Regal Riverside Hotel

The basic room in this hotel is horrible. Don't be fooled by the lower prices compared to other Hotels in Hong Kong, the basic room is barely a step up from a hostel experience. Cons - The bed is as hard as rock. - The pillow is extremely low and uncomfortable. - The bed sheets smell like smoke and pollution. - The AC system must be extremely dusty, because I had allergic rhinitis after the first day sleeping here and completely wasted one full week of my holiday to recover. I've had to buy an air purifier for the room. - Everything is old, the big shower head doesn't work and the bathroom floor floods after each use. - The guests staying at this hotel are rude, probably because of the lower price it attracts a cheap clientele. - The reception never picks up the phone. Pros - The location is okay(ish), it's near a bus stop with the hotel's name and a walk away from the MTR. - The cleaning ladies are good and do the best they can. They've had to replace the tissue paper box several times since I can't stop sneezing. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels replaced. - The toilet 🚽 is American Standard, large and comfortable for you to do your business. Overall, think twice before Booking the basic rooms. I'm half way through my holiday, but I can't stay here any longer. I simply cannot sleep, I'm still jet-lagged and ill. My booking is non-refundable, but I'll have to move to a better hotel, I can't stand being this uncomfortable anymore. *Photos are of my newly purchased air purifier filter after 2x days on inside the hotel room, all this dust will be inside your lings if you sleep here* 🚨⚠️ AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS ⚠️🚨️ This is a clear example of the cheap that ended up being expensive, since I'll have to Book another hotel and waste my money here. Never before have I ever left a Hotel halfway through my stay. If regret could kill, I'd be dead by now, since I regret ever considering Booking this hotel.

Location is good, quite convenient. Premium room is spacious. Hotel is rundown & needs renovation. Bathroom ventilation is bad. Curtain dirty. No shower cap provided.

Rooms very old. Bathtub doesn't looks clean. First time encountered the toothpaste was like a tablet . Do not really know how to use it, so I just let lit melt in my mouth. Paying high price for a budget hotel

I did not expect that the room would be big. One room can fit 2 Adults and 1 child , the bed for each type of room is queen bed or king bed and the room itself is very comfy and clean. It's also spacious. Also they have bed's for kids as well is the family room. We like the hotel but it's kinda far from the city center and the nearest subway station is 15 mnts walk and it's quiet far from disney as well. But we did have a pleasant stay and sleep. The staff is very accommodating and can speak english as well.

Quite a distance to hotel if you’re travelling from Kai Tak MTR. Nonetheless, room is big and comfortable with some food options on the first 2 floors of the hotel. Definitely enjoyed my stay there.
