Not clean, the room has bad smelling. Towels are too old and dirty, pillows are too old too and really out of use. The price per night is really high. Never try to choose this hotel for your trip.

**Terrible Experience: Money Stolen from My Room** I recently stayed at Hotel Gonen Taksim Istanbul and had a truly awful experience. During my stay, a significant amount of money was stolen from my room. I had securely placed my cash in my safe, and upon returning from a day out, I discovered that it was missing. When I reported the theft to the hotel management, their response was dismissive and unhelpful. They showed no concern or urgency in addressing the issue, and it was clear that they had no proper security measures in place to prevent such incidents. Despite repeated requests, I received no support or compensation. This experience completely ruined my trip, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of security and indifferent attitude of the staff make it a highly unsafe place to stay. Beware and stay elsewhere if you value your belongings and peace of mind.

Zero star Reception staff is rude and they talk as if you are using free shelter Restaurant closes before closing time and they don’t care if you call them for food. It’s a hotel where they want money not you to be there. I m sorry I stayed there. I hope they will change themselves or close.

one of the bes location ever in Taksim,Istanbul w've been here couple weeks ago and it was awesome, but there is some tips that you should know about the Hotel, first of all, if you travel as a couple DONT TAKE STANDARD ROOM, cuase it's too small and there is no room for luggage or bags if yu love to bud try Deluxe room that's so good another tip is this hotel is not cheap , that is expensive hotel as a 4 star hotel maybe 217 £ per night breakfast is so good include everything cold and warm + coffe bar but golden tip is the location les than 1 min to Taksim square directly, vecinity of Taksim simit and Istiklal St, we definitly choose this hotel again but not standard room cleaning room rate : i would say 4/5

Prons: The hotel look nice Cons: 1- receptionist are rude and not professional. 2- the concierge shout on children while adult with them available “ he could speak to the adult nicely” 3- breakfast the same no changes. In detail: upon arriving to the hotel I figured that my booking for 3 rooms was a single occupancy “2130€” for 6 nights although it say for each deluxe room max allow is 3 adults The total guest were 11 “ 5 children between 6-10” and 6 adult, the manager make an offer to provide us a 2 suite in the first day then transfer to the three rooms the next day. For that offer add 1260€ extra, I paid and agree. 1st day: ok, 2nd day the room not clean “mug with some tea and cigarettes” found in the room, “some linen torn”, the room service clean the room and steal the card from the slot “the a/c closed”, The receptionist transfer us to two room and make the third room under the name of the partner “which confuse us”, day3: the paper for the laundry in the room you check the price it was 11.5€. day5:At the time when I want to check out the lady told me I am all set, I told her I have a laundry request she show me the same paper with 16€. day6: I went to the receptionist to request the concierge to help in transfer the language, he told me there is 2% extra fee accommodation from the total price need to be paid. “In the end it was not pleasant to stay, rude stuff, not smiling, not children friendly, not professional, not clean, very very expensive, small room, busy elevator” My recommendation not worth the money you spend and will affect your travel experience”

Definitely this hotel needs to improve the breakfast, very poor ,also the service in the breakfast area was very unpleasant The waiters were very busy joking each other and running ,yes running as playing. The food looks sad poor variety The room is small and the mattress and pillows Definitely are old.

I don’t know where to start. First of all there was construction work next to the hotel, which was fine what was shocking is the moment we told them we wanted to change rooms to the other side of the building because of the noise they they didn’t agree even though there were spare rooms. Second, breakfast was awful, not many options, waiters were rude and pissed all the time, no sweets at all the only thing you’ll enjoy is an omelette and bread with butter or chocolate maybe some cornflakes. Third, when sister and I went down to check the pool they told us we can’t go in, no one was there, and said you can only look. Fourth, elevator was stuck for about 15mins which had us going down the stairs from the 6th floor to the lobby. Fifth, room service workers would knock twice and then open the door with no permission. Privacy? Basically my trip was ruined. the only nice part was us leaving the hotel and this one worker who helped us with weighing the bags.

Location is good( it’s near the main metro station) Cleanliness is good Breakfast is weak Staff are friendly but not so professional Rooms are good furniture but they’re so small The wall of room is thin and the sound of other rooms is hearing…

The reception was very friendly. Breakfast was served on the top floor of the hotel which had a great view. The hotel room is very small and the breakfasts are repetitive. There are no good restaurants around the hotel.Do not expect silence due to the proximity of the hotel to Taksim Square.

Location is great and the view of the rooftop restaurant which is only open during breakfast. Other aspects are awful. Very old hotel not to much clean and everything inside the room is almost out of order. At the checkout time the receptionist told us you pick up something from minibar and he charged me.

We have been in taksim gonen for second times. Its a hotel that i recommende becuz of excelent location that is very close to taksim , just a few steps . Their breakfast is very good with variety for all nations and restaurant located at top floor with beautifull viwe. Staff are very polite and helpfull , they gave us a room that i asked for and oneday i asked them to received the pocket for me and they did . They clean our room everyday and charg everything that we needed (specially tnx gul hanim) . The only things that i have to mention is that they have to renew the rooms becuz most of the things needs to be changed . In overall i like the hotel and in the future i will go there again.
