Perfect stay in the clouds resort. We spent five nights here. I am living in Chiba for 18 years. This is the best stay in hotel since I am here. The village is touristic, but authentic and quiet in night. It’s a mix of ancient village, water, nature. The dream China. The resort is perfectly located on the side of the lake. The common parts are wonderful, from the term, the garden, the courtyards. You can feel the soul of the country here, built by multiple generations. The rooms are traditional but beautiful and extremely well equipped with huge shower, Japanese toilets, huge bathtub. There is 3 courtyards, all original and authentic. You feel the heat of history. The restaurant is the best of the city, for reasonable prices and tasty and comfortable settings. On the top of it, very dedicated staff, trying their best to make us happy, nice breakfast, nice afternoon tea, tea ceremony… we can be only grateful to have the pleasure to stay here. Fast train station is just ten minutes away…

A cosy hotel with attentive and friendly staff. I chose a room without the smell of tobacco, and it truly was odour-free. The location is quiet, and breakfast is served at the table in the dining area. The only downside to my stay was the behaviour of some inconsiderate guests who arrived around midnight, shouting at each other and watching television for about 2-3 hours. I reported this to reception, but it seems the staff were already asleep and unable to address the issue promptly.

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

Owners are very kind , friendly and helpful 😍. I booked villa for our family and the house is quite big (3bedrooms). The attic room super warm ( -4 when I visited ) but very dirty under the bed. The location is near to the gate. At the owner house has 2cat(mimi1 and mimi2) and 1dog(xiaobai). Owner help us to booked the car to Huangshan. (if you want to book the car for pick up from airport or train station please contact hotel directly the price will be cheaper than transport service at there ALOT!!!) Thank you for warming us like a family 🥰.

Our room is a pretty and cute room that is on the first floor and facing the garden. The room is huge with two huge beds and spacious with a couch and hanging racks with enough hangers for two. The amenities are acceptable but there is an unpleasant smell in the WC area. We like that the hotel is located at the end of the street, away and yet close to the busyness of the street. Left turn after exiting the hotel will lead to the moon pond and the very nice dessert stall 宏颜知己 is less than 3 min walk ahead.  The staff are helpful but they can improve on front desk management skill. They appear confused when we arrived in a group with different bookings for different types of rooms. The rooftop can use some lightings at night so guests can still enjoy the town especially if they arrive later and only staying for a night.   Our greatest disappointment is that we did not receive the souvenir included in our bookings. We were all tired when we arrived in the evening after 6pm and leaving next morning.. The hotel could have prepared and given out to us upon our check-in. This damaged our overall experience with the hotel.

This place is located within Hongcun ancient city and you will need to purchase the pass to reach the place . The pass is valid for three days. The place was quint and for a traveler looking for an local experience this will be the place with a nice yard and standard chinese home built with wood. The stay would have been more comfortable with better heating facilities. The room was extremely cold even with two heaters being used. It was almost impossible to use the bathroom as there was no heating facilities in the bathroom. Ironically the comforter was the one that provided some comfort in this cold weather as temperatures varied greatly during the morning and night. The boss was pretty nice though, he was a quiet person that spoke very little to guests. However, if you made any request with him, he will not only accommodate it but will value add by taking his initiative to make things as convenient as possible for you. I have personally experienced this and it was a pleasant surprise. The boss took the initiative to arrange for me to reach my next hotel destination right up to its doorstep although I did not expect him to do so. Very much appreciated him for his thoughtfulness. Overall experience of the stay was acceptable, if the room had better heating facilities this would have definitely enhance the comfort of the stay greatly for the traveler.

一家五口來宏村 看了好多民俗最終選了有巢別院，古韻房間非常不錯 有一排正對着庭院的窗子 房間寬敞明亮 古香古色 很有特點。複式樓上的榻榻米娃睡覺不用擔心夜裡掉下床 非常方便。車停在宏村西門的地下停車場很方便，老闆還幫助來回接送行李，非常滿意 家庭出行居住的好選擇

Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

住的盧宛套房，位置很好，就在主樓附近。房間沒得説，處處有窗，處處有景。從預訂了酒店之後，酒店的管家Jax就主動聯繫，推薦旅行規劃了，非常好。酒店裡的所有服務人員，都很有禮貌，非常熱情。開電車的小哥推薦一定要去奇墅湖，我們特地一早6點跑了一趟，宛若仙境，不虛此行。酒店的早餐非常豐盛，住了三晚，每天主菜都不重複。白雲中餐廳的晚餐，值得一試，大廚的水平是相當的高。Spa的品質超讚，需要提前預約，我原本約的晚上8:30，後來想提前半小時，沒有辦法改，全滿。做過之後，感覺非常值。整個酒店本身就值得好好看看，旁邊黃山文化園有田間小路通向盧村，哈哈哈
