Each time we have stayed here the hot water is almost non existent. This visit we became I’ll after the water at dinner. Dinner almost impossible to get reservations due to over a day ahead and small window to make reservations. Beach is 90% gone compared to just 3 yrs ago. Half deposit was paid but had to pay again . Seeking refund

I have to say, one of the most amazing location, beach and island. The staff at this resort work hard and happy to please all hotel guests. A shout out to Guillermo at the restaurant, Roberto at the Cerviceria and Rich the concierge!!!! The hotel room they had given us was rundown and needed major upgrade. Can make it break your vacation. Bathroom needs work too. The villa we stayed us would have been perfect if not for the musty odor in the villa and outside the villa each time you walk in and out. I would consider coming back for its gorgeous property and beach. Safe and easy access to town. I hope the rooms will be renovated soon!

Beach was excellent. Location could not have been better. Ocean front villa was wonderful. Buffet food was good. They had a lot of grill options for seafood lunch/ dinner. Dinner reservations were great in the restaurant. Thomas was excellent server, even went and made me a cappuccino the second night because he remembered I loved it. I didn’t even ask. So attentive. Massages were fantastic. Rich helped us get a golf cart and sunset cruise booked through the hotel. What a beautiful place to spend a week.

They charged us additional “taxes and fees” when we checked in. The food was terrible. We’ve stayed at other all inclusives and this was by far the absolute worst. The property itself is very run down. Their bathroom towels are stained and stringy they’re so old and the beds are very uncomfortable. The only nice thing about the property is the beach and there’s tons of other beach front properties to stay at for the same price or less.

Beach awesome, staff awesome. Room ok. Only one restaurant and a buffet. Restaurant one night served a brisket that tasted like a rubber ball. Buffet was ok, ended up eating in town quite a bit.
Overall good stay, but probably one and done.

I love playa Norte! I had been there several times in different hotels in the area. The kings pool was very cool and the access to the beach is combined. The negative side will be just that the basic rooms are very small and not well maintained, it’s time for remodeling. Now I can’t talk about the bungalows becase I was not stay in there. The staff always very polite.
