"We got the junior suite for our family of 4. The room was quite spacious and the kids loved the jacuzzi bathtub. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. Location was also great with the subway just outside. The view of Athens from the rooftop was also awesome… a great way to end our stay at Athens being able to see all the places we visited. The only issue I had was with the parking. While the hotel has parking, lots are limited and was full when we arrived. I had to find street parking. The first night, I was lucky and found one quite quickly and only about 6mins walk from the hotel. The second night, I took close to an hour to find parking. There was paid 24hr parking across the street but they couldn’t accommodate our larger car. The only other slight problem with our room was that the wind would hit against the door early in the morning when other people where checking out… as ours was a corner unit. It sounded like someone was slamming on our door and it woke me up. Took me awhile to figure out the rapping on the door was caused by the wind and not some prankster."

"I highly recommend B48 Dafni. It’s slightly off the center but getting to the Acropolis takes a 20 min ride, which is totally fine. The design is minimalist and the apartment is pristine clean and has almost everything you need (cooking supplies, blow dryer, cleaning kit, even a small safe deposit box). There is a shop nearby and some cafes.  A couple of things worth mentioning: if you think about having romantic breakfasts in the balcony, you won’t because the flat is overlooking a very busy highway crossing the whole city, though the smell, the dust and the occasional car noise. The noise level in the room with window closed is ok and they also give you some earplugs just in case.  Note that there is no washing machine, as I was staying for 10 days I had to discover that the nearest laundromat requires a 20 min ride which makes a whole operation very time consuming.  Also the apartments are really located near one another (like hotel rooms). I had pretty noisy neighbours and there was no salvation to this lol :) earplugs do help.  Apart of all that I had really great time there. The bed is really good, the cleaning staff is very nice and helpful (since there is no reception desk they will be the only ones answering your questions non-digitally).  But it totally worth its price and if you’re looking for something cosy and not too pricy this is a very good solution."

"Near train station of Central Athens, for 15 minutes walk (btw the announce from train only saying ”Athina”, some mess). Connect easily to metro Larissa Station. You can walk to the central of Athens, including attractions like Ancient Agora and Roman Agora. If you walk further south into the area, the famous Acropolis and the museum can be reached. Although some comments mentioned the locating area of hotel is a little bit not safe, this is just basic living area of locals (though some root level). Just keep yourself alerts, and they are not willing to border you. Once you reach the door of hotel, you will find feeling of good safety, there are always securities in front of door of hotel. Staffs are nice, greeting with you; breakfast provided, same types of choices everyday (I stayed 4 nights), good enough of Western Greek styles. Rooms are slightly old but tidy, anyway just remember basic facilities are provided e.g. no bottled water, toothbrush, slippers. In conclude, just a good 3-stars standard hotel, near city center, for budget! Lastly, just no worry on foods, some 24hr restaurants, maybe that Bread Factory hah"

"I’m a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing! It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use! You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too! On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind! The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick! The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow! Photos attached of the view from breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the square! I would recommend this hotel to stay on if you are wanting to be in the centre of Athens! "Our 2-night stay at this hotel in Athens was satisfying in terms of facilities and cleanliness, even though the location wasn't the best. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've arrived at a truly nice hotel. The view from its balcony makes you feel that you're exactly in Athens as it looks towards its streets. The receptionist was helpful and provided a luggage storage area for us on our check-out day. It met our expectations and I would recommend it, but keep in mind that it's located in the backstreets of Athens. You are likely to encounter homeless people and some sketchy individuals, so just be aware of the surroundings before booking. Thanks!"

"Lovely hotel -- either very new or well maintained room. Refreshing smell when you stepped into the room, including the towels! Reception was also lovely -- warm and friendly. They were very helpful. We were Island hopping and were coming back to Athens for a night before departing. Reception was helpful to allow us to deposit a luggage with them. They even arranged transport to the port and was there early in the morning for us."

"Had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel and I would totally recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Athens. It’s situated 10 mins from a metro and tram station and there’s plenty of choice within 2-3 mins for evening meals and drinks where you can mingle with the locals. It has a lovely rooftop bar which is worked superbly by Nikos and Giannis. The breakfast was basic but enough choice to get you fuelled up for the day. All in all, it was good value for money, clean and friendly."

"All the staffs have been super helpful and supportive of my special needs and the location is the heart of center of Athens. I am grateful for all staffs that assist me with my tough times in my life. Will definitely come back and stay here again. speechless for their efforts and kindness."

"Location is good and accessible to cafe, shops, metro stations and walkable to Acropolis. This hotel is located at the flea market. Need to walk the main street instead of the back lance. Hotel staff is friendly and service is good. They arranged us to have breakfast early at 6am as we are catching a early flight."

"The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there."
