but looking for a clean and cozy place to spend the night, you'll like it just fine!

Stayed 2 nights at Ibis Styles Hobart. The hotel is strategically located in the city centre, near to Salamanca Place and the shopping streets in town. The hotel boasts a nice lap pool, a gym and some coin operated laundrette. Love the Chinese Restaurant at the lobby area, served some of the flavourful Chinese dishes cooked to perfection. The room is compact but nicely decorated. The water pressure at the shower stall certainly will give you the invigorating boost. Parking facilities are available but chargeable at AUD 23 for the overnight parking, slightly cheaper if you opt for the overflow carpark behind the hotel. Breakfast is served at the Chinese Restaurant but not a single Chinese dishes for breakfast, what an irony! In my opinion, should have at least Fried Rice or Noodles as one of the dishes since there are lots of Asians staying at this property. If they do, I will certainly give them another STAR. Generally, it is a great and comfortable stay!

Comfortable bed, neat and clean environment, delicious meal in the ground floor restaurant. Good service, nice staff. Will book again when I visit Tasmania next time. Highly recommend to my friend s. Competitive prices to book at Trip.com. Quiet streets where St. Ives Apartment located Only 15 mins walk to go to the CBD. Many local tour options in Hobart. I had joined a one-day which offered pickup service at this hotel. Very convenient, I enjoyed my trip here.

Great base for our 2 night Hobart stay. A little out of the city centre and up quite a steep hill, I'm not sure it's location would suit those without a car, but if you have one it's an ideal spot. The whole property looked well maintained including the pool and games room (although we didn't have time to use either). Our 3 bedroom villa (no. 12) had a fantastic view out over the city and river and easy parking in front. It was very spacious, clean, modern and comfortable with two bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a compact but perfectly adequate kitchen. I would have given five stars but we were there during a heat wave and although the air conditioning worked really well downstairs, there is none upstairs and it was very hot by the end of the day making it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately there are no flyscreens on the windows either, so we didn't feel comfortable opening them. Aside from this though a great spot for spacious self contained accommodation.

The Bay Apartments are a good value but simple place to stay in Hobart. We stayed here for 1 night this week, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean but small. It had an overpowering smell of cleaning products when we arrived but this dispersed during our stay. The bathroom is a traditional shower-over-bath, and there is a small living area and flat screen TV. There is a small cooktop and sink, and a bar fridge. The apartments are a short walk to a large range of restaurants, a Woolworths and a Cole. There is also a pub (almost) next door. It is a short drive to Hobart CBD and there are public buses out the front. We were apprehensive at first as it was quite noisy (noise from other guests and from the road), but this didn’t affect our sleep quality. There is parking outside the unit and one reverse cycle aircon unit in the living area. Don’t expect a fancy property- this is a basic but well presented unit at an affordable price point, not a $300/nt property. If you set your expectations correctly this is a very good property. The stairways to the upstairs appartments are very narrow and it is difficult to carry large cases up and down. I’d stay here again if looking for a basic stay in Hobart, but probably not for multiple nights.

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. We stayed for Cadbury marathon, which starts Cadbury Factory in Claremont. The location is not only good for the event but also not far from Hobart town centre, which is 10 minutes by car. The carpark space is shared with BWS. There are two complimentary water bottles in the fridge. We really appreciated their kindness to let us have late checkout about 12pm. My husband could take a shower after his 42km run!

Great location in bush setting. All informatiin sent in email before stay was helpful, so access was easy. Self contained cabin,with all you need, included. Great for short, or longer stays. Not far from city centre

In a good spot for buses to and from Hobart. Had plenty of parking for those with cars. TV left a lot to be desired, ie had sound but rarely picture. Heating worked well. Shower was good. Easy to hear those outside but as they tend to be trades persons they go to bed early, during the week. Bed was comfortable; small bar fridge but adequate for my needs; microwave and water jug worked well. Five minute walk from Coles and about 10 minutes to Woolworths. Have stayed there a few times and I keep coming back, especially with Trip.com prices.
