This, by far, is the best B&B to stay in Fort William. The hospitality is 5☆. The accommodation is very comfortable with extra touches. The shower en-suite with good water pressure and luxury soaps. Mark's breakfasts are outstanding, possibly the best breakfast ”ever,” whilst being on my travels. I cannot praise this accommodation enough. Make this your first choice when travelling through or enjoying Fort William for a few days. See you again next season....

Great location, very clean and quiet. Also, comfortable beds and good sized bathrooms. We stayed two nights. Quaint downtown Fort William is a 5 minute walk. If you are lucky enough to get tickets for the Jacobite Train then definitely stay here as the train station is also nearby (but you don't hear the train noise in the rooms). No breakfast or food served on premises but it isn't needed as there are so many restaurants close by. Also, free parking. I left my wedding ring in the room and they mailed it back to me in the U.S. and did not charge me--very nice and honest staff!

Inverlochy Castle was very disappointing and not worth the effort it takes to get there. The castle and guest rooms are dated and are in need of complete updating. After being shown our room which was in desperate need of a renovation, we asked to move to a different room - something to which I gather that they're unaccustomed. The new room, while an improvement, was in a different building so we had to trudge through the rain and mist for every meal. And the pathway was dark and not particularly well lit. When we inquired about the activities we realized that they were very limited, particularly in the fall months. And since we were without a car we felt stranded. Other than a walk through the grounds (which are quite beautiful) there isn't even a fitness center or small room to work out. So, if it's raining, which it often is, there's not too much to do. The staff, while pleasant and polite, was very young and inexperienced. They need to import senior, experienced and well-trained staff from other comparatively priced properties. Both sinks in the bathroom were clogged and the clock was not functioning. We did report this and one sink was unclogged by the staff, but the other repairs were not made during our 2 night stay. How is it that housekeeping can clean a room several times a week, if not daily, and not notice such things? Dinner in the main dining room is pre fixe and while the food was good, not outstanding as it should have been for the price ($188 excluding beverages) and the fuss they made over it, there is only one main course so if you don't eat say, venison, or they're serving some other food you may dislike, you'll be out of luck. The food at the alternative restaurant - The Factors Pub, was average at best though the French fries were excellent. Overall, this was a very disappointing and expensive stay and I would not recommend it unless they make some significant improvements.

PPengguna TetamuWe were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going. I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

YYiu Wai RaymondThe location is remote but the environment of this location is quiet. Therefore, it is still valuable to live at the place. We have taken the dinner at the centre. All the foods were delicious and excellent and the price was quite reasonable. I will select this accommodation if we go to highland again.
