I glanced through the other reviews before I decided to write a review, in case I missed something. People clearly had a different experience than I did. The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the dinner was outstanding. There was a lot of food, too much in fact, including succulent beef, an entire fish on a stick (not appealing to look at, but tasty), plus a variety of other distinctly Japanese dishes. So, if you stay at this hotel, come to dinner hungry. As for Mt. Fuji: If the weather is pristine, then indeed you can see Mt. Fuji from the 3rd floor via a tiny little ”observatory room.” If the weather isn't perfect, you'll see bits of the mountain as clouds slowly drift by. The room is very standard Japanese, meaning: tatami mat floor (fake tatami, real would be impossible to maintain), green-tea colored walls, futons that you must lay out yourself, a small flat-screen TV (you won't be able to get anything except local channels), and a separate toilet room and bath, plus a tiny sitting room with a view of whatever is available (we were on the first floor and could see some trees and a walkway). Note: if you are used to sleeping on a bed, you will not wake up feeling well rested. I have lived in Japan for 29 years and I originally slept on a futon, but unless you are used to doing so, you will not have a restful experience, so it's best to be exhausted when you go to sleep. The ”sento” (public bath) is very small and nothing to write home about. Yes, the water is hot and it feels good, but the entire room is small, and at full capacity, 10 people can use it, except -- it would be extremely uncomfortable with that many people in it. The location of the hotel: If you have a car, you'll be sitting pretty, whizzing around hither and on. If you do not, and you make the mistake of walking from the hotel to cross the main road so you can get a better (possibly) view of Mt. Fuji and surrounding nature areas, you risk your life. I repeat: you risk your life. Traffic is coming from both directions and you do not really have the proper amount of time to gauge the traffic coming from both sides. We were lucky we didn't get killed. There is no crosswalk, no signs, no nothing. You have been warned. Yes, the staff will pick you up from the station or bus stop, or wherever the agreed upon place is, and take you back. However, despite what some other reviews have said, I did not find the staff to be remotely friendly. Not at all. And I can speak fair Japanese. The hotel seemed short-staffed, certainly at the front desk. And of the three ”front desk men” that I encountered, not one of them smiled the entire time, except once, when I realized that one of them actually understood what I was saying in English when I spoke to my partner. Otherwise, they were very business-like, which is fine for a corporate meeting, but not for a hotel. The hotel is located just by the lake side, close to the bus station, and also provides plenty of places for parking. The owners are very friendly and warm hearted. They are ready to help from early morning to night. The room is of traditional Japanese style. It is my first time to try this type of room but I can sleep very well here. It is very quite at night. And you can have a good lake view for some rooms. I will definitely consider stay here next time when I travel to Yamanakako. ご馳走様でした！

房間很寬敞，日式感覺很有趣。 酒店開業時間有點早了，設施老但是卻跟好用也很乾凈。 強烈推薦給去山中湖的人。 房間有個小陽台，可以喝茶，很愜意。公共浴室好像是天然温泉，泡一泡也很愜意。 最重要的是，一定要定他家的飯，早飯晚飯都可以。超級性價比。早餐1000日元，晚餐3000日元好像，有點記不住了。吃的很豐盛，雖然食材不是很貴的那種，但是風味很好。 他家不是很好找，我就迷路了，在山中湖日之丘車站，往山上走，他家立了小牌子，寫的是庭院茶寮。進去就是他家。

Very comfortable and spacious place. Recommend. The landlord is friendly. He showed the flexibility and delivered my breakfast in advance in the night, which enabled me to depart to the Fuji mountain for a long distance and time consuming trail early in the next morning.

La casa dispone de amplias habitaciones, con camas cómodas, bien climatizadas, y limpias. Los baños son compartidos pero están muy limpios. El matrimonio que lo gestiona apenas hablan inglés, pero son super amables, se hacen por entenderse y te ofrecen bebidas gratis. La ubicación no está mal si dispones de vehículo propio, sino está un poco descolgado.

這是一對老夫婦經營的家族旅店，房間很乾凈整潔，我們定的是日式房，榻榻米上面鋪了暖和柔軟的被子，不用擔心會睡不習慣，從我們的房間裏就可以看到天鵝湖和富士山（天氣好的話）。爺爺奶奶非常用心地經營這家旅店，我們那天去的時候正好趕上山中湖煙火大會，爺爺奶奶向我們介紹了這個活動，還贈送給我們免費的入場券，這天天氣有點陰雨，爺爺借給我們雨傘，還開車把我們送到活動會場。無人機表演和煙火很漂亮！還説如果想看夜晚的紅葉祭和早晨的日出也可以開車送我們。公共浴室裏的温泉特別舒服，洗乾淨身體之後泡在裏面一天的疲憊都消去了～ 地理位置離平野の濱走路衹需要四分鐘，如果想在山中湖看日出的話非常方便。 交通方面，我們乘坐從東京新宿的高速巴士一直坐到終點站：山中湖 平野，下車後步行五分鐘即可到達民宿。在平野站邊就有一家711，附近也有一些餐廳，可以谷歌地圖查看營業時間自行選擇。
