"This guesthouse is located right inside Hongcun Scenic Area, super close to famous spots like Moon Pond and South Lake – just a three to five-minute walk. It's really convenient to get back after watching the fish lanterns at night. The paths within Hongcun can be a bit tricky, so it's a good idea to call the front desk when you arrive; they can help with luggage transfer. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, and the three beds were perfect for the three of us. It also had a private courtyard with a table, creating a lovely, ancient-style ambiance, complete with many small decorations perfect for photos. The guesthouse offers Hanfu and Qipao for guests to try on and even provides umbrellas. The auntie at the front desk and the uncle who helped with our bags were incredibly kind. We accidentally left something behind when we checked out, and they went out of their way to bring it back to us."

There's an underground parking garage, so it's very convenient for those traveling by car. This is a very well-designed hotel; the corridors and courtyard arrangements are full of thoughtful details, making every photo Instagram-worthy. The facilities are also outstanding – I always give high marks to hotels that provide washlets in every room. What truly deserves the most praise is the service. My father had a toothache and wanted to eat rice porridge with vegetables, which wasn't on the menu, but they proactively offered to prepare it for him. They even checked in on him during subsequent meals. The cleaning staff also offered caring advice. And the thoughtful souvenir given at checkout – these personal touches truly enriched our trip and made it unforgettable."

"Hygiene: Overall, it was excellent and very clean. Environment: I have to say, having such a large courtyard inside Hongcun is truly impressive. The courtyard is very well-maintained, and my mom absolutely loved it, taking tons of photos there – it’s very photogenic (Picture 3 shows a corner of the courtyard). Facilities: The only thing that I feel needs improvement during this stay is the air conditioning in the room (only for the room I stayed in). We visited during the plum rain season, so it was a bit stuffy and humid. Turning the AC up made it a bit too cold, but turning it down didn't seem to do much, although it was functional. I suggest it might need some maintenance or repair. Service: The service here was absolutely top-notch! The pick-up and drop-off were very prompt, and it’s very close to the West Gate parking lot. I paid 20 RMB for 24 hours of parking at the West Gate. The driver, though a man of few words, was truly wonderful. When he took us to the parking lot, he even drove his electric scooter to help us buy bamboo shoots because my mom loved them, haggled for us in the local dialect, and helped us pick out four really good ones! I usually don't spend time reviewing hotels and restaurants, but I just had to leave a good review for this driver! Additionally, the B&B is incredibly close to Moon Pond, just a few minutes' walk away, and about five or six minutes to South Lake (I walk quite fast). It's perfect for getting up early to grab a good spot for photos, as it gets quite crowded even by 7 AM now. Staying here gives you a big advantage for early morning photo ops. There are B&Bs around South Lake too, but I personally think they might not be as quiet as this one. Secondly, for food, I had both of my meals at the B&B, and the food was excellent, especially the stinky tofu. I've been to Anhui several times, and I've never had good stinky tofu until I ate it here – it was the best I've ever tasted (though not cheap). While the price was a bit on the higher side, we (two people) finished everything, which is better than paying for food you only eat a few bites of and waste. The rice was also very well-made; my mom, who is quite picky about food, ate a good amount. Plus, the restaurant faces the courtyard, offering a nice view, and dining is quiet and comfortable. Finally, the hand soap and toiletries were all quite good; my mom even found the toothbrush so comfortable that she took it home! 😅 This is definitely a B&B I would recommend to my friends."

"I am so lucky to stay at Qinglian Luxury Smart Hotel when I travel to Hongcun! From the moment I arrived at the village entrance, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the boss. He not only drove to pick me up, but also took the initiative to help carry my luggage. The room was a total surprise! The equipment is brand new, with smart toilets and electric curtains, giving it a full sense of technology; the lights and air conditioning can be controlled by voice, completely freeing your hands. The supporting facilities are very complete. After climbing the mountain, you can soak in the super large bathtub and all the fatigue will disappear in an instant! The bedding is soft, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the sound insulation is also very good, so I can sleep peacefully every night. The boss and his family are very down-to-earth. Not only did they patiently recommend tourist routes, they also lent us electric scooters for free so that we could travel around and take photos. When I checked out, the boss drove me to the station. The thoughtful service was so touching! I will definitely choose this place next time I come to Hongcun, and I must recommend it to my friends!"

"Moshangju is nestled in the northeast corner of Xidi Ancient Village, a tranquil haven far from the main tourist entrance in the southwest, making it the quietest spot in the village. It's very close to Parking Lot No. 7, just a short walk of a few dozen meters along a flagstone path. The owner enthusiastically picks up guests and their luggage in an electric sightseeing cart, also providing an introduction to the local attractions. The recently renovated guesthouse left a fantastic impression on me. First and foremost, it was genuinely spotlessly clean and tidy, which is always my top priority when choosing accommodation. Secondly, this guesthouse, with just eight rooms, feels like a miniature garden itself. It offers picturesque views at every turn, with dozens of koi carp swimming in the flowing water they've brought in. All of this was personally designed by the young owner. The husband and wife team manage the guesthouse, and you can truly feel the passion and love they've poured into it. The guesthouse's other merits are evident in numerous guest reviews. If I could only visit one ancient town in Huizhou, it would be Xidi; and if I could only pick one guesthouse in Xidi to stay at, I would absolutely choose Moshangju again."
