Taximist Hotel

Excellent location, staff , room and breakfast. Value for money. I am unlikely to return to Istanbul but this hotel is ideal for the sightseer. Would thoroughly recommend.

The hotel is located close to Taksim Square but it was far enough that it wasn’t loud/noisy at night. They gave me a free upgrade to two connecting rooms (from the one famiy room that I booked) and the rooms were clean and quite spacious. During my stay, my sister lost the keycard to her room and the hotel just gave me a new one without any extra charges (something that I won’t see in my home country). I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay near Taksim area!

A very good and a cleaned hotel with friendly staffs. Feeling like among your family. Thanks for all who made my trip more comfortable.

Hotel location is quite good but in a steep street,very small entrance and reception(like family own style). Room rise good for 1 person, a basic room tbh. Breakfast minimum choice and small dining space. For me it’s 3/5. The young boy at reception is helpful tho ,he can speak good English and help carry luggage’s.

Не советую. Забронировали стандарт, при брони уточнили, что хотим номер повыше. В итоге нас заселили в подвал, рядом со столовой и грязной лестницей, где постоянно всем гремели. Когда мы попросили нас переселить, нам отказали, сославшись, что свободных номеров нет и вообще они дали нам номер больше (на 4 места, мы бронировали на 2). НО 4 места нам не нужно. Местоположение близко к метро, но дорога к отелю из грязного узкого тротуара. У нас было окно, но оно выходило в бетонную стену. Пол в зоне за окном был липким и грязным. Сам номер тоже не первой свежести (фото с полом). В самом номере было чисто, не было неприятных запахов, нехолодно. На завтрак были всегда яйца, сыр, колбаса, фрукты, овощи. Завтрак норм

To start with, the staff and their support were excellent. However, things start falling apart when it comes to the maintenance and the overall cleanliness of the property. Breakfast is provided, but it's in the basement in a very small room and is congested. If not for the staff, I feel I wouldn't have given it 4 stars at all!

The positives about this hotel: The staff, who are exceptionally pleasant and helpful, noticible was the unusually large amount of different staff that man the reception desk, some don't speak English. Location is about 5-7 mins walk to Taksim Square. The rooms are a fair size. The Negatives: Breakfast is dire, tasteless, and lacking any imagination. The juice is the supermarkets' cheapest. Given the fantastic amount of fruits available in this country, there was none on display, not even watermelon, What was available was a few damaged apples and mouldy oranges. No yoghurt or fresh milk. Nice selection of cheese and bread, which made up our daily breakfast with a boiled egg. Bedroom: Rooms are a decent size for 2 people. The bathroom is OK, size Good power from both rainfall and handheld shower. Empty Mini bar fridge works well, if you request an extra room card and leave it in place during your stay, otherwise when it's removed electricity is shut off from the room and drinks in the fridge don't stay cold, 2 complimentary water bottles are a nice touch. Towels and bedding are of very poor quality, and torn, no Matress or pillow protectors. Lumpy pillows does not aid a decent sleep, The flooring is lifting and separating at the joins, which resulted in stubbed toes, Whilst I appreciate its not easy cleaning around luggage. Between guests might be a good time to clean under the bed and also the area below the fridge where dust collects if not cleaned regularly.
