Hotel Comfort Inn di Houston

Could only rate this a 3 because it was clean and breakfast was good. Room was very dated with old carpet and bathroom was not great. First, the safety lock on the door was held on by one screw. Useless. Bathroom once had a tub but that was removed to make the room handicapped accessible. Tub drain was the only drain for the shower and the conversion was a shotty job. Shower floor was not level and would not drain. Another drain was installed in the middle of the room which was useless. Water flowed over the shower area and made the entire bathroom floor wet. Had to ask for more cloth bathmats just to soak up the water. We only had a half a roll of toilet paper with no new rolls. An attempt to make the floor look new, contractor just put a thin layer of grout over the old and that is why floor in front of sink had black grout. Maybe another room without a conversion would be better. Room had mini fridge, microwave, tv, small safe and coffee maker. Front desk staff were nice and check in was easy. Not a bad hotel if you’re looking for inexpensive with easy access to highway.

all of the bad reviews are total lies, this hotel has to be one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed at in Houston, I have severe anxiety and the staff was so wonderful that all went away, The desk staff is amazing, they give the most amazing service, Chris and kateri were one of the best. don’t even get me started on the food, the food is to die for, I recommend the breakfast sandwich, the bistro staff brightened my morning. The rooms from the gym were all great, the bathrooms were so Nice and the beds were beyond comfortable, for my gym freaks out there the gym has so many amenities, medicine balls, cycles, treadmills, and much more. by far the staff has to be the best part of it all, shout-out to my guy Chris, ever get a chance to meet him make sure to use your outside voice. ps, tell him Bradie said hi

I checked in very late - around 8-9pm - and the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice. She made conversation with us about our trip and our jobs and told us all the available amenities. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was your average hotel breakfast, but had more options than I usually see so close to the end of breakfast time. They did not begin cleaning up breakfast right at the end time, which was nice because they let us keep grazing on what was left before finally taking it away about 20 minutes after breakfast had ended. The vending machines were really cool. There were cheap toiletries in the vending machine that you could buy in case you forgot something at home, and the cola vending machine had ice cold drinks for pretty cheap. I had a great time staying at this hotel and would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. I've stayed at this brand of hotel (Choice Hotels) before and I've always had a great experience.

❌First and last time I stay in these hotels, we came down for a funeral and decide to stay in this hotel after our last day of staying here our family dropped us off and we left our car at the hotel because why couldn’t we? We get to the hotel and see we have a slashed tire then we look around the car and see that the under of the car many parts were stolen We researched everything and called dealerships the total for this would be $10,000 which is insane we just lost a loved one and this is the last thing we want to deal with please DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL it is the worst hotel ever, we called the manager and told him if he could give us a solution he yelled and said it’s public parking he then hung up on us, the doors aren’t even locked ANYONE can come inside this hotel please save yourself this headache and find something else LISTEN TO REVIEWS THIS HOTEL HAS 1 STAR for a reason❌ Yes the sign is there but the doors are NEVER locked

Lets start off by being told I had to move truck from the front area where you unload. Apparently 7 min is long enough when the managers wife wants to park there, so she could park in the shade. We unloaded part of my truck into the room but was not finished when I received a call telling me I needed to move. As we unloaded into the room we found a pair of dirty socks rolled up on the floor. I brought them to the front and received a hearty ”I'm sorry, that's funny” On night number 2, I went to sit down in the chair and found a whole hardened chicken nugget stuck to the side, lucky thing I was hungry. Bawahahahaha. Breakfast is not served but I was informed that McDonald's does, no kidding Sherlock! I understand that people are still concerned about the Covid, but I just stayed in another Comfort suites in Beaumont Tx. and it was fantastic, with breakfast. Day four, while sitting in my Nugget Chair a roach ran across my leg and onto the bed. I won't bother you with the staff because they (on person) are almost non existent. The room is cleaned okay but feels dirty, including the tables and desk (sticky). Decor looks like it was purchased at a hotel sale. The size of the room is standard. As for the Internet, well i'm using my hot spot to write this review because internet is terrible and continually cuts out. My stay ends tomorrow and instead of extending my stay another week, I walked over to the Hampton Inn and booked a week there. I know they are friendly, the rooms are clean and I won't be treated like a second, third class citizen. I stay at choice hotels a lot because of work but I will never stay here again. And before you say, this guy is just a pampered little bleep, you should know I stay in some real crappy places on the road but when i'm in Katy Texas, staying at Comfort Suites I expect more.

Upon check in we asked about the breakfast (which was included in the room rate). We were advised that there would be no breakfast as they had no food. Interestingly enough, while we awaited the shuttle to return to the airport the next day, we noticed there was a food store right next door. Would one not think that would be an option to get some food for the hotel breakfast? We went to our room and tried the coffee maker. It would not work. We then tried to call the front desk to request a wakeup call for the next morning. The telephone would not work. I heard someone in the hallway and it was a person from the room across the hall. He was going to the desk and said ”The phones do not work” and he would ask them to knock on our door the next day for a wakeup. We did not have a cell phone plan that worked in the U.S. therefore we depend on the hotel room phone. It has never been a problem. I had said on checkin that we should get a room discount due to the lack of breakfast. as this is an important factor in choosing a hotel. Upon submitting a review of our hotel experience I received an e-mail advising that they would try to improve their service. We had planned to stay at this hotel on our return to Houston on the way home so I immediately canceled this reservation and found another hotel in the Houston airport area. We have stayed at many Comfort Hotels in Canada and the U.S. and have always found them to be quite good. We would not recommend staying at this location. There ar so many other choices in the Houston Airport area.
