Alila Fort Bishangarh

We recently spent 3 nights at the ALILA Fort Bishangarh. Everything about our stay was fantastic! When we arrived to check in we were greeted with a cool drink and music by local Rajasthsni musicians. The colorful costumes of the musicians added to the unique nature of the arrival process. After enjoying the view of the imposing, historical fort from below, we were whisked up to our rooms in the fort via electric golf carts. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom amenities were perfect. The views out the windows of the surrounding countryside were outstanding. Each day we found an assortment of delicious local snacks in our room when we returned. We tried all of the restaurants and enjoyed everything we had. A special treat was dinner on the roof with traditional Rajasthani cooking and musicians serenading us. We also enjoyed our breakfasts. Our waiter, Aditya, was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. We tried a number of Indian breakfast items based on his recommendation and that added to the authenticity of our experience. We participated in many of the experiences offered by the hotel. A camel cart ride through the village, a tiger safari, archery, cricket and a tour of the kitchen garden. All of the staff were gracious and patient with us as we tried the local activities. My wife used the spa and enjoyed a very unique oil treatment for her “third eye.” And the high tea in the afternoon was delightful- a delicious array of sweet and savory treats to accompany our tea. Staying at the Alika Fort Bishangarh was truly a unique experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the local culture while relaxing at a historic, luxurious resort.

Everything was as expected for 5 star premium hotel. Location of the hotel is old historic fort reconverted to hotel, hotel activities are also good. Everything as expected for the price paid, with the exception of booked dinner activity. Food, view and service were excellent but location was not. We booked nazaara chhati table, the view of the village was awesome and the food was good, only big downside was rthat the table is located right beside the very noisy a/c external equipment. The stage of the live music was very far, impossible to enjoy the show. Only quiet time of the night were the 10 seconds of electrical blackout. I think, for the price paid (around 300 usd for dinner only), booking anormal table in nazaara would have been much better.

Amazing history, delicious food, great hospitality, loved the vibe, couldn’t ask for anything more, looking forward to visit again. Mr. Ayush served some great cocktails.

You drive through a rural village about an hour outside of Jaipur. After entering the gate you’re greeted at the open air lobby with refreshing towels and a drink. We arrived just in time for afternoon tea which is served at the lobby and next to the pool. We were given a very thorough tour which was helpful because the hotel and grounds are a bit of a maze. We really enjoyed breakfast at the 2nd floor restaurant. Afternoon tea was good and the pool was relaxing. The room we had was huge and well appointed. The golf cart ride up and down the hill between the rooms and the lobby was fun and we never had to wait too long. The one downside was that we didn’t feel well after the dinner on the rooftop restaurant on the 7th floor. Overall the stay was worth the experience once.

It was really a very nice experience… the food quality and taste was amazing and the staff was very helpful and was going beyond the limits to help and make our stay most comfortable

Very well maintained and well managed fort stay by Alila. Staff is amazing and takes care of every basic need. To summarise this stay -Luxurious relaxing peaceful stay. High tea could be improved whereas breakfast was the best ever .

Alila Fort is a stunning hotel about an hour and a half from Jaipur. Whilst it is based in a very small village, the hotel is well equipped with providing activities. We booked the safari and the hot air ballon ride. They also have cricket, badminton a spa and a fantastic pool which we really enjoyed. Definitely try the Guava Gazpacho!
