We book and paid online. But when we arrived at their place, our room was already occupied even when we paid it already. They did not refund our payment! Worst service ever!

This review is for the KATHMANDU Hostel and not for the cosmos Hotel because they gave me a another room in the Kathmandu Hostel. It seems these hotels are somehow connected with each other. The Kathmandu Hostel was the best hostel of all hostels in the Chungking Mansions so far. I stayed in a few different ones recently so I can compare at least a little bit. The service was really good and helpful. I even met the owner while waiting for the lift. A really friendly and humble man. The room is big compare to other hostels. They provide towels, toothbrush, soap, toilet paper and there is a hot water supply on the aisle with free coffee. Furthermore, there is a own little fridge in room. But no hairdryer. Location is superb - Chungking Mansions. Price is cheap but way more expensive on weekends. I definitely recommend this hotel

Im a bit upset with the room..this is my 2nd time to booked here..the first time was all good and clean so I expect that it will be thesame..but sad to say my expectations were not that good...The toilet have lots of stains and I got a lot of bed bugs bite..and the smell of the pillow and blankets were bad😔. I just forgot to take photos.

The hostel is located 5mins away from the avenue of stars for a great & nice view. It is also along the Main Street for lots of food and close to the TST east station. Basic amenities like toilet paper, water heater, shared water dispenser, shared fridge are all provided.

Very bad stay, I don’t recommend this homestay. Dirty and no space.

The manager was helpful, polite and carried my bags for me to the room. The room was small but good value for the location. It was quiet - just a humming from the air con outside. There was a hole in the window which let mosquitoes in. I would stay here again

So, this is the base price type of place. For some reason, the information on Trip is wrong in regards to how to access the check in desk- this was the absolutely worst part of things. I had to actually call the manager, who told me to go to a different floor. Being exhausted from traveling all day, waiting for that wasn't fun. But everything else was OK, one doesn't expect amazing things for the price (though it does sometimes happen). The sheet was a bit stained (clean but obviously something didn't come out in the wash). It looks as if someone tried to minimally decorate- good for them. Oh, the second worse thing was that it was a Friday night, and some other guest came in loudly talking at 4 am, which is not the hotel's fault. Maybe earplugs are recommended if you sleep on the lighter side. The room is located in an ethnic mecca, with all sorts of mostly male internationals hanging out and many Indian eateries. For female travelers, unless you're an intrepid female traveler or in a couple, you might feel a little uncomfortable. I felt OK, but I was being careful with my belongings and my timing for going in and out of the building.
