I had an amazing stay here on June 11 2023. Arrived and was greeted with friendly employees who was willing to assist me with my luggage and with a bright smile too! Met Omer from concierge and we spoke for a brief period of time with him explaining to me about the whereabouts in Istanbul. Also, Kubra showed me to my room and explained in detail about the room amenities. Before checking out, when I had my breakfast ( great selection) Kubra showed up, asked about my stay, whether everything was alright and my experience visiting Istanbul. She and the rest of the bellman team even send me off. So sweet of them! Room was cosy and I like the ambience of it. Location was great since it is near all the attractions. My stay was for two nights. If you want a hotel that is not too busy and crazy, i would suggest this hotel. Shoutout to Kubra and Omer! Hope to see the both of you when I am back in Istanbul!

This hotel is impeccably clean and modern. The staff, lead by manager Ugur, was very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome here. The top floor restaurant has an incredible breakfast buffet, and the dinner menu was very nice too. Great views are a bonus. Although the neighborhood is off the main thoroughfare, it is a short walk to everything. Our Deluxe Double room had a king size bed. The bathroom was small, but complete. Very satisfied with the hotel.

This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Istanbul. The rooms are not very big, however the hotel is spacious. Everything is clean. Breakfast that is included in the room is not very good. We went early to breakfast and the restaurant was extremely cold as they didn't turn on the AC ahead. The view from that restaurant is splendid.

Absolutely Perfact place for visitors. Very clean very nice and very convenient. Front Desk stuff are full of happy welcoming and always able to help you out. Everything about this place is perfect. Don't get shocked by the small entrance and reception. We arrived at 2:00 am in the morning and Mr. Mourad welcomed us in a friendly way and even offered food since we will not be able to wake up early for breakfast 😅. The room is very clean and spacious (deluxe). The location is very close to tram and walking distance to a looooot of places. We have a very close supermarket, money exchange places, restaurants, even taxis are everywhere. The room is clean and the service is exquisite. The breakfast is cute and nice prepared by Ms. Areefa. During the day we met Mr. Kevin who is very welcoming and friendly as well. The Hotel staff were like our family, caring and warm. If I am back to Istanbul, that will very my choice to stay

They are focussed on providing a seamless, caring and insightful experience of Istanbul. The breakfasts were healthy, vast and extremely tasty. The rooms are spotless and quiet for a city centre, with an internet connection on the TV where you can access youtube for some tranquility. East meets west in Istanbul and the whole holistic experience gave us a holiday of a lifetime. We will be back soon to Carima Gold to shop, sight see, take in Turkeys magnificent history and eat the amazing food. Thank you so much from myself and all my family.

The local building code does not require an exhaust fan in the bathroom. I guess it is not a huge issue, but somewhat different from a typical North American hotel.

We really enjoyed our interaction with the respectable receptionist, Eren. His friendly and humorous nature instantly put us at ease. He even kindly offered us tea and allowed us to use the printer for our boarding passes. Such a welcoming attitude truly enhances the overall experience. However, this was our 6th stay at Leyanda Hotel since 2016, and we were disappointed with our experience in 2023. We noticed several areas where the hotel has regressed. First and foremost, the increased pricing didn't align with the value we received. Unfortunately, there were no perks or discounts offered for loyal customers, which was quite disheartening. The behaviour of the other receptionists during our stay was a stark contrast to Eren and our previous visits. They were rude, lacked basic manners, and seemed unwilling to assist with any of our requests. When we requested an extension of our stay at a discounted rate, we were quoted a higher price than what was available on ***********. One of the major letdowns was the breakfast. In previous years, it was a delightful spread with a wide variety of options. However, this time, it was notably limited, with an excessive focus on cheese and salad. While cheese can be enjoyable, we missed the variety of fruits, cakes, and hot items that were once offered. The use of large bowls instead of packaged jams and chocolate spreads made things messy and less appealing. Chipped tea cups were not expected, and the tea itself left much to be desired. It tasted like hot water and was clearly not brewed properly. Even the tea facilities in the room were lacking, with small disposable cups, unlike the proper tea cups found in most boutique hotels. Maintenance issues were prevalent throughout our room. One of the bedside lamps was missing. Additionally, a cupboard handle was also missing and it took a complaint to have one replaced. The bedside table had a broken glass, and a sharp edge posed a safety hazard. Finally, the shower gutter had a drainage problem, which resulted in water pooling during showers. It's our hope that these issues can be addressed to bring Leyanda Hotel back to the high standards we had experienced on our previous visits
