"The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre, with easy access to public transport, including the free City Loop and trams nearby. The room is equipped with useful amenities such as a fridge and microwave, which made the stay more comfortable. However, the facilities are quite dated. Some fixtures, like the drawers and toilet roll holder, were damaged. The pillows were both quite high, which made them uncomfortable to sleep on. Additionally, the soundproofing is not great, and noise from outside or neighbouring rooms can be noticeable. Overall, a convenient location with basic amenities, but the comfort and maintenance could be improved."

"We stayed here for 3 nights. The hostel is okay, there is a lot of permanent residents in the hostel so the kitchen is busy and not a big size so can get too much. There was then food left out and dishes left around so didn’t feel clean. However the rooms were clean and hoovered everyday we were there so that was the main thing for us as we didn’t use the kitchen as much.
They did offer breakfast included which was basic but nice (few muffins, cereal and hot drinks etc) in addition dinner was included but was the same meals that seem repeated
The staff were nice and helpful. We arrived very early in the morning from the bus service (6:00 am) having a member of the team on for this time would be helpful as we had to sit in the living room section with someone asleep on the sofa and two others eating breakfast. It would mainly help with the smoothness etc but once someone arrived they were able to check us into a room straightaway which was amazing!
Location is good as it’s near the bus terminal and around a 15 min walk to the centre of Adelaide."

"The receptionist service was great especially during the check in process. The room looks new and clean. The breakfast was good but only western option and same everyday. I was going to kangaroo island on one day and have to go before breakfast starts so the receptionist kindly helped me to prepare a take away for my breakfast. The location was ok, a few mins distance to public transport and restaurants. Behind is Rundle mall and Adelaide arcade right beside. However, it could be a bit noisy because it’s located right beside the main road. Overall, it’s great and will consider staying here again! 👍"

"Have stayed a few times over last 10yrs and has always been good but this last stay shows the hotel is getting tired and needs some money spent on it.
No hot water for a shower Sunday morning, king double bed sagging on both sides, old pillows that gave me a sore neck and very dirty carpet. Staff very pleasant and obviously dealing with more than just my feedback. Probably won't book here again though price is very reasonable."

The staff's exceptional responsiveness and attentiveness truly stood out. While things may not always go perfectly, they addressed my concerns quickly and made me feel genuinely welcomed - just like being at home.
A special thanks to Jenny at the front office who thoughtfully arranged a room with a view of the riverside fireworks (a delightful surprise I wasn’t expecting). From check-in at the front desk to luggage delivery and even proactive messages letting me know I could reach out anytime, the entire team (Divya, Kenneth, Kimberly, Kendra) was consistently attentive and responsive.
Though I only booked the basic room type, it was surprisingly spacious with a comfortable sofa and a convenient desk. The bathroom included both a tub and a shower.
I truly appreciated the generous space and excellent service. Everything was too good! It was really great value for money. You simply cannot find a competitor in the city at the same price that offers such an outstanding level of service, space and amenities.
Their dedication allowed me to relax and enjoy my stay with peace of mind. I would love to return! :) which I actually did extend my stay for a week ***"

"I found the one night stay quite good- very close to M1 and M2, and to shopping centre, convenient in terms of parking, shopping and access to lots of amenities. Loved the service as we arrived in the hotel at 9 pm which was fairly late, however the reception guys were super welcoming us and processed check-in rather well."

Very nice and colorful designed hotel. The breakfast was of very good quality, we would have enjoyed more fruit variety though. The room was clean and spacious but we couldn’t get the night lights turned off. Very friendly and patient staff, especially Rachel took very well care of us.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, very cramped and staff were struggling to keep up, did not feel like a five star experience. Balcony really tiny with no view, so not one you could actually use. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly.

This is a pretty good (though expensive) hotel in a great location. The decor may be starting to age, but its not too bad just yet, and I absolutely love the layout that allows the bathroom to be open to the room or closed off. The luxury feel of the bathroom quickly wears off when you get into the shower and wait fifteen minutes for hot water, especially when the water is coming through an ageing water saving shower head that probably should have been replaced during the previous Gulf War.
I visited during Fringe, so the streets were loud, but the hotel is right in the thick of it if that's your thing (it was mine). I was impressed with how the noise from outside could be lowered reasonably well with both the balcony and inner windows closed. I was less impressed with the little sign that said they cared for the environment, which was a kind of care that didn't seem to extend to the provision of a recycling bin, which seems rather contradictory. It did, however extend to actually having the fridge off for my arrival, despite it having minibar items in it! A very strange arrangement indeed, as it renders the minibar useless until the fridge can be brought down to temperature.
But overall, I had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was excellent.

Smelly rooms. Towels looked grey. The air-conditioning exhaust fan is connected directly to the hallway and makes it unbearably hot once walking out of our unit. This terrible design also renders the air-conditioning inside the room ineffective when the hot air being pumped out eventually seeps though the gap between the door and the walls/floor mixing with the cooler air in the apartment. I have to commend the engineer who thought of this ingenious way to waste energy and torture hotel guests while the aforementioned guests were trying their best to do their part in saving sea turtles by sipping tepid drinks in their psuedo sauna rooms with paper straws which slowly melt into pulps, at the same time pondering what life choices they have made to deserve this. As a group of atheists, we couldn't help but reflect and repent. Hell does exist. It might be akin to staying in an apartment eqiuped with an infinite heating loop during the scorching summer of Adelaide.
The A/C eventually failed completely in two out of three rooms during our second night of stay. We did not ask for help from the hotel staff as it's already 2am. After one long sleepless night, we rushed back to the Northern Hemisphere and accepted Jesus Christ as our only lord and saviour. Amen.

The two most important things for me in any hotel are a comfortable bed and a good shower.
the bed was great but the water pressure in the shower was very poor.
Aside from that, there were other issues that I would not expect from a hotel of this standard, carrying the prices it does.
The TV power button did not work, neither did any of the top buttons on the remote.
Once I turned the TV on at the GPO and then on the actual TV itself, I was unable to use the connected DVD player as the buttons to switch to it on the remote did not work.
Breakfast was quite poor. Basically cereal or scrambled eggs with a few other options such as fruit cups, yoghurt and biscuits.
It served my purpose being close to the convention centre, but I doubt I'd stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located about 10 to 15 mins walk across parklands from East Terrace in the city which is where most of the popular restaurants and cafes are. During our stay, the preparation for the V8 car races was ongoing and many of the roads were blocked off. But finding a detour was easy enough. The hotel has limited onsite parking but there are plenty of spaces in the quiet residential streets behind the hotel. The hotel’s reception also manages the Econo Lodge Hotel which is located across the street and has its own parking. We only stayed for 1 night and did not get to try the restaurant onsite. The rooms layouts were not exactly rectangular but they were big enough to accommodate a king and a single bed and a pull out bed from under the single bed. A good and unusual feature was a power point built into the bed side cabjnet which works well for those with a need to use CPAP machines or for charging devices. There was a study/work table in the room that is useful for business travellers.

Located in the north of Adelaide is a 3 minute drive from the botanical gardens and approximately 25 minute walk. It's got good parking and is easy to get to. Old building with lots of history.
