Great service, fabulous food and very clean. You’ll want for nothing at this resort as they go out of their way to please you. Beach was free of sargassum, pools are spotless plenty of lounge chairs and Bali beds. Drinks are plentiful!!! Go and enjoy!! Rooms are spacious and clean!!!

Manny people book this hotel for the beach but is not that great, believe they short staff every bar have to wait to be served. Another good hotel not excellent.

Food is amazing. The French Restaurant has a bit of a wait but well worth it. Grounds are well maintained. Beach is beautiful. Plenty of chairs and cabanas on the beach. Super nice and professional staff. Breakfast buffet was fabulous as was our waitress Laura.

This was our 1st time in Mexico. This resort superseded our expectations !!! The staff were ALWAYS pleasant, helpful, and kind. Every request was either fulfilled or addressed in a timely manner. We were very pleased with the resort having a pillow menu, making it very comfortable for each individual. The martini bar in the lobby was top notch, and all the other bars were good. The food was AMAZING!! The choice in restaurants was great! Still remember some notable positive interactions with Benjamin, Cesar, Lucy, Sheydi, among all the rest of the superb staff! Thank you for such a memorable vacation, we can’t wait to visit again soon! Adios for now!

This is our 4th Excellence vacation and our first at Playa Mujeres. The resort is absolutely gorgeous. We had reserved an ocean view club room but it was definitely NOT THAT and was far from the Club beach. Bruce, the Club Concierge moved us efficiently. Maurizio, another concierge was also great during our stay.
The staff in general is great.
Disappointments--
There was no hot water for 14 to 15 hours. We would have expected an account credit of at least $100 instead of an apology by some poor staff person assigned the task.
The mini-bar was not filled regularly. We didn't need alcohol but definitely needed water.
The food is somewhat hit or miss.
There were long waits at restaurants even though some tables were not set. Vilma, the restaurant manager was very helpful after we complained.
The Kitchen has been changed to a sit down restaurant at lunch so you can't just run in and grab a salad.
The Club bar and restaurant are in the back of the main building with no view and the restaurant is dark.
Back to Excellence Punta Cana next year.

We have traveled to Mexico so many times, and this was our first time at Excellence. Hands down my favorite resort ever (even compared to Le Blanc). You can’t beat the service. The food is SO good! The beach is beautiful. We went down for my 40th birthday just my husband and I. It was incredible! Will definitely be going back!
