Hotel berhampiran La Gloria Park, Isla Mujeres

We have stayed at IZLA hotel since it 1st opened so we have seen the changes of time. The Property is in like new condistion still, Staff is great. However what has changed is the nickle and dime charges and the excessove cost of thier food. It was $30 per persn for Breakfast option, yet yoy ucould order ala carte breakfast for 1/2 that. They give you 1 small 16oz bottle of water per day and they only sell Evian in the gift store for a outrageous cost, They now charge extra of you want a bali bed which sat empty the wntire time we were there. As for the propertym the room it was all stellar as always to us.

I just have to say… This hotel far surpassed my expectations! I found such a good price that I was a little hesitant as to what it would be like. However, all I can say is, I was extremely pleased, and will definitely stay here again! The staff is absolutely wonderful… welcoming, friendly and very accommodating! The rooms are large and have a mini fridge and a coffee pot. In the shower there is a shampoo and body wash dispenser. Another nice perk is the free bottled water they supply daily. They also have a hydration station to refill as often as necessary. The location is perfect! Literally a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal, a 5 minute walk to Playa Centro and 8-10 minute walk to Playa Norte. Directly next-door is a place to rent golf carts if you choose to do so. Keep in mind there is no where to park a golf cart at the hotel. I have read where some guests have complained about the noise, but that was never a problem for us. Yes, you are on a busy street but with the air running in the room, you honestly cannot hear it. Our room even faced the street and it was never an issue. I cannot wait to return to the island and stay here again!

We loved Selina, we stayed in the suite for 7 nights which was spacious and gorgeous. I would have loved to give a 5 out of 5 but for half our stay we had to put up with dj’s playing until 2am, and 4am on one of the nights. We asked about a room change but would have had to give up the suite, they provide earplugs but nothing can cut that noise or bass out! My suggestion would be to stay if you want a great hostel in a great location but ask for a room that’s further away from the music, if that’s even possible.

I went there for my daughter's wedding in May 22-26 2023. From the time we were picked up from the airport until we were dropped of at the airport the service was excellent! The resort was beautiful, clean and so relaxing. It was the attention to detail that impressed me the most. The rooms were amazing, with our own jacuzzi, pool access from our patio with a hammock. The massage spa on day 1 was excellent and the spa amenities were great. There were fun activities every day such as water spin cycling, water Zumba, yoga, rifle shooting, archery, beach workouts, margarita classes, aloe scrub classes and more! We participated in many of them as a group or individually. I have to tip my hat to Lancelot who was our rifle shooting, archery and margarita class instructor. His energy was great and so fun! He deserves a raise for how hard he works and his great personality. All the activities instructors and assistants were a joy to be with. I normally would not participate or just watch for a few minutes but they were so fun and nice that I wanted to participate. And they would remember your name everywhere you went which made it feel like a loving community. I learned a lot from the margarita(Lancelot) and aloe scrub(Munther) classes. I'm glad that I participated. I also played water spike ball in the pool for the first time which was surprisingly fun! The restaurants were great as well. Our favorite was the Market Kitchen buffet though because there was so much to choose from everyday and the food was very good and fast. Dukes Lobster Restaurant and Insieme Trattoria were great and had a beautiful view of the sea over the pool. The server Angel was a delight to have serve us. He made sure that we were personally taken care of everywhere we ate including Duke's, Insieme Trattoria and The Market Kitchen. I personally let him know how much I appreciated his hospitality and warm personality. He along with Lancelot and I believe it was Jose were all a joy to see everyday and I often complimented them on their excellent service. The Tropical Juice Bar was a surprising delight. At noon you could get fresh coconut water in the coconuts that they grabbed straight from the trees on the resort! The Sweet Corner was great as well with delicious various coffees, pastries and ice creams available everyday from 7am in the morning til 10pm. There was live performances every night and they were all great! I really enjoyed the Reggae Band, the Michael Jackson Experience and the Mexico Day event. The food was excellent for the Mexico Day and there was something for adults and children. We only had one negative situation which was that for some reason our room cleaning on the last full day wasn't done by 4pm and I had to call concierge twice to get it done. But they apologized eventually got it taken care of and it wasn't a big deal. It didn't hurt our over all experience at all. That was the only negative the whole trip. We spent our honeymoon in TRS hotel with my wife. Check in was very quick and smooth unlike some other reviews i read takes a few hours, maybe it was on a weekday. Francisco at the check in counter was very helpful , he helped us upgraded our room to swim up suit and it was amazing! Sostenes and Cesar assigned as our butler for our stay and they were very helpful as well and always smiling. One thing I’d like to mentioned is that they said they have 25 minutes complementary spa for us for our honeymoon, and the reception told us to meet at the lobby next morning at 8:30am to take us to breakfast and to tour us around the resort. But the next morning we realized we have to attend to the sales center where they wants to sell us some traveling package which we didn’t expect, altho they are all very nice but we spent two hours there listening to them on the first morning of our stay and it was our honeymoon. wish they would let us know earlier then I would rejected, and they said we had to attend in order to claim the complimentary spa which at the beginning they said it’s for our honeymoon. Anyways, For food I highly recommended Gaucho steak house, we tried the bone in steak and they grill them with charcoal and it was very delicious , but the second time we went the steak was over cooked a bit. During our stayed we joined two activities, one is water aerobic and paddling. Both instructor was very fun and especially Dente. He was super friendly and patient! Overall we are satisfied with our stay, and would recommend to our friends.

Saya sangat menikmati asrama ini! Ia mempunyai getaran yang baik dan orang-orang sangat akomodatif! Ia juga berwarna dan saya suka orang dan kawasan umum. Asrama ini sungguh sejuk tetapi menyeronokkan pada masa yang sama!

Everything was good. We loved the Mexican restaurant especially a man who brought breakfast got mad at me, telling me to make space for the food. There was clearly plenty of room and it wasn't even messy, but he yelled at me with all sorts of commands for no reason. It felt like he was taking it out on me, so I felt bad, but other than that, overall the stay was okay.

Great place for solo travellers. Or if you will just be coming back to hotel to sleep and shower. Fresh hot breakfast made for you in the morning. Would recommend for sure. Not too expensive given that it’s in cancun tourist area.
