PPengguna TetamuWe like having stay-cations in many hotels all around which we are sometimes interested in. My husband is used to drinking a lot of mineral water daily. That's a good benefit for his health, but it was really problematic this time as we didn't find mineral water easily, nor access to it free of charge at any time, as we would have liked to have had in the Yuan Garden Pasar Baru hotel. It's a bit embarrassing for me as the hotel employee told him not to take a lot of mineral water nor to fill many bottles after the breakfast buffet time. My husband insisted on filling his bottles with mineral water for free from the hotel in the evening.
My husband has money. But he doesn't want to use his money only for mineral water in the hotel. We had been to Kristal hotel, Ayaka suites and FM7 hotel, and interestingly they had mineral water available for the guests for free at any time we needed it. Maybe Yuan Garden Pasar Baru hotel can help by upgrading their service next time with this mineral water availability. I don't feel I want to have a stay-cation in that hotel again, as my husband is a bit demanding/complicated in relation to mineral water to drink. It's really embarrassing for me. We will go to Europe this coming August, God willing. He can drink from the tap as much water as he wants. Hehehe, sorry about my husband being so demanding/a bit complicated.
The receptionist was very helpful.
We chose a non-smoking room. The receptionist gave us a non-smoking room, on the 29th floor, with a good view. I have a sensitive sense of smell. As soon as the room door was opened, instantly I felt unwell. The room smelled of smoke. Somebody must have been smoking in the room, and the smoke attached itself to the room walls. The windows are sealed, and so they can't be opened, and the air-conditioning takes time to cool down the room. My body felt unwell, and I had fever instantly. I was feeling much better before I entered the room. We asked for another non-smoking room, a 17th floor room. Just like ”sweet 17”, hopefully the room would be nice, exactly as we were expecting it to be.
The receptionist gave us room 1705. The room is much smaller, with a small window, and not an interesting view, but it clearly had no smokey smell. It was a good clean room. I'd rather have a bad view, a small room, with clean air, than have a good view, a big room, with bad air. I don't want to be sick, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic. We liked the room for the good clean air.
Next, we had a problem again.
We had a rest after breakfast during the day time, and there was banging, hard knocking, repetitively, which happened from about noon till late afternoon, 4pm.
I called reception about the noise, and they heard it too, through the phone, while I was talking to them. They said that there were repairs being done on the lift, and they were sorry about it. Afterwards, there was no more banging noise anymore. But after a while, the noise came back again, until late afternoon. My husband called reception again, and we decided to change the room. Afterwards, the hard knocking stopped again, and after some time, we decided to cancel the room change. At 5pm, we went out of the room for some swimming.
It's very challenging . . . Not really easy to stay in the Yuan Garden Pasar Baru hotel . . . But, the plus is . . . the food, as we noticed the outstanding reviews for the food buffet before we booked the room. We liked the food, though I had a stomach ache for hours after breakfast . . . guess I ate too much squid . . . Hehehe.
I still liked the food . . . thumbs up for the food. Extraordinary food.
