We've just returned from the Atlantica Princess Hotel, Rhodes, where we spent 10 nights, on a Tui All Inclusive holiday, flying out of Cardiff. A really nice Hotel, that is advertised as 4*. Our room was on the top floor, with a large balcony overlooking the pool and was really spacious, with an ensuite bathroom and WC. The room was spotless and cleaned meticulously every day. The only point, that others have made, is the hallways and corridors are quite dark and the carpets are tired looking. Another issue, albeit not that significant, is the fact that there are only two lifts serving the four floors, one of which is extremely small, holding four persons max, so delays can be inevitable. The entrance foyer and lounge areas are very large and accomodating, with a small shop situated near the main lift. Again, as my comment on the hallways stated, whilst the furniture is very comfortable, the seating looks a little tired, but does not detract from the overall ambiance. Off this area, is the main restaurant, where breakfast and dinner is served. The room is very large and functional, but could benefit from some updating. The food served here was varied, plentiful, with many themed nights, the waiters and servers were so attentive and the table service was first class. Lunch was served outdoors in a separate area, again it was buffet style, with the same variety of different options as the main restaurant. Here too, the servers and waiters were brilliant and nothing was any trouble for them. The pool is situated in this outside area, it is a large pool with plentiful numbers of sun loungers. However, you will need to place your towels on your chosen loungers early, as there were issues, when we were there, of people placing their towels on loungers at 8.00am but then not using them until mid afternoon, a practice that the Hotel should stamp out. In this outside area, there is a Bar plus a separate snack bar. The bar was very busy and the blonde haired lady, who worked there, was brilliant, very welcoming and knew her stuff and certainly worked so hard, a true credit to the Hotel Organisation. The snack bar, served kebabs, burgers, hotdogs, chips etc., and was also very busy throughout the day. Approximately 150 metres from the Hotel is a pebble beach with sunbeds and a small Bar/Food outlet. There is a charge to use the beds here, I think it was €8 a day, I'm not 100% sure as we didn't like the pebble beach and used the Hotel pool every day. The true bonus at this Hotel is the staff! Without exception, they were friendly, welcoming and truly a credit to the Hotel. Nothing was too much bother and whoever you met, you would be met with a broad smile and a very warm welcome, whatever time of day or night it was. I have to mention a few staff members who stood out as being so friendly: firstly there was Alex, he was the 'Maître d'hôtel' at the restaurant, the most efficient and welcoming person I have had the fortune to meet, he made us feel special
