All is so so so good, I can park my car at the hotel which is so great ! All the services and staff are so good, sure must come again ! ! So much enjoy fire works at the hotel room !

Although this hotel no onsen but it us worth for staying. Reason being they provide very nice breakfast set and no parking charges plus the services of the hotel was great n warm.

Location is excellent (within 10-min walk from the JR station) Many restaurants nearby Breakfast provided was excellent

Stayed at The Forest Akan Tsuruga Resort for three nights during our visit to Lake Akan. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the lakeside, Ainu Kotan, visitor centre, restaurants, Kamuy Lumina, and many of the area's attractions. It made exploring Lake Akan very convenient without needing transportation. The hotel itself has a warm, cozy atmosphere that blends nicely with the surrounding nature. Breakfast was especially enjoyable, with local favourites such as sweet shrimp sashimi and natto. While our initial room was not quite ideal for our personal preferences, the staff were helpful in assisting us with a room change, and we ended up in a room that suited us much better. Their assistance was greatly appreciated. One small observation is that during our three-night stay, the buffet menu remained largely the same each day. While the food was good, we found ourselves becoming a little repetitive by the second and third day. Guests staying for a longer period may appreciate a bit more variation in the menu. The hotel also offers a public bath, although we did not use it during our stay, so I am unable to provide any comments or review on that facility. One thing worth noting is that the hot spring bathing tax is still charged as part of the stay, regardless of whether guests choose to use the public bath facilities. Another plus is the coin-operated laundry facilities, which are very useful for travellers staying several days or moving between destinations. What I enjoyed most was using the hotel as a base to experience Lake Akan. During our stay we explored the forests, visited Ainu Kotan, walked the Kamuy Lumina trail, took the sightseeing cruise, visited the Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center, spotted deer and foxes, and enjoyed beautiful lake views. On our final evening, the weather was perfect. We watched the sunset over Lake Akan and later enjoyed a sky full of stars. It was a memorable way to end our stay. Overall, The Forest Akan Tsuruga Resort is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Lake Akan and the surrounding area. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

A truly memorable traditional Japanese experience. This is a very traditional Japanese hotel where we had the opportunity to experience staying in a tatami-style room for the first time. It was a unique and enjoyable experience for our family, and one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The onsen was particularly impressive and was ranked by my family as the best among all the hotels we stayed at during our journey. The hotel enjoys a beautiful location directly in front of Lake Akan, allowing us to wake up to stunning lake views in the morning. The peaceful surroundings create a sense of serenity and make it a perfect place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location is also very convenient. The Lake Akan sightseeing cruise is located right next to the hotel, while the Ainu Village, shops, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Our stay included a traditional Japanese-style dinner, which was a completely new experience for us. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. Breakfast was also included, giving us the opportunity to sample a variety of Japanese dishes. Overall, this was a unique and unforgettable stay that allowed us to experience traditional Japanese culture, hospitality, and cuisine in a beautiful lakeside setting.

Terdapat ruang bar layan diri di restoran Walaupun ianya ringkas, ia tetap merupakan pengalaman yang menyeronokkan. Hidangkan: Sikapnya cukup baik, cukup memuaskan bagi Jepun. Selepas mengesahkan bahawa tetamu menginap di rumahnya buat kali pertama, dia akan memberitahu anda tentang beberapa langkah berjaga-jaga (seperti kata laluan mata air panas, masa mata air panas, kata laluan bilik, waktu sarapan, dll.) persekitaran: Ia hanya 3 minit berjalan kaki dari stesen JR. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options—it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The accommodation was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The hotel is conveniently located near a shopping mall and plenty of eateries, making it easy to find food and do some shopping. Although parking is available for a fee, it was convenient and easy to access. Overall, I absolutely loved this hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit!

heads up if you are assigned a smoking room, you will smell cigarette/smoke odor across the hallway and inside your room BUT, except for this i had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. the room is warm during the day, i didn't have to the heater. i like the floor. the bathroom was very clean. the bed is big for one person. they have free breakfast where you can have rice, a variety of dishes and also bread (no need to show meal vouchers/coupons, they have complementary coffee from 4-10 pm. it's near the kushiro station/bus terminal. a few meters ahead, there are supermarkets and drug stores and 100 yen shop. the staff were nice.

Very convenient because close to the bus and train stations. Clean room, but not very fresh : some holes in the ceiling, the tap and the flush make noise a long time after usage, and a not very good smell (not too bad either)
