We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. Booked an executive suite for three nights and it lived up to the Bellagio name — spacious, elegantly finished, with the kind of detailing you’d expect at this level. The separate living area made it feel more like an apartment than a room, and executive lounge access was a nice perk for breakfast and evening drinks. Service was polished and responsive. Outstanding Stay at Kerry Hotel Shanghai Kerry Hotel Shanghai is one of those rare hotels that gets almost everything right. From the moment you arrive, the service is warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling forced. The rooms are spacious, modern, extremely comfortable, and very well maintained. The hotel has an energetic atmosphere, excellent restaurants, a fantastic breakfast, and one of the best fitness and wellness facilities I’ve seen in a city hotel. The location next to Kerry Parkside and Century Park is also excellent, with restaurants, shopping, and transportation all within easy reach. What really stands out, however, is the staff. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of. That level of service is what turns a good hotel into a memorable one. I travel frequently and stay in many hotels around the world, and Kerry Hotel Shanghai continues to impress me. Excellent facilities, excellent service, great location, and a team that clearly cares about its guests. Highly recommended.

The hotel is beautiful, situated right on the bund. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. My family and I were travelling through China for 4 weeks, and I booked this place for 4 nights, we usually like to stay in places where we can do laundry, here we had to use an outsourced business to get our laundry done as there are no laundry facilities close by and it would have cost us $500 aud to get our laundry done through the hotel. Just something to be mindful of if you are travelling with a family. However in saying that, the process of outsourcing was only made possible because of the assistance given by the hotel. I’m glad we booked it, the experience overall was great.

Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, reflecting the highest standards of hospitality. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely well-maintained. The attention to detail was impressive—from the luxurious bedding to the advanced in-room technology, everything was carefully curated for both comfort and convenience. The hotel facilities were equally outstanding. The ambiance throughout the property is elegant and refined, and the location along the Bund offers stunning views and easy access to key attractions in Shanghai. Dining was also a highlight, with excellent service and high-quality food. The overall experience—from check-in to check-out—was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. This is a true five-star hotel that delivers on both luxury and service. I would highly recommend The Peninsula Shanghai and would definitely return on my next visit.

great hotel to stay when you’re on the budget! the location is good, around like 10-15 mins to the nearest metro station, there’s also a lawson nearby, the room was quite small but the bed was comfortable

Hotel is 2 minutes walk away from the Shanghai railway station (you can literally see the station). Another a 5-7 minutes walk can take you to the 1, 12, and 13 metro line. A mall around the area, a line of shops near the neighborhood, downstairs is a convenient store, easy to find hotel, you can’t miss it. Pool is under construction during our stay but they have other amenities like a very small gym, free laundry (washer + dryer), spa, and handful of rooms for board games mainly featuring Mahjong, if you’re a fan you will love it. These amenities is downstairs in the basement which you have to exit the building and take a separate entrance for. I want to note that I did see a water bug in the living checking area and in the amenities room. That is something they can def fix. Otherwise really good location if you plan to use the railway station or don’t want to stay at the city center. Bathroom is separated into wet and dry. It have an option for overhead shower, fantastic water pressure. Door is not transparent, but it does not have a lock. Toilet have a bidet but I want to note that our toilet did have a faint but noticeable smell of urine, I’m not sure if it’s because the staff did not clean it well or its something else. There are no dirty spots and it’s visually clean. Overall for the price of the hotel it’s SO spacious, clean and just so worth it.

The place is quite nice and homey. There’s a lot of cookwares and kitchen utensils, also smart projector for entertainment. The place is easy to find, even though we need to walk a quiet distance from the nearest station. Still reachable though. There’s also many stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The hosts are very helpful and professional. I would recommend to stay here bcs it offers excellent value for money…
