Perfectly adequate for our practical needs but hotel had a large number of employees who were polite but mostly looked anxious and unhappy for some reason. This was not conducive to a pleasant atmosphere.

We spent two nights at Skaebost House while we toured Skye. This was such a serene setting to come back to at the end of some long days and brisk hikes. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights and noted that the young staff did an excellent job of managing a full house. Shout out to Ayla and Beth who kept their cool and provided service with a smile amidst all the bustle. We loved walking down to the water to watch sunset after dinner. Entire staff was warm and welcoming. Room was comfortable and clean -wifi was good even though we felt very remote. We enjoyed our time here and would come back.

The good: The location is stunning. Beautiful views of the surrounding area. Even driving the single track road in each day was beautiful. Room was spacious. Staff is friendly and lovely. Food at the restaurant is shockingly good. We didn’t have high hopes but found it to be pretty good. (Not available on Tuesdays and wednesdays) Breakfast was a reasonable continental assortment. Bar drinks available The not so great (but not bad!): The furniture and mattress feel dated as did the bathroom. Some minor issues couldn’t be resolved. Overall think of this as more or a b&b than a hotel and you won’t be disappointed.

Lost one star for the appalling first impression delivered by our very surly initial reception (Erica), but regained it through the exceptionally tasty breakfast ( best eggs ever — don’t put any sauce on them) and efficient, personable service from all other staff. Also pleasant room, great location, good cuisine and vibe in restaurant

Great location location to visit the west part of skye. 10 minutes away from the fairy glen. Breakfast was spectacular. The Pancakes were amazing and so were the eggs with salmon. Amazing buffet aswell. It just doesn't have amenities (shampoo and body wash), so bring some.
