Review of Onna Resort, Okinawa About me: I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip. ⸻ 👍 What I liked: • Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends. • Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for. • View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset. • Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim. • Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming. • Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals. • Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests. ⸻ 👎 What could be improved: • Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed. • Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff. • Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask. • Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience. • Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook. • Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient. • No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight. • Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak

初めて、リッツカールトン沖縄に滞在しました。 クリスマス前なのもあり、エントランス入ると大きなツリーがありとっても素敵でした。 リッツカールトンの好きなところは、大きいホテルなのにも関わらずのんびりと静かに過ごせるところです。 お部屋も広くて本当にゆっくりと時間を過ごせました。 少し気になった点はシャワールームが少し匂う気がしました。

Fuss-free self check-in process. Our room is located in the main building and parking is free and convenient as our lot is just right outside the building. Room is comfortable and well equipped for long stays with kitchenette and washing machine. Location is very accessible to attractions (Nago Pineapple Park), shopping (Don Quixote and AEON) and restaurants.

Was impressed by the excellent service provided by Kim at the front desk, she handled our check-in efficiently. The rest of the team were also warm and friendly, and spoke fluent English. Something interesting was a self-serve room where you can get extra amenities like face wash and bar soaps, and also try different types of Okinawan brown sugar. There were lots of board games available so families would probably appreciate that. We truly enjoyed the view from our room as it had a good angle of the sea even though the hotel isn’t located at the beach. The room was huge and even had a freezer and an oven. For longer stays or if you’re visiting the beach often, the washer dryer would come in handy as well. The hotel had two restaurants for breakfast and although the variety was great, with a good mix of local and international cuisine, the quality could be improved. We had lunch on our first day and regretted our decision. Location-wise, the hotel would be better for those who intend to drive as it was quite a walk to the nearest bus stop, and the shuttle bus service was infrequent so we ended up not using it at all. 廚房提供廚具，以及基本餐具，同時還有免費的洗衣機跟烘衣機供使用，房間內光線充足，這幾天住起來很舒適方便，空間感也很足夠，但可惜的就是沒有每天提供浴巾，但整體CO值不錯～

Very clean and tidy house, there is everything you need both kitchen utensils and laundry. Easy to access, smooth CHK in and CHK out. Definitely come here again if we have a chance.

Pros: The rooms were gigantic and equipped with two ACs to keep the room cool. The staff was attentive. The location by the beach is nice. There is a lot of amenities but we weren’t able to use any because we checked in late. They seem to all close really early for some reason. Beds were comfortable and the little shops were super cute. I love the stamp rally that was happening when we were there. Cons: all the amenities closed fairly early. We weren’t able to enjoy them. You need a golf cart to get around which was extra cost. They’re quite pricey and very slow. All the restaurants booked up really quickly. Meaning unless you get there early, you have no choice in dining. We just drove out and got amazing food outside the resort.

［珊瑚島］位置雖然遠離名護市中心，但位置坐落於主要道路旁方便易找，而且附設泊車位，每套獨立旅館有不同的室內間隔，非常實用。今次選了2房雙人床的間隔，室內空間感極舒適，全屋採光自然，每個角落也能看到戶外環境，從正門簡潔的石系多肉植物小花園以至室內外的花果樹綠化甚至連浴室浴缸旁也型造一個賞葉植物的天井花園，這都是經過精心設計安排。 全屋內部以柔和的白色、灰色設計，大至客廳睡房廚房廁所的裝修、小至餐具浴巾配套的細微環節也是同一色系，看得出來都是用心誠意之作。 廚房爐具齊全清潔方便（竟然還有紅酒杯）；洗衣機乾衣機靜音、不得不說感應式水龍頭和浴室花灑出水系統都是份外驚喜。每間旅館獨立的小花園種有大紅花和蜜柑相隔確保私人空間還附設保安系統，朝早看到滿園蝴蝶翩翩起舞、晚上看到夜空星河，加上室外倘大的按摩浴池⋯⋯提升了整體住宿的層次，不得不說是一個非常舒適的住宿體驗。 另一方面，Online Check in簡便，而且還備料附近的觀光旅遊小册子，隣近又有便利店和紅樹林步道；旅程結束退房還遇到親切有禮的服務員，她更準備了一包不同口味的曲奇給我們餞別，深深感受到當地人文化及這次非一般民宿禮遇！絕對值得推薦和給予10星好評！！

It is an apartment-style accommodation (or home-stay) with no formal check-in counter or crew. For those non-Japanese without phone access, it is deemed inconvenient or difficult because calling local number for check-in is required. However the house-keeper was sharp enough to spot us struggling in front of the door via CCTV, he then walked from the building and performed check-in for us. Location is not great, adjacent to a cemetery & with only one 7-11 convenience store accessible on foot (no others shops around).Car parking available free.
