Ubicación muy buena, muy cerca de la playa. Personal muy amable. Desayuno adaptado a vegano. Único problema. La mosquitera no cubría toda la cama y Holbox está plagado de mosquitos.

Our stay was magical! Excellent staff, delicious food, clean room and rustic costal style architecture. Bed was super comfy. Adam and his staff went out of their way to provide a really memorable experience. Walkable to city center. Definitely recommend.

I lucked out when I chose Xaloc , one of several beach front hotels on the gorgeous island of Holbox, Mexico. I was traveling alone and only had 5 nights (4 days given a full day on either end to get there and return home ) to unwind, explore and get a feel for this remote island off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula . Even before I left , I knew from my email correspondence with Eva, the Manager, that I would be safe and comfortable under her accommodating kind watch. Little did I know, till I got there, that I had also picked the perfect location. I was close enough to the busier, commercial town square to walk there on the sand path at the edge of the property in as little as 10 minutes but also far enough away to have the quietest beachfront practically to myself, sandwiched gently in between two of the livelier stretches of white sand. Eva and Adam at the front desk and Andreas in the dining room were all so nice and helpful and my very own little pallapa cabin facing the sea and complete with a kingsize bed of cotton, crisp sheets and white gauzy mosquito net, AC , large bathroom area and shower and porch with a couch and hammock was heavenly . It didnt take me more than a half day to recover from my long trip and get into the Holbox spirit. Barefoot all day, in and out of the turquoise clear sea , fresh ceviche for lunch , ripe, sweet mango on a stick at the beach, whole fried fish for dinner, guacamole while watching the glorious sunset , a day trip to paradise island and the point with a closing dip in a mineral rich deep blue cenote ... heavenly for sure and an accommodation I hope to return to annually . We just loved our stay here. Adam was the absolute MAN and I appreciated him so much. If you want a clean room and friendly staff, with private pools and a wonderful beach front/beach view longing area this is it. If you are expecting good wifi and a mini fridge, find another place to go. We so enjoyed disconnecting from the outside world & we walked almost everywhere! Make sure to check out NANA right down the beach for drinks and good vibes

Rented a seaview cabana because that was all that was left. My brother got a pool side cabana near the adult only pool, about 30 feet from us, and he paid $50 less per night. The seaview was not worth the extra money. The cabanas were big and clean the king size bed very comfy. There is AC in them and that was pretty clutch as the units do not have a enough openings to cool down with a natural breeze at night. Staff was great and food was surprisingly very good. The Ceviche was outstanding - the best I have ever had. The breakfast that is included was great and substantial. Wifi was weak and only usable if you sat next to front desk. But you are on vacation, so..... I would highly recommend you rent bikes when you get there, but you will get a better deal if you rent directly from bike shops, hotels mark up costs. It was in the high 90s every day, which made walking around a chore. The bikes made travel so much easier while generating your own breeze. Really enjoyed the island, had a great vibe.

Amazing hotel and remarkable staff specially the restaurants staff. Always service minded and nice. The reception staff are amazing too, very helpful and always available. The rooms cleaned up daily and with a good quality. The most beautiful beach right in front of the hotel. I highly recommend Xaloc of Holbox.

We booked this hotel because they advertised a pool bar and a restaurant. So not totally false: there is a pool bar, but not in service. There is a restaurant, but only open until 11 am for the included breakfast. If you choose a bungalow with a pool view you will be at the family pool. If you want to be at the adult only pool, you need to book an ocean view bungalow. The included breakfast was terrific, a different fresh juice every day, great selection of a la carte meals, not the continental that was advertised. The staff at this hotel are amazing. They are super friendly and very accommodating! The beach here is fabulous. There was definitely a shortage of loungers though. The rooms are great, mosquito netting around the beds, double vanities, toilet separate from the shower, which has like instant hot water! My only room suggestion would be to have a table large and high enough to accommodate the coffee maker and be a drop zone for keys, towels, water bottles, sunscreen, etc etc.

We stayed 8 nights here and loved it! We had a superior room and not a bungalow, but it was a great choice as really spacious and calm. Adam at reception made us feel welcome straight away and throughout our stay. The hotel is opposite one of the most beautiful stretch of beach on the island and close to all bars and restaurants on foot. There are beach beds in the garden and on the beach opposite. Only downside was no shade on the beach for the beach beds,. The pool was refreshing, breakfast was tasty and good choices on the menu. Wifi only works in reception but who cares! No one goes to holbox to stay glued to their phone.

Great hotel! Impeccable room and the service and hospitality were amazing. Same with breakfast. Delicious! For the price, I would definitely stay here again! Do not miss the opportunity of staying here if there is availability. A paradise!

Calico Resort has been a very pleasant experience. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. We were right off the beach and it was a 25 meter walk to the water. We even had beachside food and drink service. What more can you ask for? The lighting of the property at night was gorgeous. The fact that there are separate pools for just adults and then a family pool is also great. If you want a quiet vacation on the beach, this is THE place. You will not be disappointed.

After much research I decided on Xaloc. Sooo glad I did. Attention to detail galore. Special thanks to Eva, Adan, Brenda that made my stay special and Lau in the restaurant . Full breakfast included. Individual bungalows are such a plus, no neighbors !! Quiet rooms w A/C, a big fan, mosquito netting, coffee maker and toiletries. Two pools and beachfront !! Right on Playa Holbox and very close to the shopping and restaurants, walkable.

When I checked in, the front desk guy asked me why I was traveling alone and not with friends. It was a little inconsiderate because I’ve traveled alone after a divorce, after deaths, after health issues as a way to escape. There is no drink or food service at the pool nor beach. No umbrellas at the beach either. I’ve had skin cancer before so umbrellas are a must. No WiFi unless you’re standing directly by the front desk. The DJ was playing right next to my room with no one around. Why play music with no food or drinks? Not one person was around to listen, and I had to ask 3 times to get him to stop so I could even hear my own thoughts. The front desk guy asked him to stop once, and he did for less than 5 minutes and started again. Carlos is beyond rude. I can’t even believe he has a job because of how incredibly rude he was. I have traveled to 40 countries and many of them more than once, especially Mexico, and I have never, ever had a hotel worker be so rude or condescending. I’ve never even been so disappointed in a hotel because as a world traveler, you have to go with the flow. I’m not picky about hotels at all, but this place is absolutely terrible. Aside from the insanely loud music and no service, the staff makes it completely uncomfortable and like you’re a burden.

Superbe résidence hôtelière , petit bungalow tout mignon. Lits très petit 1m20 ,inconvenant c est que la climatisation souffle sur les lits ,courbatures assurée. Petits déjeuner soigné,fruits,jus de fruits frais et un choix en plus . Tout le monde est très souriant et sympathique. Extrêmement bien placé,très propre . Mais pas de wifi sauf à la réception. Je recommande pour le calme . Hamacs , transats sur la plage de cette île paradisiaque.

El hotel tiene todo para no querer salir de aquí!!! Buen acceso a la playa, alberca para adultos separada del área de niños, delicioso desayuno y una atención excelente!! Las habitaciones súper limpias y el personal siempre atento a lo que necesitáramos.
