This review was written by my 8-year old daughter: About this hotel: It is a family hotel. If you are a kid, the first thing they are going to do is give you a teddy bear. It has a swimming pool and a gym. The swimming pool is really cool and it has a small waterfall built into a rock. The gym is quite big itself but we didn't go there. It has a nice view and a nice hotel restaurant. The food is really good and they have a really great breakfast. You order the main food and you get to choose the side dishes from a breakfast bar. For the main food, I picked omelet - it is quite yummy but it was not salty enough. For the side dishes, I picked cereal, kiwi and juice. They were all really yummy and sweet. You should go to Dorint. I give this hotel a five star review. -- From the parents' side a few additional notes: On the negative side - There is no AC in the apartment, so while this may not matter in the summer, it was quite warm during our visit (30-35C). It cools off nicely in the evening, but there are no screens on the window, so you'll likely end up with a few moths or other bugs in the room if you leave the windows open. On the positive side, they really cater well to families - from the teddy bear at check-in to a little board game on the back of the kids menu, to the small playground area (which seemed to be good for 4-6 year olds). Die Zimmerausstattung ist einfach und eher auf 1* bis 2*-Niveau. Der Innenbereich des Hotels ist insgesamt recht abgenutzt und bräuchte eine grundlegende Renovierung. Obwohl bei der Buchung kostenloses Wifi angegeben war, hatte ich auf meiner ganzen Etage kein Wifi und es gab nur im und um das Foyer herum Empfang. Das Personal wirkte gestresst und recht überfordert. Weder bei mir noch bei einem anderen Gast lag eine Buchungsbestätigung und Zahlungsbestätigung vor, so dass ich zunächst doppelt bezahlen musste, später aber das Geld zurückbekam. Keine Empfehlung!

This is a wonderful guest house in a stunningly beautiful setting. The owners are extremely hospitable. They tell you when you arrive that you arrive as guests but leave as friends. It isn't just hype, it is really true! We were there 5 days (we wished it could have been longer) and at the end we did feel like we had made new friends! The property itself is an easy 15 minute drive up above Interlaken, providing a fantastic view of the valley and Lake Thun. The owners are also very knowledgeable about the area and are happy to suggest worthwhile things to see that are not in guidebooks, which is very useful. Breakfast in the morning was nice as well, with local specialties. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area.

We stayed in a triple room for two nights here. Everything was fantastic - the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful (they provided so much helpful information), the room (#103) was very unique with a usable balcony off the bathroom!, and at night, we didn’t hear one sound from the street, even with the window open. Breakfast room and food was lovely. Extremely clean. And we enjoyed their shaded front porch one afternoon. Honestly, there wasn’t one thing I could identify as a “thumbs down”. One of the best places we’ve stayed at in all our years of travel. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a fantastic location. It was across the way from the west train station and not far from the main town. We had a fantastic big clean room overlooking breathtaking views. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of hot and cold food, However due to lack of staff when things ran out, they weren't being replaced very quickly but the waitress did her very best and was very pleasant when asked. The only complaints that I would have is that the hotel is very out dated and in need of a bit of maintenance. Also the Irish bar is not very Irish! and no beer on draft so very disappointing But overall a fantastic stay.

I stayed here in August with two friends - we loved our room and were fortunate enough to get a balcony and view of the mountains - not that we stayed in room much as there is so much to see around the area ! But it was beautiful to wake up to ! Like the previous reviewer I was a little worried by some previous negative reviews ….. but be assured Hotel Chalet Swiss is rustic and charming and spotlessly clean and the staff were all wonderful - from front desk to kitchen staff We had a family room / triple room - and as it is chalet style - yes it will be an older style - but very clean and good shower and the beds were very comfy and they provided fans - it could still be hot but most people could open windows for breeze .. we didn’t only as mosquitoes seem to love our pale Northern Irish skin 😂 The breakfast was lovely and the ladies serving ( or organising some guests who seemed more clueless at moving around a small buffet space !) were brilliant ( they accommodated my need for oat milk as I was staying for 6 days which was so appreciated) the breakfast had a large variety of cereals , fruit , fresh bread and croissants and bread for toasting and lots of jams or spreads , cold hams and cheeses and scrambled egg and a coffee machine ( for those that say there wasn’t enough variety we were there for 6 days and even me who was more limited being dairy free - was still very happy with my breakfasts - and view from breakfast most days …. Now I’m home my own breakfast feels inadequate 😂 The staff were very helpful and the guy we were speaking to ( might have been the owner ?) on our last day was so interesting with a wealth of knowledge of the travel industry and changes he’s seen - sorry we couldn’t have listened to more of his tales ! ( the hotel also accommodated us checking out in am and providing left luggage storage before catching train back to Zurich in afternoon which meant we could make most of our last day ) The hotel is very convenient to Interlaken West - ( even with cases !) and also very handy to a Co-op supermarket which became our place to stock up on food / snacks for lunch - en route to the train for that days adventures . You can easily walk into Interlaken from the hotel but I highly recommend walking by the river ( it’s turquoise and you won’t believe it till you see it !) which takes you all the way to Interlaken Ost train station and to Harder Kulm All in all we loved our stay in Interlaken and would highly recommend this hotel !

This little hotel was in the middle of Interlaken it was great, the young gentleman on reception was lovely snd spoke great English, he interacted and said hello everytime he saw us. The hotel gives you a bus pass which is great. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was powerful snd refreshing, the beds were so comfortable matress, duvet, and pillow. We would 100% stay here again.
