We did an early check in after a few misunderstanding. Extra towels are not free, the food at the cafe lounge is mediocre, everything needs to be paid upfront. However, the pool area itself is the redeeming factor.

had a good stay overall! the room and all amenities were clean, love that the gym is 24/7 too! service was great too where every staff member was observant, welcoming and polite, really appreciated that the housekeeping staff noticed i had asked for extra bottles of water beforehand and gave me extra without me having to request! visited for business so cannot comment on whether the location is good for leisure travels, but the nearest malls were about a 10min walk away. overall would definitely return.

This is my 2nd time staying at Discovery, although the last time I did I tried their 1 bedroom, this time I tried the deluxe one. To be honest their deluxe room that I stayed in I think needs to replace some of the furnitures or fixtures (bath tub needs to replace, the chair in the study/office table needs to be replace or fix since one of its foot is already shaking. Other than that their hospitality and how their staff respect is still awesome. I will still stay here, but maybe stay again to it’s one bedroom

This is my 4th time staying in this hotel I love the location and the size is spacious enough for me and my family of four check in and out is pretty quick. I will definitely be staying in this place again.

Came from SM megamall and didn’t want to go home so I booked this. The amenities are great too bad I wasn’t able to use because I was working. But the experience was smooth. Hoping next time they have room service or food options. would recommend

No words. Pretty excellent. Now I know why Marriot Bonvoy is pretty much good. The only thing that stuck on my head was receptionist tho, she thought I didnt prepaid hahaha so almost got 2x price. But was no problem! Bout food, ive been to 7 hotels in ortigas and i could say the best in ortigas!

Yet, you're only a short, manageable walk away from major hubs like SM Megamall, Capitol Commons, and Shangri-La Plaza. If you rely on public transport, the proximity to the Shaw Boulevard MRT station is a huge plus. It’s an ideal base for shopping, working, or accessing neighboring Ortigas Center. The Staff deserves special mention. From the security guards to the front desk, everyone is genuinely friendly, accommodating, and quick to address requests. In a large metro, great service makes all the difference, and the team here is absolutely the highlight of the stay. The Rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially compared to newer, smaller budget studios. Many units come equipped with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave in some), a comfortable desk for working, and good air conditioning. It’s a clean, safe, and functional space that is easy to call home for a few days or weeks. Areas for Improvement (Why It's a 7/10) The main drawback lies in the execution of the property's facilities and basic comforts, which occasionally feel a little dated or incomplete. * Facility Consistency: While some units might offer a full suite of amenities, the overall facilities rating tends to lag. Simple things like having a reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connection that never drops, or ensuring basic bathroom items (like a foot rug or consistent soap refills) are always present, are areas where the residence can be hit or miss. * Accessibility Check: For those traveling with a lot of luggage, prepare to handle it yourself. There’s a noticeable lack of luggage ramps or a dedicated doorman to assist upon arrival, which can be a hassle, especially on check-in day. * Evening Access: While the gated community setting is safe, the convenience gates nearest popular dining spots reportedly close around 10 PM. This means if you are out late, you might have a longer walk back through the main gate, which can be inconvenient. Verdict: If your priorities are location, safety, and having a good, functional space with excellent staff—and you're willing to overlook some minor facility and logistics kinks—The Studio 18 Residences is a smart and affordable choice. It provides far better value than many nearby hotels. It’s not a luxury experience, but it’s a perfectly reliable home base in Pasig. We had a pleasant stay at Malayan Plaza. The staff were courteous, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall service was excellent. Everyone was accommodating, which made our stay enjoyable. The only area that could use some improvement is the breakfast buffet. While the service in the dining area was good, the buffet itself had limited options and could offer more variety and better quality. Enhancing the breakfast selection would make the overall guest experience even better. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back. Hopefully, the breakfast buffet will be improved in the future.

Although we had a little bit of issue with the check-in process (1. the admin couldn’t initially find our reservation; 2. we were told to present vaccination IDs though it wasn’t stated on the booking info that it’s a requirement. I had mine but my partner didn’t have hers.), Sir Kevin (host) was kind enough to thoroughly assist us throughout our stay. The unit had decent kitchenware which we used since we stayed for 2 nights. It just seemed that the place wasn’t completely cleaned before our stay as there were still some uncollected trash inside the bin, leftover butter in the fridge (probably from the previous guest). We also noticed that the linen and duvet had some stains. I just hope those were old stains and not from the previous guest because that would be really off. Other than that, the location was spot on. For the price we paid, it was totally a steal. I just hope the overall cleanliness of the unit would be improved.
