Ama Ibiza

Ideal for couples and small groups of friends who want somewhere with a cool and chilled ambience, away from the hustle and bustle, but within easy walking distance to the best beach bars and clubs in Playa d’En Bossa. Perfect beachfront location looking out over the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The site is modern, newly developed, yet secluded and homely at the same time. Spotlessly clean, inside and out. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Drinks and food on the pricey side but no dearer than anywhere else along the beachfront. I would recommend the breakfast with a choice of buffet or freshly prepared and served to you in the restaurant area. A chill out soundtrack plays throughout the day on a high quality sound system and a live DJ mixes chilled tunes on a Friday and Saturday. Loved this place and will definitely return!

Beautiful rooms and super pool area in this newly renovated up market hotel. There is direct access to the beach - waking up to sunrise views is a real treat and you can see Ibiza town and the cathedral in the distance. The staff were relaxed and helpful and the location is close to all the famous bars and clubs of Playa den Bossa.

I stayed here with my husband in June. I usually go heavily on reviews before booking anywhere, but this time I was sold on the photos and decided to risk it and book this hotel for our trip. Big. Mistake. Negatives: - The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on, completely rock solid. Sleeping on the tiled floor would probably have been more comfortable. When I asked reception if there was anything we could do, they didn’t come up with anything. I asked for an extra quilt which I would fold up and sleep on (this didn’t help at all), and the cleaners would unfold it and put it on the end of the bed every day so I would have to rearrange the bed every night - There is no parking near this hotel. We had to drive around for 10-15 minutes some nights just to find a space which you then have to walk to the hotel via dark backstreets - The pool area was so dirty. We didn’t see anyone sweep the floors once during our whole week stay - The rooms were done very cheap. The doors in the kitchen area were falling off, the fridge wasn’t working, and our room was full of ants most days - We didn’t find the staff very helpful or attentive. It was difficult to get attention around the pool or at reception. We had to wait at reception one day as no one was there for quite a while, and when someone did eventually come out, she didn’t even apologise - The planes fly directly over the hotel very low down. This meant it was super load every 5-10 minutes during the day whilst trying to relax around the pool. They also flew all night long, so we had to sleep with ear plugs every night otherwise we wouldn’t have got any sleep Positives: - Breakfast was nice, but pretty expensive for what you got - The pool area could be lovely if it was cleaner Overall, we have been very lucky to stay in some amazing hotels around the world, and for 400 euros a night, this hotel was no where near where it should have been. It should have felt a lot more luxurious, and nothing about this place felt like that. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I would not recommend anyone spend their hard earned money on this hotel.

This is a newer hotel so they’re still figuring out some kinks, but it’s still a great boutique beachfront option in Ibiza. The pool area is beautiful & the breakfast is lavish & delicious as well. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A few items to note for future travelers: - It it set up “motel style” where your room opens outside to the hallway (there’s no interior corridor) - If you’re near the front of the hotel it’s very loud at nighttime (doors are not anywhere near soundproof) + you can also hear all the planes flying in - There is no hair conditioner, only shampoo and body wash - Towel cards are required (this felt VERY cheap to me for a resort of this tier which I paid ~€450/night — they charge you €20 if you lose your towel card and it’s not possible to get 2 towels even if you’re traveling solo) - No dry cleaning nor do they have any connections to dry cleaners in the area - The only way to get water by the pool is to pay €7 for a small water bottle While I personally wouldn’t necessarily return, it is a lovely option for this area of Ibiza which is walkable to all the major nightlife options & felt relatively safe.

Wow, just wow! I’ve been to Ibiza many times and this is the best hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! It’s not just the amazing building, comfy beds and brilliant sea front location but the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, special shout of to Sarah from the pool and Rachel from the front desk - going out of their way to help - it really adds to the relaxed and Ibiza vibe this place has. The pool is stunning and the perfect place to relax and the food is equally as good. Thank you! We will be back :)

As with any seasonal beach town, there is low season and high season. Low season, this is a $150/night hotel and high season it is $350/night hotel (just saying amounts as an example, check for actual rates). What it means is that, you feel taken advantage of during the high season because it is not really worth that rate and like you get a steal during low season. It is a nice hotel. I loved our suite - two separate rooms with a kitchenette and a decent sized but small bathroom with poor lighting. The bed was ok - a little hard but comfortable. The balcony looked to the hotel next door. If you like to go to bed early or like quiet, this is not the place for you, at least not during the high season. Music is playing from a lot of the rooms until folks leave to go to the nightclubs around midnight or 1 AM. And they are playing loud and drinking loud. And if you throw in someone like my friend who likes this crazy German chicken song, it can be a cacophony. The pool is very deep and very nice. But, I preferred to go to the ocean. There is definitely jockeying to get the seating around the pool. The hotel chain owns the one next door (Dorado) and that one seemed to be a bit quieter and more relaxing. On a separate note, I was warned that Ibiza is very expensive. The nightclubs are expensive ($35 -$100 for a ticket, $15 for a beer/shot, etc.) and the hotels are pricey during high season, but everything else was equal to or cheaper than where I live in Boston (restaurants, cabs, shops, etc.).
